I felt a little "meh" with the direct. A few things tickled my fancy, but i possibly may not triple dip on Twilight Princess. Unless they add a few extra features like they did with Wind Waker HD, i don't see myself getting it. More so if the price is too high.

Over the weekend, started A Telltale Games: The Walking Dead Season 1. It felt like i was in the world of the series (but i guess that's what it's meant to do) But what a game though, glad i played it.

A Driveclub league would be something i'd be interested in.

Everything i played (as long as it appeared on the feed) is on the bottom left corner of @Cube's feeds. For a larger screen, here* is a link to my Twitch channel showing all the games i played via my PS4 (i think some of it has been cut off, i only recall not being on the PlayStation for about 4, maybe 5 hours as i was either on the WiiU or on Toilet Tycoon) *List is on the right side of the linked video. For a first time at Extra Life, i thought it went very well indeed. Have to thank Cube for allowing me to stay over and partake in the event, great time none the less. Playing "The Jackbock Party Box" across the pond with Team Canada (feat: @flameboy) was a highlight. "Charlie's Chaplin" will become part of N-Europe Extra Life history. Great event none the less, quite tired (of which a much needed lie-in tomorrow will occur). I loved it, and if an opportunity to do Extra Life again came up either next year or down the line, i'd most likely do it again.

Finished Assassin's Creed: Syndicate earlier.
-
Doesn't Ubisoft have different studios working on each years incarnation of Assassin's Creed? Anywho, just finished Syndicate. Full thoughts in the game diary thread, but i thought the game was brilliant. Ok, there are a few gliches and bugs. In comparison to Unity, very minor though. I enjoyed switching between Jacob and Evie in the freeroam.

Sony decided to block my card for no reason what so ever, i used it to pay for Taken King back in September. So when i come to buy Walking Dead season 1 and Surgeon Simulator (both for Extra Life), it says "Payment not accepted, please try again". I contact Sony to ask for advice, whom promptly say the card has been blocked for 7 days for "security purposes". They did say i can use pre-paid cards instead, which isn't the point really. Sigh, shall get this sorted.

Vote: Which was your favorite Nintendo console/handheld?
Jimbob replied to Dcubed's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The Gamecube remains my favorite Nintendo console. It was the first console i paid for out of my own earned money (well, 1/2 of it anyway. I used 1/2 my birthday money on top of it). and it's for the following reasons The controller remains very much perfect to this day. Perfect placement of the control sticks, buttons and overall design of the pad. It fitted beautifully in my hands, and worked wonders in terms of gaming. Then it's the games, and what a collection the Gamecube had. The N64 was great at delivering 3D environments into games, but the Gamecube had the power to make these environments breathtaking (for it's time of course). No-one whom played Metroid Prime can really argue with how great that game looked (Phendrana Drifts made me go "wow"). That game was epic on so, so many levels. F-Zero GX, that looked phenominal (played well, but less said about the CPU the better). Smash Brothers: Melee, Super Mario Sunshine, Rogue Squadron and Wind Waker are great examples of games that outdid their N64 counterparts in terms of gameplay (Wind Waker stands out graphically as it still looks good to this day in comparision to other games. The same can be said about Rogue Squadron really, that game was fantastic (and a launch game as well)). Over the years, i had some great moments on that console, way too many to name them all. And when Twilight Princess came out at the end of it's life (and at the beginning of the Wii's life, it was a fitting swansong for a great machine. -
I think the community events in-game are broken

So that's a season 1 Walking Dead purchase this weekend (£10 on PSN atm)

If the rumours are true, then season 1 of The Walking Dead is on a halloween sale at the moment, so that would be great timing indeed.

One final "Donate to Play" game, picked up a copy of Surgeon Simulator for the PS4. And, due to PS+, i shall be adding The Walking Dead Seasons 1 and 2 to my list. Meaning, my list for Extra Life on the 7th November is now complete Updated Watch Dogs (PS4) Destiny (PS4) Super Mario Brothers 1, 2 and 3 (WiiU) The Walking Dead Seasons 1 and 2 (PS4) Donkey Kong County: Tropical Freeze (WiiU) Witcher 3 (PS4) Driveclub (PS4) Non-console game Gwent Donate to play games Race the Sun (PS4) Surgeon Simulator (PS4) Octodad: Dadliest Catch (PS4) Turtle Tale (WiiU version) Kick Beats (PS4) Edit: I put Walking Dead in as i'm currently getting my Assassin's Creed fix from Syndicate. However, the Gwent game may not be available in time for the stream, it's coming from America and might not be with me in time.

Should be ok, depending on traffic/trains. I'm in.

I honestly enjoyed Watch Dogs, i took it for what it was, and firmly believe that as and when Ubisoft make a 2nd game that it will have more to it. Think of Watch Dogs like the very first Assassin's Creed game.
-
Certainly sounds interesting, earning points as you play. That will encourage (hopefully) more people to play Nintendo games.
-
If this was delayed just so it was put onto the PS VR, would anyone be surprised?.
-
I'll be sure to pick this up at the end of the week, certainly a nice surprise indeed.

Bumpety Bump So, the US GP just happened.

I quite like the jump between Jacob and Evie, both characters have their own traits. Evie is more like Ezio and Jacob more like Edward Kenway. So far, i'm quite impressed. It's like so far Ubisoft have learned from Unity and the botch up that was. Edit: Expect a decent length game-install, first mission or two then it's playing the waiting game.
-
My copy arrived earlier, will have most of the evening on it. I have heard that none of the stuff that was in Unity made it over. So none of that log into x website or app to unlock a chest shit, which i hated. No co-op or random missions needing a 2nd player or anything, which sounds promising indeed.

It's basically YouTube doing a Netflix and creating their own "shows" that will be pay to watch (and watch offline, in background and watch videos/clips ad-free*). Clips, vloggers etc. Them types of videos won't go behind a paywall. *This part would bother some content creators, they rely on ads as much as YouTube do.

In the news, it would seem Youtube are launching a "Paid Subscription" service known as YouTube Red. Will feature exclusive content made by popular creators and have original content. Myself, i reckon this will begin (or continue) the demise of YouTube as we know it. Thoughts Edit: Having read further into it, the current model of YouTube remains as it is for free (all creators whom make videos we like). It's just that those paying for Red get the same service of videos, just ad-free and now have access to new YouTube-only "original" content. And those paying for Google music/YouTube music get Red thrown in for no additional cost. So yeah, YouTube remains the same. Just adding an ad-free version with original content.
