  1. I think "indept" was meant to be "in-depth" as opposed to "inept" :p
  2. I'm pretty sure that's not true, there's been plenty of chatter about eshop accounts and you can just make a UK account.
  3. Just got a text, dispatched from Simply Games! Coincidentally, it's also the reason I no longer put any stock in a Famitsu 40/40.
  4. Who is angry? If you had one on pre-order you'd probably be in here with the rest of us hyping over when it's going to be delivered. I don't understand peoples need to come in here and judge us just because we're excited/anxious. This is N-Europe, we're waiting for the next Nintendo system to arrive. What should get us more excitable than this??
  5. Haha, it's just exciting to me! The only way I'll start to feel anxious is if it looks like it's arriving Saturday... cos then it wouldn't be in my hands til Monday D:
  6. Instead of cancelling, keep it and resell it, or return it? Did you see the gaf post saying that a controller ordered from NUK yesterday has a scheduled delivery for today at 3pm?
  7. ^ I would really see it as the Bethesda style, not the Ubisoft style. And I would agree with those "many people" anyway. Why do so many people insist in being a pain in the butt with technicalities?? In modern gaming, you know what open world means. You just do. It means a large, sprawling overworld which does not just have a fixed set of exit points that lead to a short list of destinations that you have to visit, roughly in order (like OoT), but rather lots of events, sub-objectives, places you didn't know were there before you explored. You can look to the distance and then visit that place, it's not just walled off by a tree-wall or whatever. Whilst Zelda 1 may have fit this archetype, it was built long ago under technical limitations that made said map ultimately very small and obviously two dimensional. It was a relatively "free roaming" approach to gameplay but it didn't meet the modern representation of a "world", never mind an open one. If anything, I would say the closest we came to an open world Zelda was Wind Waker.
  8. Yeah I figured, hence why I made a note, just like they did, of saying "console multiplayer" :p It would always be PC first since it's developed on that platform.
  9. Not easy at all. Hence why the PS4 broke a trend having no real backwards compatibility, no library of PS1 games etc. The architecture totally changed. A few PS3 games have been re-released but not en masse as they require actual porting rather than straight emulation.
  10. Getting console multiplayer on Stardew Valley first is a really significant point of note to me. It means Nintendo have gone out of their way to secure an exclusive agreement with the developer, which whilst not the greatest sign for the industry in general, is a pointer that they're getting a bit more up to date in terms of what it takes to compete.
  11. Maybe I will be playing on launch day after all! Thanks to Nintendo's optimistic delivery process. If something holds it up, I might not get it til Monday. Which seems dumb when I could instead be showing up to a store to pick one up on what is essentially Thursday night.
  12. Pretty disappointed nothing dispatched yesterday. I guess they really don't want to break street date, which is stupid because so many people have one already, and Zelda leaked for the Wii U. Time to just get it out there and get that buzz going!
  13. Considering its launching without VC, what games are you expecting to download...?
  14. Ahh, just got an email from Nintendo and got my hopes way up but it turned out to be just a marketing email
  15. Switch at Nintendo, Zelda at Simply Games and a backup Zelda on Amazon and nothing has dispatched yet. mild first world panic
  16. ^ Same here, but I did pre-order immediately when it was available so hoping for that to change soon! If Nintendo dispatch today, isn't there a chance of getting it tomorrow?? Edit: Just seen the exact 'gaf post you got that from @Serebii :p
  17. Gaming is my main interest and hobby, and Nintendo one of my oldest loves. If I don't splash out on that, what am I even working all these hours of my life for? :p
  18. You thought you'd escaped Amazon by going to GAME?? Simply Games or Shopto if you want your games on or before release.
  19. I find fishing easy now, with a better rod, the cork bobber is my fav, maxed out my skill and regular bait it goes just fine.
  20. I'm expecting or very much hoping that Nintendo will get me the system well before launch day! I'm only getting Zelda and no extras which I'm perfectly happy with. Zelda is coming from a different place so I'm really hoping they'll both arrive same day! In a week or so I'll get a memory card and Snipperclips but other than that, I feel no urge to own anything else in a hurry (and that's ok!) You should really see a doctor instead of treating yourself! Ayyyy (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
  21. The next version of the OS will allow use of External HDDs. So best bet is probably just wait a bit for that. Otherwise the typical suggestion is to get one of these: http://www.argos.co.uk/product/2489935 And pry it out of the enclosure.
  22. Do we need to pick ourselves up a hefty SD card to go with our new Switch if we don't have one spare?
  23. Same here! Someone break down what we're getting? I'm seeing a confusing number of subtitles being thrown around.
  24. Game over man, game over
  25. Just don't be surprised if those price drops never happen....
