I agree with the above wholeheartedly. Except who the fuck is using their console browser instead of their phone :p

^ Doubt spaces would be exempt from the count (still fits but with only one character remaining ), which made the following more difficult than expected. Appealing to your Overwatch side: Nerf this Winkyface Need healing! Push off... It's High Noon Open your mind Gravity kills Not dead yet HeroesNeverDie If you can do non-latin characters: Mei: 谢谢 (Thank you) 「凍住,不許走!」(Freeze, don't move) 「冰牆,升起來吧!」 (Ice Wall Coming Up (lit: Raise, ice wall)) Ana: وريهم قوتك (Show them your strength) ده حيكون مؤلم (This is going to hurt)

Sneaky bastards, I'm now fighting temptation to buy it while it's cheaper :p
-
It really is just a bit of plastic with a USB connection that splits two ways, literally a couple of quid's worth of components... might make my own!
-
Even though I'm super cynical about the whole thing I just pre-ordered red/blue and Zelda Special Edition from the Nintendo store
-
So lemme get this right, with the console bought out of the box and no extras, I'd have to stop playing on my TV in order to charge the controllers? Can you keep playing on the TV with the Switch in "portable" mode?
-
Well my hype is dead. Pre-order cancelled.

I figured as much, which is why my excitement isn't completely extinguished. I hope there is at least one or two more surprises in the pipeline. That first reveal of the Switch got me so hyped, can't wait to see more. (Although, won't be getting up at 4am for it cos yknow... I have a job and stuff).
-
The rumour list is the first thing to turn down my excitement levels to be honest. There's nothing there to grab my interest beyond what I was expecting anyway. I guess I really just constantly hope for one particular series to return and am always disappointed....

Love to hear if anyone else remembers these as fondly as me, they're not that left field but they're certainly not all counted amongst the classics. Commodore 64: Batman Pang Ghostbusters PC: Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis Little Big Adventure The Lost Vikings NES: Adventure Island II Mega Drive: Batman Forever Vectorman Gameboy/GBC: Bionic Commando Worms R-Type DX Gameboy Advance: Scorpion King N64: Rocket: Robot on Wheels Cruisin' World WCW vs. NWO Revenge GC: SSX 3 (loved it more than Tricky but nobody seems to look back on it as fondly as the latter) Vexx

Not in the shot by accident :p A forum prize to anyone who can show me somewhere else they've seen the one on the right....

It's a nice display item but I've seen etsy-made wooden ones that felt more true-to-life. I found it funny when they talked about the complexity of hanging it on your wall, like nobody ever hung anything heavy on a wall before. I'm sure it's not heavier than a huge mirror for example. Btw can I count this under collectibles? Had it most of my life

Was it a Moto G (4) by any chance.

Not that ridiculous :p it's funny how often I don't want to switch disks, even though it's no more effort than say... getting up to get a drink or other biological necessities. I'm far more likely to dip in and out of a game if I have it digital. It's just a shame that none of the consoles have embraced sensible digital pricing for full price titles the way Steam has yet. Xbox One could've probably made an industry-wide change for the better if people hadn't lost their shit at the idea of not being able to resell their games.

Really :/ I guess I forgot that the Wii U didn't have one.... The Switch feels like a more "grown up" console to me though so it wouldn't be that crazy to buck the trend. Well as long as there's a solution for those that need it, it's not a big deal to me. Not having an ethernet port should save production costs. Not keen on wires myself but all my console ethernet cables are hidden away behind my TV stand... don't see them at all. Wired connections are much more reliable than wireless, especially for fast paced competitive gaming where latency is so important, so I go wired wherever possible.
-
I imagine the adapter is for the handset itself, which probably isn't even thick enough to have an ethernet port, in case you don't have wifi where you are. I'm sure the base unit will have ethernet.

I do too, are they from the same people? The only reason I'm now playing the second is because I'd unlocked almost everything I wanted on the first game. Hopefully the second will add characters at a similar pace to its predecessor. There are some things that are much better and some things that are sadly just missing, like the swipe QTEs for banking and the boss fights (outside of events, as far as I can tell?) From your list, Lara Croft Go is amazing. The art and music in that game is fab, much preferred it to the more recent Deus Ex Go too.

No I'm getting flashbacks to the Wii. Flashbacks of trying to fit a game on and having a breakdown because there was no external HDD solutions.
-
I really enjoyed stronglifts 5x5 for a good while, it's a great way to get into free weights and measure your progress. Even splashed out on the full app if I remember rightly.
-
And ridiculously expensive. I almost bought a PSVR a couple of times but knowing I'd have to source two overpriced Move controllers to get the most out of it actually stopped me.

Boy you'd think staying out of the Breath of the Wild thread would keep you free of gameplay spoilers but hey, I guess you never know where they'll pop up...

So, I kinda fell out with this show. The first season was pretty gripping, dark, mysterious. Moriarty had an incredibly dangerous presence. After that though, I liked it less and less over time. It was painfully self-aware, overflowing with jokes and references, and trying desperately to be ultramodern (ipad swiping mind-mapping anyone?) Should I give it another try, has it had a return to form at any point...?

I'm still super skeptical about this game. I find it funny that people are picking apart combat, items, weapons etc., lets be honest combat was completely shit in ME1 but it was still an amazing game because of the story and atmosphere of it. Remember that original trailer that was just about tuning out a distress call because you had to prioritise something else instead? The highlight was on choices, cause and effect etc.. This game is being marketed like it's CoD in space or something.
