Anyone checked out Spectral? Pretty cool action movie with really nice special effects.
-
Yep, that worked.

Shame it's not going portable, I think I'd love to play Stardew Valley on Vita, can't see myself setting up to play it for an evening on the big TV though....

That's my kind of smart shopping

The new anime and manga thread! [Use Spoiler Tags!]

I felt the same about Korra and ultimately stopped watching, but I think it was meant to have gotten better towards the end? -
Are you basing that on anything? There's a lot of rumours, and an announcement due to be made today, but nothing has leaked afaik? Anyway I've been enjoying this game a lot more since I moved offices. I know a lot of people have stopped playing but I'm finally having fun with it. Squirtle spawns pretty regularly outside my office, got Charmander and a Pikachu from eggs recently, and my Dratini gradually generates candy on bus trips! Luckily my girlfriend was also late to the party as her old iPhone 4 couldn't play it, but her new SE can, so we're both taking minor detours following the new nearby feature for stuff!

No lets not get silly.

I would probably believe these were real!

I was just using 4G as a way of saying "mobile internet", I guess I don't understand the issue then. Is it not compatible with iPhone 4S, and you have a tablet you're hoping to play on but it's wifi only? If so, fair enough. However, bit unnecessary to group up people who have a phone better than an iPhone 4S as people who "upgrade just for something new and shiny", how about... people who want something that can actually support an up to date OS and modern games? :p Not to mention iOS 8 is rife with security vulnerabilities....
-
You know these days you can have 4G for like... £5/mo? Or do you live in the land that mobile providers forgot?

Best internet package for gaming and streaming?
Shorty replied to Eenuh's topic in General Chit Chat
Personally I will always avoid BT. Their customer service is just the worst. Example, you ring up to question some incorrect price increase on the bill and they assure you that it will be corrected next month. They hang up the phone and do nothing knowing it won't be their problem next time you call.... -
Really fantastic show. Unfortunately, someone passed on to me a theory about the story that they had read weeks ago, and it turned out to be right. They weren't intentionally spoiling it, but it was clearly unfolding that they were probably right so there was no surprise for me :/

I've also been with Virgin Media for years. If you don't mind the constant price increases, they're great. Uptime and speed all very good. Once you reach a certain level of service, like 30 meg up, you don't really question whether you can do x on two devices at once or whatever, you can pretty much do anything, it's just a case of how fast you want your up/down. You say you think you can get fibre, you need to just go on the website and put in the postcode to find out for sure. -
This was downloading really slowly last night so I've yet to have a go! Looks very interesting though.

And I enjoy a good single player experience too, I just find them all becoming kind of the same experience, now. Sure each one has its moments, but many of them rinse and repeat the same formula. The new Tomb Raider for example, was just a long string of physics puzzles and running away from things that were falling down. A little weirdness, atmosphere and music from Japanese studios tends to keep me interested a bit more. This is something I'm only discovering recently, as I was up until not long ago an avid fan of the standard blockbuster action adventure type. Or a certain depth in terms of suspension of reality, that'll do it, too. Probably why I'm enjoying Dishonored 2 much more than I did say, Deus Ex. Otherwise, I probably don't play enough to find myself relying on multiplayer groups that aren't there, there's always people on Overwatch and - in its hay day - there were about 10 of us on Destiny every single night. Those experiences are far more unique to me than most single player because the (forgive me for using this word) banter is always fresh and fun. That isn't to say I won't play anything else on that list, but nothing's jumping out at me right now.

I've lost a lot of interest in single player games lately. I feel like they don't have a lot of heart or joy in them and I often find the experience of playing them just quite... lonely? Right now I'm really only looking forward to Zelda and Persona 5. Other than those I'll keep playing Destiny and Overwatch with the N-E lot

Seems like a really fun project! I actually have a spare NES somewhere, I'm sure there's projects online that turn it into a retro arcade kinda thing. Could combine it with the raspberry pi I have somewhere...

Not that fussed myself but Let it Die is free, and I did like TLoU so probably that particular sequel... anything else I'll wait and see
-
Definitely, since it's now £109 more expensive!

Combat in the Witcher 3 is only good at high difficulties, where it feels more like 2. IMO, combat in 2 was something unique and awesome, every encounter was dangerous unless you planned ahead a little. In 3, there's a lot more hack-and-slash.

I don't have the headphones with play (unless you just mean pressing the middle for pause/play?). The CC thing works though, thanks @Eddage

It shows which stop the pokemon is near (with a pic of the actual stop behind them), and you can tap on them to track them. Working pretty well for me so far.
