  1. Cheers @Blade, I work near the city centre one though, I just tried to order one but my card was decline haha. I guess it looks suspicious charging the same amount to a different store.... Think I'm just gonna accept I'm getting it some time next week. Nintendo UK have been an absolute joke, I won't order anything from their online store ever again.
  2. I don't think I'm getting mine today. My tracking on NUK doesn't even indicate it's been received by Royal Mail. You made the right decision, @Serebii Tempted to change to Grey and pick one up at Argos.
  3. You could just return the shopto one to argos.
  4. Mine just dispatched and I got this from NUK
  5. Haha right there with you man, I thought I would at least have the game so I could stare longingly at it.
  6. Just rang my cc company and checked, the payment is queued and nothing is holding it up, so thats a relief! Just want that magical word to appear on NUK now.... Hmmm, nah :p Would rather never have the console than give GAME a penny.
  7. Someone in the UK claimed to get theirs on 'gaf. I joked this morning that I'd be refreshing "Awaiting Dispatch" all day today just like I refreshed "Awaiting Stock Pick" for the last two days. Turns out I was actually right though D:
  8. I said I was managing my expectations, stop filling me with optimism, you!
  9. I think it's time to manage my launch day delivery expectations Zelda didn't arrive today which is very unusual for Simply Games. If Royal Mail 1st class is taking 2 days to get me Zelda, there's no reason to think the same won't happen for the Switch (if it ever even dispatches). For now I may as well just hold out hope that it arrives Monday.
  10. It's the only way I'll be able to add people, I don't have friends or have interests in making friends with people in the other listed games/services. Admittedly I don't care about this particularly because I won't be using the device in this way, but it's still a joke. Whether or not there's a reason for it, DeNA or whatever, isn't really relevant. It shows more of that disconnect between themselves, and their competitors who have been doing it right for over a decade. That said, it's very early days. We're talking about before the system has even launched. You've only been able to register an ID on your Nintendo account for a matter of days. Maybe tying the two together will come in a software update very soon. Heck, maybe the user in the screenshot hasn't even linked the device to their account.
  11. Have you clicked on it? "Processing" is what it's said all along for me until you click for more detail.
  12. Yep and a solid choice for one too!
  13. I wish I'd pre-ordered with midnight launch from Smyths! I have such poor judgement sometimes >.>
  14. I haven't had any contact from my bank but haven't been charged... are you guys on "Awaiting Dispatch" @killthenet @Agent Gibbs ?
  15. It's said that all along @Dyson and I ordered minutes after it being available. Mine's just changed status this morning though, I'm fairly certain they will ship it by DPD soon. I might ask work if I can have a flexible lunch break tomorrow, basically take it as soon as the Switch arrives :p
  16. My NUK order is "Awaiting Dispatch". Kinda tempted to follow @Serebii's example and have one at midnight tonight instead though :p
  17. To be fair Nintendogs is a joke that taints an otherwise still fairly short list. It's true though. If you throw around your maximum score you undermine yourself. It's the individual publications' fault, not ours for pointing it out. Skyward Sword's 10 in Edge is a perfect representation of this. They were really claiming it was better than Majora's Mask, and now they're saying BotW is only as good as it? Kinda shooting themselves in the foot.
  18. Only if you opened with that presumptuous flamebait of a first sentence would you get any trouble with that in the Switch thread.
  19. I think "indept" was meant to be "in-depth" as opposed to "inept" :p
  20. I'm pretty sure that's not true, there's been plenty of chatter about eshop accounts and you can just make a UK account.
  21. Just got a text, dispatched from Simply Games! Coincidentally, it's also the reason I no longer put any stock in a Famitsu 40/40.
  22. Who is angry? If you had one on pre-order you'd probably be in here with the rest of us hyping over when it's going to be delivered. I don't understand peoples need to come in here and judge us just because we're excited/anxious. This is N-Europe, we're waiting for the next Nintendo system to arrive. What should get us more excitable than this??
  23. Haha, it's just exciting to me! The only way I'll start to feel anxious is if it looks like it's arriving Saturday... cos then it wouldn't be in my hands til Monday D:
  24. Instead of cancelling, keep it and resell it, or return it? Did you see the gaf post saying that a controller ordered from NUK yesterday has a scheduled delivery for today at 3pm?
  25. ^ I would really see it as the Bethesda style, not the Ubisoft style. And I would agree with those "many people" anyway. Why do so many people insist in being a pain in the butt with technicalities?? In modern gaming, you know what open world means. You just do. It means a large, sprawling overworld which does not just have a fixed set of exit points that lead to a short list of destinations that you have to visit, roughly in order (like OoT), but rather lots of events, sub-objectives, places you didn't know were there before you explored. You can look to the distance and then visit that place, it's not just walled off by a tree-wall or whatever. Whilst Zelda 1 may have fit this archetype, it was built long ago under technical limitations that made said map ultimately very small and obviously two dimensional. It was a relatively "free roaming" approach to gameplay but it didn't meet the modern representation of a "world", never mind an open one. If anything, I would say the closest we came to an open world Zelda was Wind Waker.
