I can't speak for those two apps, but Fire Emblem Heroes (a game that sees frequent updates and support) has improved its own battery drain ever since launch. I don't know if it's the same developers behind the other apps, though. And if the people behind this netspeak app are the same as behind Pokémon Go, that certainly doesn't bode well. If you're responding to someone in particular, respond to their arguments and counter-argue. Sneaking in an inflammatory remark is not clever, pleasant, thoughtful or needed, especially if you're not actually making any attempt to debunk the original argument. This thread is engaging in a substantial discussion, pointing out the multiple flaws in the app, the potential reasons behind them, whatever silver linings there might be, and how likely is it that it can be improved. Let's keep it that way instead of resorting to ad hominem, alright?

Christ I had forgotten how tricky online dating is. Good luck to you both! I know people go on about how its easier for women, but sometimes I think people need to remember "Stunningly attractive women" because fuck knows I never found it easy. Whoops, there goes my tiny rant. Anyway gushy stuff ahead, be warned singletons!

Not to shit on anything you said as I know first hand what it's like to go through something like that. I had to wait the best part of 4 years before I could get throat surgery and unfortunately i couldn't afford to go private and there were very few surgeons who able to carry out what I needed. Anywayyyy, I still am very grateful to the NHS for everything they did for me, certainly wasn't an ideal amount of time to wait but I didn't really have any alternative.

Mighty Gunvolt is a very short, simple and challenging game intended as a companion to Azure Striker Gunvolt. I'll be quite honest, I couldn't get very far at the time, but re-downloaded it the other day (after playing Mighty Gunvolt Burst) and enjoyed it more. I also forgot/didn't realise Beck was in it, as I mainly played as Gunvolt, so I apologise to IntiCreates about getting that fact wrong (I said his debut was Mighty No. 9). Anyway, I truly believe it was intended as a freebie to those who bought Azure Striker Gunvolt rather than a game in its own right. I don't think £3.19 is great value, although of course it's not a lot of money. Mighty Gunvolt Burst, on the other hand, is very good value. It's much longer than Mighty Gunvolt, with loads of replayability as it encourages you to perfect levels, plus there are lots of hidden upgrades. As I understand it, it uses the bosses from Mighty No. 9, but I haven't played that. I genuinely think most gamers would enjoy Mighty Gunvolt Burst, with it being a particular dream for Mega Man fans. PS - Mighty Gunvolt Burst is on both Switch and 3DS.

Another trailer for Thor: Ragnarok is expected to drop in the early hours of the morning (at least on this side of the Atlantic puddle), as is a "first official" trailer for Black Panther. An update on the state of Brie Larson's take on Captain Marvel could also be on the cards, albeit likely only in the form of some concept art and some other tidbits. I understand there was a previous game called "Mighty Gunvolt". Would you recommend starting with that one, or would either one do? More pertinently, is "Mighty Gunvolt Burst" a sequel or an updated re-release? I still have a backlog, but I'm sure to pick up one of the two whenever there's a sale. When Inafune hits it, he hits it. Thanks for bringing these games to my attention

Wouldn't surprise me, to be honest But I seriously hope for everyone who bought the game that this is not the only way...

Is there a way to change your loadout in between games without backing out of the lobby? I can't seem to find one, bit of a miss if there isn't.

Played That's You! with a mate and his girlfriend yesterday. It was very fun Even with only three players we had a great time. Should be even better with more.

So I said in the other thread I still think this is going to be the The Avengers of the Netflix series.. And this trailer reinforces that. I'm hyped! There's also a Punisher trailer, but I don't know if that's online yet. Iron fist season 2 confirmed.

I'm officially part of the problem. As much as Nintendo's approach to online has disappointed me, I have caved and purchased this.

Hmm @Shorty how about we charge everyone $300 a year to host their images on N-E?

I've had it from time to time to but a refresh usually does it. I know it doesn't sound like much of an answer (if any at all), but think it might be a software issue rather than anything we can fix.

I've started using Imgur. According to their terms of service, you're not allowed to hotlink images, but everyone else seems to do it, so...

I wish I didn't like amiibo so much The sculpts and paint jobs are so good though! These all arrived today. Much prefer the use of clear plastic as supports rather than the horrible colours they used to use.

Dude, Agents of SHIELD gets so good. Season 4 is one of the best seasons of superhero shows ever to exist

Couldn't stand hearing all the mad hype for Battlegrounds and not giving it a try so I'm going to give it a go tonight soon as it downloads. I feel like it'd be much more fun playing as a squad though. If anyone wants to team up, my Steam id is Audioserf

You don't know that for certain. It's just as likely to be an intentional choice as it is something they can't get working.

Yesterday, I completed my first SNES game: Super Metroid. I loved it. I really enjoyed getting equipment and upgrades at unexpected times - like one time I was trying to find a reverse tank (you can enter the other side of the room its on with no way through) and stumbled upon the Gravity Suit. I am surprised that it's not quite as challenging as I expected (it's probably harder earlier on) but it's still awesome.

It doesn't have voice chat. You have to use an external app, which as far as I can see puts it in the same box as using Skype.

Well, I always felt that Nintendo going mobile was a mistake. Sarky remark aside, if this eventually gets Ninty to buck up their ideas and make some kind of voice chat functionality on the actual Switch itself, then I'm all for this app going down the toilet.

I still can't get used to that new fangled name for N64-Europe. Why do we need more bits than 64?
