ShadowV7 Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 It's made me hungry talking about food,but last time I tried beans I just oculdn't eat them,just don't like them.
Blackfox Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 is this thread making anyone else hungry? As I said to Jimbo before, I feel like some beans on toast. However, I'm far too lazt to make some.
Meik Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Branston Beans are the way forward. Superior in every way. This is coming from someone who grew up on Heinz baked beans.
Mokong Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Yeah i'd love some beans on toast right now, but the lateness has made me too lazy. How do you eat yours? I love mine with two slices of toast, with loads of butter, then i lay a slice of cheese on top of each toast, then pour the heated beans over, then add some grated cheese on top with some pepper and salt. Damn i just made myself even hungrier(sp?), i'm starting to drool
ShadowV7 Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 no beans!peas all the way!(he's crazy!) I don't like peas either ¬.¬
ViPeR Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Branston Beans are the way forward. Superior in every way. This is coming from someone who grew up on Heinz baked beans. Couldn't agree more. Heinz has turned into a juice laden, watered down, pansy ass version of itself.
EEVILMURRAY Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 I concur too, Branston does have an edge over Heinz, it just seems too liquidy now.
weeyellowbloke Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Heinz all the way baby. Mainly stuck on toast and if I'm feeling all crazy and continental I'll go throw some mixed herbs in with them.
Platty Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Personally i like those Branston baked beans... dunno they just seem to be nicer
Guest Jordan Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Exactly Fatrox! Spaghetti hoops on toast is often my quick dinner of choice.
AshMat Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Im with spaggetti on toast, (doesnt have to be loops, jsut tinned spaggetti, in tomato sauce)
Blackfox Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Had beans on toast for brekkie. Sainsbury's Own with Branston Brown Sauce. Wonderbar.
Mokong Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 I woke up this morning and still had this thread in my head that instead of making myself my traditional weekend full Irish fry-up i decided to have beans on toast, but to my shock when i went for the beans i discovered my mother had bought Bachelors instead of Heinz, i still ate them and it was good, but if it was Heinz would have been better
demonmike04 Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 =D Knew Branston beans would get other votes in here.
The3rdChildren Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Baked beans are disgusting. The way to go is Spaghetti Hoops. Or if you're feeling especially mature some Alphabetti.
Cubechris Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Just took myself shopping and got some Branstons, time to put you to the test. Watch out Heinz..
soag Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 First of all heinz tomato ketchup > all other sauces. As for baked beans heinz is the daddy of them all, but i love all baked beans. I eat baked beans pretty much everyday. Love them I do
triforcemario Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 I just love Baked beans (doesn't matter, as long as the beans don't taste like sawdust, as most spanish ones do) on toast with a load of cheese melted on top of it. YUMMYNESS!
EEVILMURRAY Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 How about we spice things up here with some Ravioli?
triforcemario Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 YUM! RAVIOLI! Its so tasty, with all that meat packed into it... wait, thats got nothing to do with Baked Beans.
david.dakota Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Bizarre... Anyway, we've discovered the delights of Branston Beans, so my votes with Branston. Cheesy beans are best mind you, grate a little cheese into your beans. Sauces are more difficult - HP brown sauce with bacon and Heinz tomato ketchup on most thinks. Has anyone every tried the pikey beans from Aldi, neto or Lidl? I've not once stepped into one of the above shops (against my constitution). Just wondering if these beans are as horrendous as I'd expect!
Fierce_LiNk Posted August 13, 2006 Author Posted August 13, 2006 All this love for branston beans brings a tear to Flinkymon's eye. Where is the love for heinz, people? Society has gone mad.
