He has shoes for the same reason he has hands instead of paws. I really like the new Fox design. He looked good in Melee too but I feel he looks a bit more badass now. He has a lense thingy that looks like a monicle from the side, so he's come into some money and brought a stately home (I guess the monicle came with the house).
