CooInTheZoo Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 ...when you feel down? what cheers the RE users up the most after a shit day?
Bluejay Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Watching Simpsons episodes always cheers me up on Sunday afternoons, although I'm rarely miserable or down.
gj15987 Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 I write poetry or cut myself....lol, emoness over, not really (no offence to any emos) :p Play guitar and sing. Great to strum along and sing something at the top of your lungs. Or play some metal baby! lol, get that frustration out. Or if its too late to do that there's always the option of listening to music, or seeing my amazing girlfriend. Or play GC of course Shoot some zombies or something lol.
Sarka Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Listen to the soulchild remix of 19/2000... best cheer up thing ever! Meh, I never seem to get overly sad, and if I do depressing music that I can sing along to is the best thing for me.
Babooo Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 I tend not too get that upset that I gotta cheer myself up. But if I am a little sad for whatever reason, I just listen to some slow, depressing music, something like coldplay and sing along to it.
Blackfox Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Something to take my mind of being down. TV or music usually work well.
Fierce_LiNk Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Watching some Father Ted will usually do it for me. Friends and girlfriend also tend to do the trick. But, nothing beats good ol' comedy.
Jack Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Porn This. You're never alone with a 22 gig collection of art videos.
bob Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Art videos eh? Is that what the kids are calling it nowadays...
Monopolyman Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Nothing really, apart from possibly listening to some upbeat music; but usually I just wallow in my own misery. Well, aswell as trying to trick/think myself into thinking things arn't so bad.
CooInTheZoo Posted March 31, 2006 Author Posted March 31, 2006 Try and solve what's getting you down. i was diagnosed (if you can be) with being stressed today... i had a breakup AND im not feeling very well, so i just wanted to see what you lot do when your reaching for the pointy objects
Calibur Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 yeah music, movies, nintendo they all work great for me
Flaight Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Hmm. What cheers me up when everything is crap? Many things, depends on ... dont know. It just depends Depends on feelings. Sometimes alcohol. sometimes gaming. sometimes watching My Family on UKTV Gold. Oh and more recently listening to Hello Project music! My new found relaxation technique.
Dan_Dare Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Listien to Goldfrapp. all negative feelings are washed away in a wave of synthetic beauty:)
The3rdChildren Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Deal with it. Unfortunately there isn't much -else- you can do when you're feeling low. Laughter helps a lot, though.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 I go hide in the closet. After a while I give up. Then I resort to thinking everything is gonna be fine, you are just feeling bad because you think the opposite. Yeah thats gotta be it! Yay, no more dark clouds for me! Weee!
Guest Stefkov Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 i dont do much. i just sit down and relax, reading posts up in forums, here, etc. listen to hot hot heat, however im rarely feeling down. or i take out my feelings onsom people in americas army, even if i do get killed myself.
Nintendork Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Nintendo, Chocolate.. Masturbating, Cups of Tea, I dunno.. Finding something new to listen to by listening to the 100+ radio stations available on the TV.
Konfucius Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 System of a Down or something similar normally helps, playing ego-shooters or doing something constructive like learning 3D modelling. But most effective is to talk, not necessarily about your sadness but general things.
Ashley Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Veronica Mars, Scrubs, Photoshop, friends (the people not the program (not that it doesn't not cheer me up but you know)), lounging about, upbeat, fun or silly music (eg McFly - yes they're crap, but good feel good music). Oh or Mean Girls, good feel good film.
