Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!

The presentation still looks good overall and I am fine with how these games look, for being what they are but I just hope that next years game will take on a more interesting graphical style.

Maybe taking inspiration from Black & White but more realistic, with some elements from Sun & Moon but with a more realistic/retro approach.

Basically, I want the next Pokémon game on the Switch to be up there with Octopath Traveller in terms of a style with works really well for their next mainline game.

This will still do nicely for now though and I do get the feeling that I may warm to the game more when it releases... right now it's just kind of coming out in November and I'm not really that excited yet. ::shrug:

Super Smash Bros Ultimate comes out in December and I'm heavily hyped for that already. :D

Genuinely surprised to see complaints about the graphics! :o I think they’re absolutely fantastic. On the simple side, sure, but everything is so smooth (models seem really high poly actually) and the overall image quality is lovely.

Are you talking about the Pokémon? Because they've been that high poly since the 3DS. Same models, just on a console that can actually handle them now.

Indeed, and at a resolution that actually does them justice. :hehe:

What'sthe difference between the two charizards, and how do you get each evolution? I'm slowly getting warmed up for this game, really starting to like the look of it. Might be a buy for me.

Did someone call a nerd?

Mega Charizard X is the edgy black one. It's Fire/Dragon and specialises in Physical attacks. It's ability powers up moves that make direct contact. (Scratch and the like)

Mega Charizard Y is the not edgy orange one. It's Fire/Flying and specialises in Special attacks. It's ability summons strong sunlight when it comes into battle.

X is for show-offs, Y is for people who want Charizard to actually be good.

Pre-ordered Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu with Pokeball Plus in-store at Smyths yesterday. Decided I should be more proactive in supporting a great local toy/games shop.

It's a great place to pick up Pokémon figures too, these are some of the latest ones
