So, my first year with Wii U. Wind Waker was a joy. Shovel Knight was good, but I think I enjoyed Super Ghouls & Ghosts the most! Metroid Fusion was an abandoned speed run. The rest of the list is just tinkering about when I got the sudden urge for some SNES games. I enjoyed most of these games apart from Contra III (too hard) and Mario Kart 8 - I'm not saying the latter is a bad entry; I just don't play the series (it was free).

The bottom three weren't really worth bothering with. The top three I obviously spent a lot of time on, but became disillusioned with Bravely Default and Fantasy Life after a while. Etrian Odyssey was genuinely enjoyable until the very last boss.

 

To be honest, I had a very strange year. There's a lot more I need to get out of the Wii U. As for the 3DS, I just don't think it was a very good year as we missed out on Shantae 3 and no one got Dragon Quest VII.

Where the 'this month/week/etc' is, if you tap next to it on the calendar icon it goes into the higher(day, week, month, year) and then a view as list sorts you right out once you're on the year. Not sure if it's the same on WiiU though I'm assuming so for when I go downstairs...eventually(TV bed and wine is fine). Tapping the '1' on a calendar shrinks it back. You wanna be doing all this in 'daily records' too.

Unfortunately there's not an easier way, because god forbid the Wii U having the same level of functionality as its handheld counterpart. I mean obviously home consoles just aren't ready for that level of customisation.

For games released this year, it's not too bad. You just click on the game in any month and it'll give you the total amount played ever, which will be for the whole year if it was released this year.

 

For something like Injustice, I had to add up the times separately. Tbh, I knew my list wasn't that long, so I didn't mind doing it.
