bob
I play about an hour once every two to three days. So.....20 mins per day? Not very much - it takes ages to play through any game (i'm still playing AC4, which i got for Xmas) but it's all the free time i get.
Blade
I would say for me on average 3 hours a day. I only game in my complete spare time ie when I have literally no plans whatsoever.
Ashley
Unless I'm reviewing something, I'm lucky to squeeze in about three hours over the weekend nowadays. (That's what she said) Edited March 26, 2014 by Ashley
Goafer
I don't get much time nowadays. Maybe an hour or two in an evening, maybe once or twice a week. I get more time at weekends. That does mean games last me for ages though. I have just completed AC4 after having it for a month or two. Still got Saints Row 4, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Custom Robo, Phantasy Star Online, Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time to play. Should last me forever at this rate. S.C.G
Today because it's my day off I've probably played about 10 hours... ...on a day when I'm working usually I'll play for an hour or so but often I just won't bother if I'm too tired. So I probably average about 20 hours a week but then I only work part time and I'm well aware that I could be doing other things instead, I'll be learning to drive again at some point soon this year, that will keep my occupied but I'll still manage to keep gaming, quite honestly it's one of the few things which keeps me going in my otherwise rather standard existence. I'm proud to be a gamer! : peace:
Hero-of-Time
I usually only get to put a 3-4 hours a day into gaming as I work full time and even less if I go to the flicks, feel knackered or there is a footy match on. On a weekend though I usually go on a gaming binge. I can get up at 6-7am and still be sitting there 6-7pm easily, especially if i'm really engrossed in the game. 14 hour stints on a Saturday are pretty common for me. Like S.C.G, gaming is my main hobby. It always has been and I imagine it always will be.
Blue Rogue
On my work days (Which lately has been pretty much everyday) I tend not to do much if any gaming. I start work at 9 and go off on my split by 3. It takes me roughly 20 minutes to get home. I'll have to be back by 5 or 6 when I'll work through till 11ish. When I game I like to sit down for at least a couple of hours. So I leave it for when I have a morning off. If it's a big RPG or something I prefer to marathon it on a full day off. I wanted to play a bit of FFX HD today but I've got to clean up this flat and do all my shopping etc. Living alone has it's perks but also means I can't delegate some household tasks to anyone. Basically I'm whining about my lack of free time instead of using said precious free time to do something more fun or productive. Meh the laundry can wait. Shorty
I tend to play ever day. At least an hour or two after work. On Saturday I pretty much just played Dark Souls 2 all day. I love gaming. Heck, I've installed Steam on my work PC and play Torchlight 2 with my workmates.
Falcon_BlizZACK
It kind of sad seeing life sideline our gaming passion... I can remember playing C&C 3 online for over 24 hours in one sitting, perched in my nest of a bedroom, single and able to just have King_V time whenever I like. Now, after work and Taekwondo/gym during the week, Im home for about 9pm average, then on top of that I try to spend 45 mins working on some design work to build up my portfolio, and try to watch an episode of one of our series with my partner... Then I want to sleep at 11 to get a healthy 7 hours kip... I kind of wanted to make this thread because a lot of people were calling for 'moahh' games, especially on the Wii U front, but want to see how much the average N-E player has to play anyway. Looking at the norm, we seem mostly to have backlogs piling up.
Grazza
The truth is, I'm completely unbalanced with my gaming. I can go weeks without playing a game at all. However, when I'm addicted to one I play at least 3 hours a day, or anything up to 6 (which I think is too much). Basically, work and gym are my priorities, then I game later on in the day. If it is one of those days where I'm playing too much, I'm afraid I just get a bit less sleep than I should. But yeah, I've got a backlog. There are definitely enough games for me. Fierce_LiNk
I'm a teacher, so my life consists of the following: Work, coming home and working out, then doing some more work. I try to sneak some gaming in on Sundays. Usually around midday. It's a pain trying to fit everything in. Work, travelling to and from places, exercise, eating healthily, work for school (am crai), watching the football. That's not including the times when I meet up with people, although I tend to go into hibernation until the end of term/half term. I reckon about 2 hours a week on average. Maybe more towards the end of term. Played loads of Xenoblade last week, so about 6.
Helmsly
A couple of hours a day unless I have a new game, which I'll normally play for around 4 hours a day until i'm bored of it. Back when I first got Left 4 dead 2 though, I couldn't stop playing that game, sometimes for 8 hours a day. Mario Kart Wii also had similar hours of playtime. Agent Gibbs
it varies wildly console gaming i'm lucky if i can get the TV to myself for 4 hours a week for gaming The WiiU/Hanheld and PC/Laptop gaming fill most of my time as the mrs can watch TV as i use one of those while its on, so i can do 1/2 hours a night on those wildly different to when i was younger and living with my parents where it was most of my time i miss it
ChloboShoka
About a few hours a day. I mainly play on my handhelds more than my consol cause I like spending a lot of time out when I'm not at work.
Jimbob
Nowhere near as much as i used to. It's lucky i've got handheld consoles, otherwise i'd be lucky to get any gaming in at all. I travel to and from work, probably an hour a day twice a week. In the evenings, maybe if i'm not tired or stressed from the day i maybe have another hour. Weekends and days off is where it is all at, can spend a few hours on each day off playing games.

Looking at the norm, we seem mostly to have backlogs piling up. I was just thinking to myself 'I haven't got much time for games, I'm just too busy' - but really that isn't the case. I MADE myself busy, and got used to that being my life, that I don't game because I'm opting to do other things instead - foruming, facebooking, internetting; these take up a lot of what used to be my gaming time. I then spend the rest of my time usually socialising(often filled with tabletop gaming), though due to serious monetary issues this may be changing up soon, and I'm thinking maybe I'll have more time that I'll actually dedicate to gaming in its place. I've definitely got a backlog piling/piled up - but I still want 'moahhh' games from the Wii U - games that make me want to play the console. My heaviest gaming recently was probably SRIV; bought it and sunk many evenings into it. Slowly fallen off and need to get back on it, but that was a game that I got for £12 yet it made me feel compelled to actually play it. So I guess that's what I really want - something to hook me back in. Something to make me a video gamer again. I think really a big part of my video gaming focus shifted into table top gaming(because socialising is getting harder too, to get everyone in the same place at once, so that kills a few birds with one stone). Londragon
I work in the evenings, normally from 3pm to 9pm, but varies by day. That leaves my mornings free, and apart from food shopping, watching TV, movies, and swimming, I play VG's (WiiU and 3DS). So, I spend between 1-4 hours a day (on average I'd say 2 hours a day). Due to having a child, I don't play over the weekend, as I'd prefer him to be doing things of a more athletic nature, but we sometimes sit down to a session of Mario 3D World. No more than 1 1/2 hours over the weekend. In total about 12 hours a week. It takes me an age to finish any game, but that just means I appreciate them for longer. Rummy
If you had more games, would you make more time for them? If it was a game that compelled me - probably. I've found, probably due to abundancy of tech and entertainment these days, that my attention span is quite easily short, so having a game is one thing - it keeping my attention is another. That is why online/multiplayer is so important - if I'm playing with company I'm getting my social fix at the same time and it keeps me hooked. My playtime on Reach and Halo 4 is probably over 100 hours each - I haven't even done the campaigns. That's taking it onto another topic, though. Goron_3
Only 2-3 hours a week for me, but sometimes it's more depending on how much Uni work I have. Although I graduate in July and I'll be gaming 5-6 hours a day then
