WackerJr Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 At first I was quite excited, as I was planning on buying Stranded Deep, although admittedly besides a couple of reviews I hadn’t read up much about it. Going by the comments from @Ganepark32 and @Tales though, I’m going to lower my expectations (a LOT!).
drahkon Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Wreckfest is up for grabs. Downloading now, looking forward to testing it later today. I'm in the mood for some vehicular destruction
drahkon Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Wreckfest is good fun Already got some grindy trophies out of the way, but the one online-trophy I probably need a friend to boost (which apparently is a matter of 10-15 minutes). Can't be arsed to try and get 20 wins Anyways, the destruction is indeed very fun, as is the actual racing part of the game. Not bad, not bad.
drahkon Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Wreckfest Platinum trophy get. Enjoyed my time with it, even though it dragged quite a bit at the end. 1
Hero-of-Time Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 The people that leaked last months games lineup have stated that these are on the way for June... Star Wars Squadrons Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown Operation Tango 1
drahkon Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Hm, first meh month for me in a while. Operation Tango looks like some good co-op fun, though. Hope the rumour is true for that one.

Goafer Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Ooh, Star Wars is one that I've thought about buying for a while. Good news if it's true.
Julius Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 Well there it is: I held off on A Plague Tale the last few months after word for around that it was coming. Other games I'll gladly pass on
Goafer Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 (edited) I was pleasantly surprised by A Plague Tale when I gave it a go on Game Pass. I got burned out on it pretty quick, as the gameplay felt a bit repetitive and not particularly enjoyable, but the setting and story were great. It'll be good to have it back in my library after not renewing Game Pass. It's a shame I'll have to start it again, but good to have access to it should I want to revisit it. Aneres11 Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 Nice. I don’t have Plus currently and don’t plan on having it unless a game comes up on the store that’s cheaper with it which I want. With this being in my GP library I won’t get it on here, but great to see it as a freebie for plus members!
Will Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 I’m ashamed to admit I’m most looking forward to WWE Battlegrounds. 1

Been in the mood to play a good tennis game lately. It's the only game this month I'm interested in checking out.. and I have! I played through the basic training (It's a bit irritating the way it is broken up with having to go back to the menu for each tutorial ) and had a set in an exhibition as Federer against Monfils. The game, and it's predecessor, has a bad reputation but it actually seems fine. Maybe the cracks will be more apparent the more I play but I can definitely see the Top Spin DNA in there and I'm intrigued to dive in a little deeper as a more 'realistic' alternative to Mario Tennis Aces! 1
Goafer Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Not bad IMO. Been wanting to replay KoA/check out the remaster, so that saves me having to buy it. Plus, some extra PSVR games, so that's nice too. I mean, I won't be re-setting my PSVR up any time soon, but still nice to have. 2
Sheikah Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Yeah, I wouldn't mind checking out KoA. Not a bad month at all.
lostmario Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Did anyone download and play PGA Tour 2K21? I nearly have the platinum trophy but one of the two remaining trophies I need to get is creating a private room and completing a round? HELP!

I don't mind lending a hand, can start downloading it now. Will warn you I haven't played the game before though, so not sure if that would stretch out the time it takes to complete a round? How long does a round normally take?
lostmario Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 @Julius That would be much appreciated. A round will take about 30 minutes with 2 people. Change your difficulty to beginner and it’ll be a lot more enjoyable for you. Add me if we aren’t already friends on PSN.

Cool I finish work at 15:30 if you want to jump on then, if not I'll be free later in the evening too, just got to head out for a bit at 17:00. Let me know what works for you
Julius Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 The games of December: People have (rightly, in my opinion) been kicking up a fuss over Godfall's Challenger Edition, which seems to cut out the real meat of the full game. From PushSquare: Quote Godfall is one of December's PlayStation Plus games, except it technically isn't. The Godfall that you get to download with your PS Plus subscription on the 7th December is a new version called Godfall: Challenger Edition, which is designed to get you straight into the title's endgame content. "Godfall: Challenger Edition allows new players to experience the game's trio of endgame modes, minus the story content of the base game and Fire & Darkness expansions, and grants existing players new exciting features and rewards to enjoy," writes developer Counterplay Games on the PlayStation Blog. So, if you're totally new to Godfall, you're going to be skipping the main story content of the base game — along with all of the character-building grind. It's a bit of a weird deal, but we suppose it makes some sense when you just want to throw players into the "good" stuff. You'll be able to upgrade from the Challenger Edition to the Deluxe Edition of Godfall, but no pricing has been detailed yet. We've seen some bizarre decisions over the last 12 months with these PS+ titles, but I think this takes the cake for the weirdest.
drahkon Posted December 2, 2021 Posted December 2, 2021 (edited) 9 hours ago, Julius said: which seems to cut out the real meat of the full game Quite the opposite, really. Apparently the campaign is horrible and the endgame is where it's at. Given the game's genre, this doesn't surprise as the endgame is usually the "true game" when it comes to looters. I can understand the decision, since the campaign has been reviewed poorly. However, I'm not too fond of the decision to only include a part of the game. Then again, I'm not particularly interested in Godfall either way. It's a weird decision but probably not a bad one. What's worse: Asia gets Judgement in addition to the other games...
