Platty Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Tea is something I have throughout the day. In a cup. With milk. It is not dinner. :p
ReZourceman Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Other ways are stupid.
Fierce_LiNk Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Breakfast. Dinner. Tea. Suck it, bitches. What did you call dinner ladies at your school? Lunch ladies?

Sheikah Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Well, at least we're all agreed that lunch is eaten at the middle of the day. :p
Fierce_LiNk Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Well, at least we're all agreed that lunch is eaten at the middle of the day. :p No, we're not because it doesn't exist.
Magnus Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Calling lunch 'dinner' is like calling the color blue 'green'.
Fierce_LiNk Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Calling lunch 'dinner' is like calling the color blue 'green'. What about calling color "colour"?
MoogleViper Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Breakfast.Dinner. Tea. What happened to you, man? You used to be cool.
Magnus Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 This is what some people in this thread sound like: I call birds 'birds', cats 'dogs' and dogs 'shoe'.
bob Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I agree this whole thread is ridiculous. Whose idea was it?
Rummy Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Breakfast.Dinner. Tea. Suck it, bitches. What did you call dinner ladies at your school? Lunch ladies? Ok, you win on the dinner ladies front. HOWEVER; They were rocking out on LUNCHTIME not DINNERTIME. Boom.
Mandalore Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Isn't it traditionally Breakfast/Dinner/Tea in Britain? And Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner Americanisation of our language? Or maybe I'm talking a load of rubbish.
EEVILMURRAY Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I have never heard anyone call lunch dinner before seeing this topic. Dinner has always just been a fancy way of saying tea for me. Same. Timeline aside. I sometimes consider the first thing I eat to be my breakfast, which could be a cheese sandwich at 1:45pm, in time for Neighbours. But should they be put in order: Breakfast Lunch Tea/Dinner (Or indeed Brinner) Supper, which is what I normally equate to something like having cheese and bread (see Michael Caine in Muppet's Christmas Carol)
Mr-Paul Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Well, at least we're all agreed that lunch is eaten at the middle of the day. :p Some people are claiming LUNCH DOESN'T EXIST. At least we all agree the first meal of the day is breakfast. Of course, we shouldn't forget about brunch and elevenses either :p

Mr-Paul Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Could be a midnight snack, on the correct side. FIRST MEAL AFTER WAKING UP THEN! God, you guys are so picky.
EEVILMURRAY Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 FIRST MEAL AFTER WAKING UP THEN! God, you guys are so picky. I thought a midnight snack would involve waking up ¬_¬
Mr-Paul Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I was judging a midnight snack as something to eat before going to bed. But if you are classifying it as waking up in the middle of sleeping to get something to eat, can you really classify such a snack as a meal???
EEVILMURRAY Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Depends, it could be a bowl of Frosties or something.
MoogleViper Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Depends, it could be a bowl of Frosties or something. Well then it would still be breakfast, albeit at a stupid time, as you would be breaking the fast from sleeping.
EEVILMURRAY Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Well then it would still be breakfast, albeit at a stupid time, as you would be breaking the fast from sleeping. Exactly. .
Dog-amoto Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 What did you call dinner ladies at your school? Lunch ladies?
Charlie Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 According to Wikipedia, Dinner is the main meal of the day, which was originally the first meal of the day, taken at noon. What the fuck, Wiki? Obviously, someone here has been going on and changing it just waiting for an unsuspecting member to go along and then confirm his ideas.
