Murr Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 http://www.amazon.com/Hitman-Trilogy...man+trilogy+hd http://www.amazon.com/Hitman-Trilogy.../dp/B00AA4FDT4 Released in USA on 29th January, Here's hoping a UK version is on the cards.
Jimbob Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Hopefully, wouldn't mind playing Hitman 2 again.
Magnus Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 It's annoying how they keep re-releasing the series, but always skip the first game because it was only released on the PC. Not that it's the best game in the series or anything, but still. Calling it a trilogy feels a bit like releasing a Star Wars Trilogy with Episodes 2-4. It'll be worth getting for anyone who missed out on Blood Money, at least. Contracts is also pretty good. And I guess anyone who enjoyed Absolution might enjoy the awful Silent Assassin with its useless disguises and lack of save points. :p
Cube Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I want to play those games. After what Absolution did to the series, it would be nice returning to the freedom of Hitman 2 (which has useful disguises - as long as you didn't move out of the area the original person is supposed to be in - and save points based on difficulty). It would be nice if they fixed bugs, but I doubt it.
Dcubed Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Why the bloody hell does this not include the first game? And why isn't it slated for Wii U either? (Would love to be able to play these in bed!)
Cube Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Why the bloody hell does this not include the first game? And why isn't it slated for Wii U either? (Would love to be able to play these in bed!) Answer to both: The amount of work it takes to port games to a new system.
Magnus Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I think they should just re-release Blood Money. The rest of the games aren't really worth playing again after that game, anyway. They could call it the Hitman Ultimate Collection.
bryanee Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Well congrats to what ever fan won a contest to have his shit fanart on the cover, jesus.
Dcubed Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Answer to both: The amount of work it takes to port games to a new system. But they have to port all the other games to a new system anyway! They always ignore the first game when it comes to series re-releases. It's just like HOTD1
jayseven Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Goddamn all these trilogies that I gotta get now! Awesome! ... Though I did suck at hitman in the past. Perhaps my older, more stealth-inclined self will do better. Splinter Cell trilogy (quadrilogy?) too, please.
Magnus Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Splinter Cell trilogy (quadrilogy?) too' date=' please.[/quote']That's already been released on the PS3. Another reason to get one, Jay! It only includes the first three games, but Double Agent was by far the worst of the stealthy Splinter Cell games, so who cares.
gaggle64 Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 So are they all on the same disk or do I get a pair of Hitman themed coasters with my Hitman 2?
jayseven Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I think I got Double Agent for $5 (£3.50ish - I know that's not your currency, Magnus, sorry :P) and had to stop playing after 5 mins because it was hurting my eyes. It's approaching next-gen season so I'll wait and see about that sort of thing!
EEVILMURRAY Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 If it had the original I might consider it. But I already have Contracts and Blood Money on my PC and have Silent Assassin on the Gamecube, it's simply not worth the purchase.
Jonnas Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Isn't Hitman:Contracts supposed to be a retelling of the first game, because the first one was so bad? (Genuine question, here. This is the sort of thing I only heard in passing)
Cube Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Isn't Hitman:Contracts supposed to be a retelling of the first game, because the first one was so bad? It has a couple of missions from the first game, but isn't a retelling. I keep thinking I need this HD collection, when I already have all three on PC (and, thus, in HD).
Shorty Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 (edited) That artwork is awful... a video game cover should not look like a comic book. Edited January 29, 2013 by Shorty
