Shorty Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 That's a stunning cover. Alas, I grabbed that from google images as the order winged it's way to me, but on arrival, this was the offering (still good, but less adventurous) Actually that image is wrong, mine has that cover but the orange booklet. Wonder if it was done wrong.
The Peeps Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Looks more like Ben 10. lol one of my friends said that. I'm rising above it. It's awesome.
Kurtle Squad Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 "...one man's journey to Kappaland becomes the vehicle for a critique of Japanese life and customs in the tradition of Swift and Kafka. A perfectly formed gem from the pen of one of Japan s most important modern writers, Kappa is at once a fable, a comedy and a brilliant satire."
Shorty Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Lol. Retro, but with a new colour because getting the black one (while being the only actually retro option) would still make you look like a dweeb. Cool.
Will Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I admit they are a little bit hipster. I loved the black one as a kid though, when they rereleased them in colours I had to have them!
EddieColeslaw Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 "...one man's journey to Kappaland becomes the vehicle for a critique of Japanese life and customs in the tradition of Swift and Kafka. A perfectly formed gem from the pen of one of Japan s most important modern writers, Kappa is at once a fable, a comedy and a brilliant satire." Oh my god. I want this book! Because there's a KAPPA on the cover!! We used to make a joke about my sister's Chinese name, it sounds like "kappa" in Chinese if you lower the tone of the first character a bit!
Dyson Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 (edited) Thought I'd try something a bit different. The only anime series I've ever seen was NGE and I loved it. Brian Mcoy persuaded me to buy these films. I look forward to their arrival. Edited June 21, 2011 by Dyson ;_;
arab_freak Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 New watches: These things are a growing fad here in Egypt. A lot of my friends buy about 5 or 6 of them, yet they only alternate between two different colors whenever we're out. I like the funky colors the most, like turquoise and electric blue. Out of curiosity, how much did you shell out for these? They're terribly overpriced in my region.
Will Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 They were $25 each, the standard black is $10 but I didn't mind the extra for the silly colours.
Happenstance Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 I figured as its on sale for £2 on the PSN then why not
Shorty Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 I spent £2 on energy drinks today, so that's a good purchase I'm sure you will enjoy it.
Murr Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 New watches: Watch fetish much :p I like them! I remember the old school black one. I had one like this you could change the tv channel on it. Made watching films at school alot of fun
Goafer Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 For Jidder. Payed the princely sum of £0.00. Taxing a vintage car never loses it's smug factor.
Happenstance Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Dunno, I think Goafer may have explained it to me once but that was for when he had the Buggy so ive forgotten. Im sure he'll come on later with a post explaining it which i'll probably end up glossing over :p
Shorty Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Cool Just wondering though - what's the logic? It's mostly due to presumed low mileage per year, but if you do use it frequently what you save on tax you likely lose in MPG... unless perhaps it's a classic Mini.
