Made my lemon cake!

 

Now. I understand it looks as though someone (of the male persuasion) has got excited and unloaded over the cake. However this is just a simple lemon frosting that is drizzled over. :laughing:

 

Normal lemon cakes usually contain lemon zest that I HATE so I don't add that. Also, some recipes say to prick the cake and pour a lemon syrup over it which again I don't like as it gives you a wet cake which isn't very cakey to me.

So I made up my own recipe. As mentioned in a previous post everyone who tastes it say its the best lemon cake they have tried!

This is a lemon sandwich cake with lemon flavoured sponge, a home made lemon curd centre and a drizzle of jizz... erm lemon frosting.

Felt like dessert at 1am, did not feel like washing a million bowls and utensils.

 

Solution: chocolate cake in a mug!

4 tablesp self-raising flour

4 tablesp sugar (I only used 3 because I don't like sugar)

2 tablesp cocoa

bind above with an egg

3 tablesp milk

3 tablesp oil

dash of vanilla essence

 

Put in microwave for 3 minutes, it will rise alarmingly. Wait for it to sink a bit, then eat. This recipe results in a bouncy, pudding-y creation, rather than a true soft crumby chocolate cake.

The wonders of 5-min cake! Still not tried it. Rather prefer 5-minute steak! Yeah not got a link for that one :(

 

Aw, I should've revived that thread! But I am disappointed in the lack of pictures! And lol at whoever was worried about uncooked eggs, I used to like eating them raw (but of course I made sure they were fresh) :p

For reference, I missed off the black line along the bottom but only just realised this, I'll put it on next time I make them, I have some dough left. :yay:

 

I've been making Penguin Biscuits all afternoon with my cuddly penguin, Faux Etopen. :D

 

Inspired by the anime Mawaru Penguindrum. :grin:

I was 99% sure this post was going to end with "... and pepper."

 

Ah but it goes without saying... :heh:

 

No pepper = No deal!

 

Though recently I've become quite liberal with the sweet chilli sauce because it's quite literally one of the best accompaniments since salt...

Busy re-inventing fusion cooking! ... lol...

 

What 'm eating was made from;

- onion

- pepper

- handful of mushrooms

- three cloves of garlic

- two large chilis

- Sweetcorn

- passata

- secret ingredient my girlfriend told me about taht I cannot share

- worcester sauce

- smoked paprika

- basil

- oregano

- rosemary (hint of)

- cinnamon

- salt & Pepper

 

Served with pasta (this time) and cheese.

 

MMMMMMMMMMMM!
