Cube Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 It was meant to be that this month though, I won't hold my breath! But this is on the official blog this time: http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013/08/22/playstation-plus-in-september-assassins-creed-iii-jak-daxter-trilogy-more/
Ike Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I was wondering what happened to Little Kings Story, thought it was meant to be out by now and I missed it somehow.
Magnus Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 The Jak & Daxter Trilogy is made up of one third awesome Super Mario-quality platforming and two parts awful, grimdark GTA clones, so if anyone's playing the series for the first time, I'd seriously recommend quitting after the first game. I'm happy about Stealth Inc, though. I was considering buying it yesterday. Seconded on the J&D Trilogy. Kind of wish it were for Vita, though. I know you want everything on the Vita, but the Vita port of this is supposed to be pretty bad, while the PS3 port is perfect. Here are some more things for you to lick:
Magnus Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 You'll never have to play on anything other than your Vita ever again.
Daft Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Sometimes I wonder why I even splashed out on a TV.
Magnus Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Yeah, you could have spent that money on a bigger memory card. This joke brought to you from before the price cut.
Ashley Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Does anyone know if the 3 months PSPlus free when you buy 12 months deal Sony announced at Gamescom is just if you upgrade to PS4? i.e. if I were to buy 12 months and only use it on a PS3, would I still get 3 extra months next year?
Daft Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 The 3 months applies to anyone/everyone, I believe. Anyone who says PSN is slow can suck it, I just downloaded the 4Gb Killzone 3 multiplayer in 12 minutes.
Ashley Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 May pick it up from Amazon then as its £35 at the moment. Or I may not get around to it and it'll go up in price. Anything could happen!
dwarf Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 You've made me want to play KZ again, ffs. Such a love/hate relationship. Downloading will take just shy of 2 hours.
Daft Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I had a bit of a blast on it. Had no idea what I was doing. Still a lot of fun.
dwarf Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 LOL. Just realised it boots you out at rank 10, which I reached when I last downloaded it. Yeeeeaaaaaahhhhh.

Sheikah Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I should probably try KZ out one day, always seemed a bit generic to me.
dwarf Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 The multiplayer is worth a look, it has its own feel. Only slightly less bullshit than Cod though. Ignore the campaigns.
nightwolf Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 PS+ 28th August: Assassin’s Creed 3 28th August: The Jak and Daxter Trilogy 28th August: Stealth Inc: A Clone In The Dark 28th August: Urban Trial Freestyle 28th August: New Little King’s Story Jak and Daxter Trilogy, hell yes. YESSSSSS. My favourite series, ever.
Magnus Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 I don't think I've ever played J&D. You've missed one good game and two bad ones. You should play the first one, love it, then skip the sequels to avoid soiling your impression of Naughty Dog as a company that can do no wrong. Unless Uncharted 3 already did that. Hey, I liked Uncharted 3!
Rowan Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Is AC3 a bad AC if you've never properly played one of the games in the franchise before?
Magnus Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 It's considered one of the weaker games in the series, if that's what you're asking. You won't be lost in the story, since they're all mostly standalone (well, you'll be lost when it comes to the present-day stuff, but everyone is at this point). It's a fun game and it's worth playing.

Magnus Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 It's not like there are many similarities between the first Jak and Daxter and Jak 2/3 so it's hardly surprising that someone might like the first game and think the sequels are abominations.
