Had a letter through today from the tax-man. Turns out they owe me a £430 re-bate. Lovely jubbly. Shopping is a cert. Need a new web-cam and ear-phones, probably a new MP3 player as well if i feel like it.

I actually did some work today, well i wrote 6 letters, modified the diary and helped set a room up. Not bad for £30 odd.

Everyone at work drinks that much tea.... Seems like every 20 minutes someone stands up and asks "Brew?"

Same in our place! We get milk/tea/coffee etc provided, the place gets through about 32 litres of milk a week!

jesus h, does anyone do any work? I'd probably just take a laptop to the pisser and set up shop there to save walking all the time.

It was a bloody joke at SCS. I must have made somewhere between 50-100 cups of tea a day. Baring in mind there's only 5 staff and I'm only there for 7 hours.

A rather unproductive Friday. Lecture was okay I suppose. By the time it started I was too tired to care. Spoke to father, always a chore. Filling out a "gimme money" form for postgrad but they only give out 4 for all students applying within the film, media and etc degrees so seems rather pointless. And they insist my first reference is the course leader who I've never met.

And facebook is suggesting I become friends with my student who wants no contact. No facebook, stop thinking you know best. It's getting to be as cocky and smug as the iPhone.

Blargle. Waiting on "official" word about this move that's been decided on. The boss told me on the sly, and none of the others know. Little do the higher ups know, they've just emptied the office of trained staff by doing this. Nobody will want to travel 35 miles in rush hour traffic. And they have no practical knowledge of the system itself. Bahaha hope they all fail miserably!

I'm in the process of applying for a lab assistant's job in the hospital, so hopefully with any luck I'll get a job there. Same money, bit more travel, but less than my current job would be. And my uncle works in that department so i can dig up the details from him :heh:

Went into college with some other friendlies to do extra portfolio work, stunning to see what goes on there on our day off. (Just the part-time courses)

We had coffee/break with the staff because we had to be signed onto the staff register and we collectively brought cheesecake to woo. Was good. They have things to say.

Went home for my pointlessly-cutting-into-day driving lesson, which I tried to cancel yesterday but they refused to pick up the phone. Yet he phoned 10 minutes before the lesson to say his car exploded or something so it was cancelled. Annoying cause I then did NO work that afternoon cause I'd come all the way home with all my stuff...if I'd known I would have stayed at college to do more.

Watched Hurt Locker.

Used to drive me crazy at various work places when they drank tea, they'd keep asking me if I wanted any even though id told them I didnt drink it. Plus the first time in every job ive had I tell them I dont drink tea they look at me like I just took a shit on the table.

Lies. Tea is a rather bland drink. Plus it has limited time of drinkability. Water is the way to go :p

"GIMME MONIES" application complete. About to post. Although I put "BGP REFERENCE" on the front rather than 'APPLICATION' so had to scribble that out. They'll throw away the envelope upon arrival right? :p

Plans for rest of the day;

Phone Groom

Photoshopping

Write

Draw

Clean hamster cage

Research ISAs

Buy more ink

Fun saturday. Least I have the new Gorillaz and Marina to listen to :D

Speaking of fun saturdays, two weeks until I see fun. :D

I'd describe you as cheeky, irreverent and fun Dan and your postings in here are a jamboree-bag of emotional stories from the poignant to the potty and always plain gripping.

Had sex with my girlfriend yesterday, though we had to stop half way cos she was on her period and there was too much blood. Bad times.

Had a good lie-in then proceeded to 'cleanse' my room by pretty much throwing out anything that wasn't nailed down. Fun times.

sheeesh, you should leave her alone when she's having it. The best time is just before.

I've finally got a job after 3 horrible years at Barclays, although I need to learn PHP and MySQL in the 4 weeks before I start and I have to pass my driving test in the next 6 months. Gosh! Talk about a challenge..

Neat tip that puts learning to drive into perspective;

The average number of lessons is between 20 - 40 (I don't know?)

Which means you could theoretically learn to drive in a day.

I had 24 hours of lessons and then passed first time. I did, however, get a lot of practice outside those lessons.
