EEVILMURRAY Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Today I passed my theory test! Woo!! Virgin passage?
Letty Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Virgin passage? Indeeeeed, I had one booked before but had to cancel at last second. And I only revised this morning and had never even seen hazard perception until the test!
Ashley Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Congrats Letty Today was my the last lecture of one module and it was weird and slightly anti-climaxtic. People I've known for the last three years and today may well be the last time I see them (okay possibly Thursday during Dissy Demolition but thats a different matter). Other than that wrapped up one assignment and now going to finish off the other even though I approached it from a reception studies mindset and checked with lecturer today saying "its about individualistic interpretation of texts yes?" and he said its the opposite of that...but all my reading say its individualistic. Meh.
Jav_NE Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I downloaded the Dexter opening and closing themes to my iPod. I love it! The ending one really puts me in deep thought. That's about the most exciting thing i did today sadly, though am about to watch Gossip Girl so that should be good.
Paj! Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 *gasps* Tori Amos' new album is out for preorder on iTunes, and normally I'd just wait for the CD, but if I preorder I get access to the presale for tickets for her tour. I'm gonna be in Europe for the start of the summer, so if I preorder, and then the presale only applies to tickets in the UK, and she's playing while I'm away, I'm screwed. If it's for the whole of Europe, I might do it. But then...I hate buying it digitally, when I really want it on CD. Dilemma/ I'll just wait till the dates are announced. I might e-mail Ticketmaster.
timypeg Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 todays been great, won £10 on a scracthcard. put into to my bank on bett on man u winning which they did so i got £26 for it. then when on sky bet and have won another £34 so i am very happy:bouncy:

Just a thought. You could buy it both digitally and physically. Emailing Ticketmaster never seems to work, i've always got some automated like borg response about nothing being announced as yet.

Emailing Ticketmaster never seems to work, i've always got some automated like borg response about nothing being announced as yet. I guess. There's the "incentive" of the physical CD coming with a DVD of videos for each song. I'll try and e-mail, but as you said, I don't expect much back.
Chris the great Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Job interview tomorrow. Pretty nervous tbh. Not sure what I'm gonna say or if I'm turning up in the right attire or anything. Ho hum. Today has been utter wank. My sister decided to have a full on panic attack and I don't really know how to deal with it so probably made it worse. Meh. Whatever. Hope to be able to play some games today. job interviews. just stay act confident. trust me, confidence speaks alot. be friendly, make eye contact and grasp the hand firm when shaking. on top of that, mention that your motivated, ask about training that will be given, dont mention money if you can avoid it. oh, and be 10 mins early. I've started lessons just recently and I'm 22. XD Seems to be the thing to do here the day you turn 17.. what with there being rubbish public transport. same for me, my lessons start next week. not excited, not nervous, not anything. Girl I was thinking about asking out has is now in a relationship with someone else. What a shit feeling... yeah, theres only one thing for it. man up. seriosuly, it sounds like an insult but its not. i was the same at one point, but dwelling on it wont make things better. you made the wrong decision, and you lost out. next time you'l know to take the risk and go for it. confidence is one of the most attractive qualities in a male (apparently, and unless it reaches cockyness) so just be confident, or if your not, act it. if you act confident you will actualy be more confidnt. ive regretted not acting sooner alot, and yeah, it sucked, sucks more then rejection by a long way.
EEVILMURRAY Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 todays been great, won £10 on a scracthcard. put into to my bank on bett on man u winning which they did so i got £26 for it. then when on sky bet and have won another £34 so i am very happy:bouncy: This reminds me, I won £37 on the Sticky 13 at Daddy's pub on Sunday, that weekend seemed to favour my gambling instincts. I may try the casino again on Friday. Maybe Saturday since I'm going to be in town on the night anyway.
Ashley Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Just had a 'serious' facebook chat with my little brother. I still find it strange that we seem to have become friends. I know everyone says it happens (although it never has nor never will with my elder) when you grow up but its still odd. Anyway we talking about our father and our mother. He's still having a hard time accepting her with anyone else (not 'not with my father', but more with anyone. I can't remember my parents ever being close, and he will obviously remember even less so I can see where he's coming from). Its mostly hashing over old ground but I just feel sorry there's no instant fix for how he feels/the wider sitch. Oh yeah and I should be doing work. This Dr Pepper Zero is blatantly a lie, im so perky :p Gonna have another 4-6 hour night sleep. Can't wait until a lie in on Saturday.
Cube Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) I have my second interview in as many weeks today. From what he said on the phone (I applied for a different position) he essentially wants a computer geek (apparently he read between the lines on my CV and said that if I don't know something then I can probably find out. Yay for Google!). Edit: Oh, and someone told me to get a Phoenix Wright game...but they're still quite expensive. Edited May 6, 2009 by Cube
Dyson Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Just got back from my interview. Not convinced I did too well to be honest, but that might just be me. Apparently you always think you did badly in interviews. We shall find out soon I suppose. By Monday in fact. Got my fingers crossed! So dressed semi-dapper, I decided to go get some lunch and popped in to Greggs. Really cute girl behind the counter was serving me and you know when you can just tell that there's a connection? I totally felt it. Like the way she put the change in my hand and smiled and had a silly joke with me and stuff. You can just tell. And I could then. And I left, walked half way home and instantly regretted not following up on it and maybe asking her name or something. How are you meant to do that stuff anyway? I'll never understand how people can ask anyone out. I always think I'll make a fool out of myself but inside it felt as if she was waiting for me to ask her more. Bleh. So far, not a good day. Though on the plus side, I did just have a delicious baguette from Greggs. *sigh*

She'll come to know you that way and then, in a little while, you can ask her out.
Supergrunch Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Well I went to Subway, asked the guy for ranch sauce, and he proceeded to squirt a load of ketchup (which I can't stand) all over one end of the sub. When I corrected him, he just covered it up with ranch sauce as if that made things okay. I nearly asked him to make it all again, but it was only one end so I couldn't really be bothered. Then when I was eating it the ketchup dripped out and went all over my shirt. [/petty rant] Day wasn't too bad other than that. 3 hours of seminars/lectures, all fun.
Paj! Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Off school again, just felt horrible. Didn't go back to bed as usual, didn't feel like it. So just dossed about all morning, then watched The Hours again. I need to do some more English work in a bit. Joy.
Wesley Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I get my new glasses today! Yay! I also am still having a salad every week day... so good. So, so good. I can't remember who my salad buddy was, but I hope you're still keeping up the love.
Jimbob Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I've arranged a meet-up with a nice young lady for lunchtime tomorrow (was meant to be today, but she had the doctors). Shall see what happens (knowing my luck and the way i talk to new people, not much). And i still got my ex stalking me on email, msn and facebook even though i deleted her accounts off my friends list and set my account to friends only.
Ganepark32 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Finished my prep for my Dubliners essay for my english exam. Only needed to do a small amount more this morning, which was basically critical research but it's done and I've got a few sources that I'll work into my essay some how. Also got a nice piece of poetry to work in from Joyce about Ireland but it's whether I remember it on the day or not. Will sort of focus it all into how I'm going to structure it tomorrow/friday and then I just need to start on my second essay. So, I went out and bought CDs and bubble envelope things for the mix thing. Got both discs burned and will sort out the cover art in a short while once my mother gets off of the computer with the printer (which also has Photoshop which I find easier to use than Gimp). So they'll be posted this afternoon. And then I'll have nothing to do. Think I'll make another mix seeing as I'm in a mood to be listening to loads of music.
Dan_Dare Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Keep going back. Become a regular. You'll find out when she works, and slowly say more each time she's there. She'll come to know you that way and then, in a little while, you can ask her out. But first you need to find out what she eats every night, how she sleeps, who her friends are, where she lives, what shampoo brand she uses and her dental records
Jimbob Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 But first you need to find out what she eats every night, how she sleeps, who her friends are, where she lives, what shampoo brand she uses and her dental records I would class the above as stalking. Only attempt the above if you are an expert at stealth.
Paj! Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I need a new ringtone. I've had for so long that when it came on shuffle just now, I thought my phone was ringing. It's ruining a great song. I need to choose one with an immediate opening though.
Dan_Dare Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Back in Black by AC/DC I'm telling you now you'll never feel more baddass answering your calls.
Slaggis Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I need to choose one with an immediate opening though. Can you not just cut a song so its just the chorus? That's usually what I end up doing.
