Blue_Ninja0 Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 So many people listing anime, and no doubt their only 'experience' on the subject is some poorly dubbed pokemon episodes or something like that, le sigh. lol, Good point. Or sailor moon or any other crappy stuff they used to put on saturday morning. 1) ipods 2)Halo 1
Ant-Shimmin Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 Not really, it's actually all the same in my eyes...Anime That is And I understand that some people don't like Football, or Rugby but All Sport? Jesus...Mother of God....
Shino Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 And I understand that some people don't like Football, or Rugby but All Sport? Jesus...Mother of God.... We think the same about anime. Edit: This may sound misleading, what I meant was, we understand someone not liking some anime, but not liking any of it is the same as not liking any movies.
Strider Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 1) Watching Golf (*Yawn*) 2) Sitting in bus stops 3) Rave, also known as noise 4) Emo music Edit: 5) Running - How can you like running?
Supergrunch Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Not really, it's actually all the same in my eyes...Anime That is It varies a fair bit... for example: ...and that's only from shows I like.
Ant-Shimmin Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 We think the same about anime. I actually don't think they are comparable.... Seriously...... Can you go out with your friends and watch Anime and Sing About Anime? Can you go to a stadium and watch Anime? Can Anime united a country? Can Anime inspire people? Can Anime result in some of the greatest experiences of your life time? Can you spend hours upon end at a County Cricket club with a few mates have a few drinks and watch cricket in the sun? And thats only covering a small range of sports and their are many many different sports... It varies a fair bit... for example: ...and that's only from shows I like. Well it's different, but it's based on the same convention... Japanese people with big eyes and facial expressions Fair Credit to you all if you Like Anime, but it has never taken my fancy!
ReZourceman Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 1) Apple, Mac, iPods. 2) Phones that aren't Nokias.

Can you spend hours upon end at a County Cricket club with a few mates have a few drinks and watch cricket in the sun? Those aren't all really fair options - i mean you can't necessarily do all of those with anything you watch on tv, you know. Having said that, I think i've done at least three of those things. Well it's different, but it's based on the same convention... Japanese people with big eyes and facial expressions I thought a similar sort of thing before Shorty actually got me watching some. You'd be surprised how good they can be! Focusing merely on the 'anime' part of anime is like focusing on the fact that there's 22 men running around on the pitch in football. Sure, it's true, but that's not the reason you watch it, is it? I've seen anime's about ninjas, pirates, high school, board games, tennis, robots... It's all a fantasy world. Like computer games, there's a lot of sub-genres, and it's rather narrow minded to say you'll never like any anime. It's not just a cartoon!
Coolness Bears Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Phones, i don't get the fascination with them! People spend there lives slave to the Phones with constant texts. maybe i just don't have friends...

The fish Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Here goes: Watching golf. Playing golf. Straight whiskey. Being patriotic. Causing arguments. Macs (I may have just done my above point ) Being aggressive. Running for "fun". The USA. Most seafood. Playstation controllers. Final Fantasy games. Rap, Hip-Hop, and all that jazz (not including jazz). Fighting. Really spicy food. SUV's. (Pass me the RPG!) Sunbathing. Counter-Strike. Tea. Jelly. And, worst of all, jelly sweets!
Roostophe Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 1. Heroes 2. Birmingham City Football Club 3. McFly 4. FIFA being better than Pro Evo (because it's licensed) 5. The United States of America 5. London 6. Iron Maiden Well it's different, but it's based on the same convention... Japanese people with big eyes and facial expressions Fair Credit to you all if you Like Anime, but it has never taken my fancy! That's what I used to think about Anime; Big eyes, facial expressions, over-the-top emotion and awful J-Pop. Not anymore, though, I sorta like it now.
Bluejay Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Phones, i don't get the fascination with them! People spend there lives slave to the Phones with constant texts. maybe i just don't have friends... Thats a good one actually. i do have one now though, its amazing, it cost £8, has up to 2 features, 6 high quality ringtones and up to 2 colours. Here goes:Watching golf. Playing golf. Straight whiskey. Being patriotic. Causing arguments. Macs (I may have just done my above point ) Being aggressive. Running for "fun". The USA. Most seafood. Playstation controllers. And, worst of all, jelly sweets! Oh man. I love jelly and milkshakes. Mmn non gelatinated gum based beverages. I don't like MMOs or anything where grinding/repetive dull tasks are required.
chairdriver Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Everyone likes different things, so get over it. Preferably quickly.
AshMat Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 1. Music where people scream their insides up their throat. (bands like bring me the horizon, enter shakira, i killed the prom queen. etc come to mind) 2. Football. 3. Going to the skatepark with the sole puprose of getting drunk. (1 and 3 refer to a lot of fucktards i know)
Noodleman Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 1, Otakus 2, Frothing with rabid excitement because a video game company makes lots of money 3, Frothing over review scores 4, JRPG's 5, 99% of Science Fiction 6, People not watching Arrested Development causing it to get cancelled, yet utter bilge like 2.5 men gets multiple seasons. 7, Trekies

Jonnas Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 1. Halo - You'd expect people would see beyond the hype. Sure the online may be good, but hold it as one of the greatest series ever? Pffft. 2. The fuss over Football - I can understand people liking it, but even the media hold football in a higher ground than they should. All the fuss around it is the only thing I can't comprehend. 3. Cars 4. Star Trek 5. Video Gaming Fanboys that pay too much attention to sales, business deals and review scores. 6. Coca-Cola - I just don't like it. 7. Text messaging for no reason at all 8. The craze over cellphones - They exist to make phonecalls. Nothing more. 9. Rap and Hip-Hop 10. MTV 11. 50 Cent 12. Fans of the unknown - You know, people that love obscure bands/groups/companies, but start hating them as soon as they start getting some significant fame (even though they don't change their style), claiming they 'sold themselves'. 13. TVI (Portuguese Channel) It seems there are quite a few thing I don't like...

An anime non-likers I'm in between, I seem to like what the sporty people do and what the anime people and everyone else. :p Although 1. Mcfly/Busted/Charlie Simpson. My friends all adore them and think that they are/were awesome bands etc.. I can't stand any of them
