ha! i mastered the dutch G - i can even say Graag Gedaan

Haha well done :smile: Most English (or non-Germanic speakers for that matter) always seem to be say using the G sound from 'Juan' all the time and it sounds ridiculous. Now try saying 'hagelslag', 'aardbeiengebakje' and 'Scheveningen' :heh:

 

Then again, 80% of the Dutch and German population never bothers mastering the English 'th' sound and just uses an s. That's even more ridiculous.

it took me well over a month to learn it, there are no similar sounds in english, i still get it wrong sometimes, usually over pronouncing the G.
