Fierce_LiNk Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 You know...many university students lack a TV (like me). At least the Arctic Monkeys won something. Ahh, you have a point. Well played. And, wtf! I can't stand the Arctic Monkeys, and no way should they have got best british band. I think all four other acts were better.
mcj metroid Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 yes the artic monkeys annoy me.They just lack...everything
Guest Jordan Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Is that **** Russel Brand hosting it? God he's a right fucking ****. Yes, i hate him.
Caris Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 None of these awards went to the people they should have.
CoolFunkMan Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Well Muse won best live act, and rightfully so. Though Arctic Monkeys!!?!!? Best British band and best album!?!?! What. The. Hell!? Okay, so fair play to them for making it big, but there's no way they deserved to win. They came from nowhere, and are just a craze at the moment. Eventually all the hype will die down and they'll vanish off the face of the earth.
Rummy Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I caught very small parts of this, there was just so much stuff on tv i wanted to see tonight! This, Greenfingers, Al Murray's Happy Hour, Freaky Eaters, Ugly Betty, so hard to pick! I ended up with Al Murray though, flicking to the brits from time to time, wish I'd watched it more though cos Russell Brand was presenting and I like his style. How was he for a presenter? Was it also just me, or was Liam rather rude about their award?
Charlie Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I can't stand the Arctic Monkeys either, their music just bores me. Muse's album is so much better and they should've won best Album and Group.
Dyson Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Anyone see the Scissor Sisters opening act? Was rather good.
Ramar Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Again the Brits prove what a crock of shit they are. Arctic Monkeys.. don't recall them doing anything in 2006. Piece of crap, where popularity overides talent.
Platty Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I love the Arctic Monkeys. Congratulations to them Liam sounded shit tonight.... Noel solo gigs are the future!!!
*Dalco* Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Arctic Monkeys.. don't recall them doing anything in 2006 apart from having the biggest selling debut album and a number one single? i do agree they are overrated, they have about 5 belters on there album but the other 8 tracks are just fillers and plod along, how that album beat muses i will never no but still.... also kasabian should have got best british group not the arctics
Blackfox Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 This was the biggest waste of oxygen ever. 3 exceptions: Oasis, Sean Bean and Muse. The rest was tits.
Sanchez Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Bloc party will win some stuff next year, although people who can't get over Silent alarm will bitch.
4q2 Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 yes the artic monkeys annoy me.They just lack...everything From that nominees list, its all record company sponsored shite that lacks everything. Nelly Furtado is worth one these days though....
AshMat Posted February 15, 2007 Author Posted February 15, 2007 People are forgetting Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's award (the one htey gave away anyway), i thought it was hilarious.

Noodleman Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 except for Snow Patrol And Amy Winehouse being better then Lilly Allen in everyway possible. Oh and the Raconteurs are shit as well.
Fields Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 This is how it should of been. Argh, it's should have
darksnowman Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 I heard Muse won! And I didnt even vote for them this year, isnt it nice to see them winning stuff without my ongoing support! Keep up the great work boys!
Platty Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 You're all forgetting who votes for these awards.... Radio one listeners, smash hits etc etc.. So of course a lot of "they shouldnt have won" will happen. NME awards is where it's at. heh *runs & hides*
ipaul Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Outstanding Contribution to music Oasis Big Brother What.......no. They're not that good!!! They really aren't, how can people be so fixated with them.... I dont listen to alot of the artists listed (actually the only one in any real detail would be Muse I think) so I can't comment much, but alot of those seem like bad choices.
