Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & The Blade of Light (4th December 2020)

There's also Boah, and I think that's it? Considering that there's a whopping 52 characters in this game? There's a real dearth of magic users here! -

I’m up to Chapter 17 myself. I’m starting to settle on just 13 odd characters now; as everyone else is starting to fall too far behind to be viable anymore. Starting to really appreciate Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn’s Bonus EXP system here... It really was a brilliant idea that went a long way towards making other characters much more viable! BTW, pro tip @Jonnas. Dump Lena now and just give Wendell the staves. Lena isn’t worth it, Wendell is all you need as far as staves go (and he’s pretty good with magic too; not the absolute best, but generally pretty solid. There actually aren’t a lot of magic users you get, period, anyway!) -
Oh yeah, I saw that a good while ago. It's amazingly well put together!

Who likes cool things? I like cool things! In case you don't know, David Wise and Kevin Bayliss have set up a new channel called DK Creations! And they're sharing previously unseen concept art & music from their games!

4 is NES. 5 & 6 are SNES. 4 was originally released in English on the NES in the US. 5 & 6 were never localised until their respective DS remakes.

DLSS is almost guaranteed to be included as a key feature of Switch 2. It’s basically a free 40-50% performance boost across the board with any 3D game; and it’s Nvidia’s big USP with their current generation of graphics chips. It’s a huge advantage that will go a LONG way towards closing the power gap between Switch 2 and PS5/Series X (which have no such equivalent feature).

Fantastic! Now everyone will know the joys of Pervy Uncle Kong! -
That game is solid gold and I stick by that review. Not my fault that you’re just weird

Smash 4 already answered this question for us... 1-ups and Double Cherries create clones of Mario with their own individual consciousness and memories. Each Mario lost is one Mario dead and kicked out of existence. The end

Yeah... 2021 is basically gonna get delayed into 2022 (not just for Sony, but for everyone). THIS is when we’ll really start feeling the effects of COVID on game development...

DSi/DSiXL is still the best way to play DS games. Oh, and nothing beats the Mega Stylus that comes with the ol’ DSiXL! Still got mine! Pokemon Conquest is also a real good time. Great choice you made there @Hero-of-Time

See this guy? This guy has good taste, you should listen to him.

Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory (Switch, PS4, XBOne)

@Hero-of-Time You insane madman! Congrats! -
I actually really liked the look used for Gen 6. They did a great job of replicating the look of the 2D games with the 3D models (even going so far as to disable texture filtering!) Gen 7 disappointed me with how it looked almost identical inside of battles though. Gen 8's look is fine. Nothing mindblowing, but it's at least refreshing after having the Gen 6 look for so long.

Job done. Thanks Nintendo!

Jesus! That’s some kind of super mod alright! Most I’ve ever done was modding my N64 & SNES for Japanese games and modding my GBA for USB-C charging (the backlight was a pre-made mod I bought). Good luck to you with it mate! Keen to see your progress

Personally, I’m still waiting on Mega Yanmega myself.
-
Well, don’t forget that Pokémon Go just added Megas in the last few months or so... They wouldn’t do that unless TPC/ Game Freak had plans to make them ongoing in the future

What a coinkidink! Looks like Bloodstained might be kicking off a bit of a trend!

I do think Mega Evos are still on the cards for the Gen 4 remakes. Sword/Shield actually did have Mega Evolutions in mid-development, which were later cut due to time constraints... What could’ve been... Every current/modern Pokémon game has Mega Evolution, except for Sword/Shield (including the latest release, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX). I suspect that Mega Evolutions will make their grand return here. Game Freak last put out a new game in 2019; and their second team last put out a mainline game in 2018 (Let’s Go). Not to mention that they’re building off of an existing Switch engine this time. So hopefully they’ve had enough time to get out a respectable remake of Gen 4 this time around (Oh I’m certain there will be cuts, but hopefully nothing near as egregious as what we saw with Sword/Shield - and this time, I don’t think Mega Evos will be one of them).

Ahh, to correct myself, Kawazu was the battle system Director/Lead Designer for Final Fantasy 1&2. After FF2, he went on to direct Saga/The Final Fantasy Legend, and then stuck with directing the Saga series from there on out (though he also was Producer on FF Crystal Chronicles and Legend of Mana amongst other titles).
-
The entire SAGA series is an offshoot of FF2. Same director, same kind of anti-Final Fantasy style RPG systems. The whole series prides itself on throwing a middle finger at typical RPG game systems & structure. Anywho, I'm gonna get the collection eventually. Super pleased to see these games finally get re-released! (Especially since the original carts cost an absolute bomb now!). I need some actual decent time to play them though! And yes, late localisations/EU releases of games is the best thing ever! We've done really well out of this generation in that regard! Long may it continue!

On the plus side, those minor differences are really funny... Look at these hilarious monstrosities! You want them!
