  1. Random thing I just found for the ole IRCers, which would've been around the time I left the universe for a year; http://stats.projectjj.com/cube-europe.html And for charlie; http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=moria
  2. I've sent a message to dyson to get the okgo. Sign-ups should commence today/tomorrow.
  3. Hey daft do you think you could find a bigger version of that picture? The text is a little hazy for me.
  4. This is my worst season ever. I want it to slow down plz.
  5. I like how you basically said "wench! Film me for an hour!" :P
  6. Shhh it's the new music thread
  7. (cover) Got a thing for guitar instrumentals at the moment. Love me a bit of surf rock!
  8. yes! I was j7wicked back then, mind you. There's still a mild roster of us from back then
  9. Aw, man. Whenever I see something cute like that I feel like I have to balance things out by enduring /b/ for 30 mins. Weird day.
  10. Women with prams, old people, narrow pavements and fat people. Groups of people. Wandering children. A-boards, bollards, signs. Big issue sellers, charity beggars, leaflets and protestors. People who can't cross roads. Cars parked. Cars moving. Mobile phones, bad smells, road works. Tourists who think standing in a group on a street corner is ok. Fuck this shit. I'm-a go sit on a doorstep and daydream. Having one of those "fkinell" days where everything is just out of place and highlighted for errors. Sitting down rocks.
  11. ON THE PLUS SIDE my girlfriend passed her driving test (whoopee!) so we can plan road trips and stuff. I also applied for a job yesterday at AmEx, did some online stuff for it today, then got a phone call thing, which finished off with them promising to give me an interview. Potential job future win. I was also reminded today that I've really cut back/slowed down with my posting on here. Must try harder.
  12. Aw, man. I've been slowly working my way through Sliders and I just watched s03e06. Throughout I was thinking "hey, this guy acts pretty good. Why don't I recognise him?" Then at the end it pops up "RIP Ken Steadman, 1969 - 1996"... ... Turns out this actor died filming this episode. Like, he made a few bit appearances here and there, yet his performance in this episode was brilliant. Some stupid dune-buggy stunt went wrong and he died. It really struck a chord with me. To the extent where I've just sent an email to a few addresses I found on various fan/family-run sites trying to express my condolences. I've received errors saying these addresses are now defunct. It's just... ugh. I was watching his acting thinking "hey, this gives me an idea for my story..." and stuff and to see that he was killed by this show... It's just so fucking weird. And such a shame. Ugh.
  13. Alright. Well if you give me a day, I can concoct stuff. Just not this day. I'm busy 'til thursday :P But yes! I can pull stuff.
  14. Wait what? Godfather 2 (II) was not a prequel. Stop being silly. Prequels in general are a fairly recent addition to the horrors of cash-in cinema. While many tread the gore-horror-terror grounds, iconic cinema has largely been left untouched. Why? Because once upon a time there was a strong idea that movies were a form of art, where the product was a postulated completed product. However, the rise of the unnecessary sequel in the last 10 years (indiana jones, star wars, halloween, etc) has forced the money moguls of hollywood to consider what other gross bodily harm they can cause. The Exorcist cashed in, as did Dumb and Dumber... and hey, judging by your own responses to these words, how do you think this will fare? Exactly. The fact that these big-wallet factions of the money-mill film industry have decided to play with a well-known and retroactively applied title of "brand" rather than taking the idea through a think-tank for new IP has to immediately demonstrate the priorities here; Do Not Fool Yourselves. A prequel has no concept of faithfulness, nor any dreams of worthiness. We are witnessing the birth of an era full of nostalgia suctioning, mark my words. A new ghostbusters movie? Tip of the disharmonic iceberg that threatens all that hollywood has accidentally excreted into the annuls of lucrative film history. This will not be good. I am willing to be my kneecaps on it.
  15. I'm a fan of the pegg/frost movies! Typically they star in satirical genre pastiches that are worth a dry heave of laughter here and there. Clearly it's very low budget, which will reflect in a lot of poor acting and off delivery with lines but the novelty should carry this film a fair way. Frost's role is hugely downplayed, and in general the trailer gives little away of the plot (even if the story is fairly obvious) so I think I'll put it on my "will watch if and when I have money to do so" list.
  16. It was to do with the URL iirc - some trailers have 5 digits, some had 6? Regardless of the fault, it's more likely it's to do with your ad/script/whatever settings, surely?

    Portal 2

THe original length was, what, two hours max first time through? Had plenty of replayability. I'd imagine this one would have a main storyline of maybe 4 hours max, offering price value through other modes and whatnot. I have no worries for the length at all! Could've gladly done another couple of dozen puzzles the first time round.
  18. Stubbed my toe a few days ago. Toenail fell off today.
  19. ..........
  20. Because we all love origin stories
