Regarding goalkeepers; Van Der Sar has aided Man U not only with shot-stopping but with great ball dispersal, leading to lots of non-factually-backed-up goals. The side's been quite stingy with spending for a few years - with VDS retiring at the end of the season, what do you think they're going to do?

Dude, consider this your 2nd-to-last-warning. Next time I/another mod sees you self-promoting again, we'll just bung it all into one thread. If you continue to act like this, you'll get warnings, thread deletions, eventually a ban. This is not a site where you just advertise your website. Your threads are not your personal newsfeed broadcasts - if nobody is replying then you should do the smart thing and stop posting about it -- or! Smart move, this; edit your original post to contain any additional information. Got it?

Sonic 3 As You Have Never Seen It Before
jayseven replied to NRGUK's topic in General Gaming Discussion
You can feel free to do that stuff, but please stop making ceaseless threads just promoting your own site and/or wares, which is against the rules :bouncy::bouncy: -
Is the world actually ending? Japan hit by quake and tsunami
jayseven replied to flameboy's topic in General Chit Chat
Did anyone else see that a man in california was swept away by the tsunami while trying to take pictures of it? -
In what context? Like, most units EVAR or just speediest to reach a point or... what? It always confuses me what it means, and there's no figures there to verify anything.

I texted ReZ my target for last night but clearly he forgot/it didn't work.

That's the stupid thing about the job market at the moment. I believe that the majority of people could easily be trained to do the majority of £sub-20k jobs. Companies just want to save those pennies!

Lol at the above :P Stupid ban, really. Yay for surprise football :P Being a neutral who mainly just watches MOTD I rarely keep up with the full TV schedule (as noted when I mistakenly thought arse-barca game was televised), I was just thinking phwaaarp... got nothing to do for two hours. OH HAI FOOTBALL!

Dysoooon! I gave him a few days. I'd make sign-ups but I'm going away from tomorrow evening 'til midday monday so it's not exactly primetime to start. Trust me, this peeves me more than it peeves you. Means I won't be able to join the next game as they'll sign-up/start while I'm away! Yes, I suggest you start yours ahead of me and Dyson, but let me start my sign-ups next week, aye?

I bet you have an ace day tomorrow. Happened to me a lot at argos; one seriously shite, gonna-quit day was nearly always followed by a fantastic day.

Inspired by the graze thread. Ish. At uni I'd probably spend £30-£50 a week on myself, including take-aways. I'd buy snack food like pot noodles, pork pies and pasties, and I'd buy pasta sauces or ready-made meals (even if they were sainsbury's basics). Included in the snacks was tinned 'goods' -- from spaghetti to curry to full english breakfast. I rarely had cereal. Usually I'd just set off the smoke alarms with bacon and eggs. In any case, I ate what I wanted when I wanted it. Nowadays, I have to try to make £20 last a fortnight. Breakfast is cereal/skipped, lunch is a sandwich (either peanut butter of salami with mayo) or leftovers. Dinner is either pizza with added toppings (mushrooms, peppers, onions, paprika, whatever) or a big bowl of pasta, where I usually make about 5 portions to last for a few days. A typical fortnight's shop; - Mushrooms - peppers - onions - chillis - garlic - cheese - mincemeat - big roll of salami - pasta - Cereal - 3x pizza - bread - milk - crisps* - dips* *treat :P This list isn't scientifically accurate as I may re-buy things during the fortnight or buy added supplementary items. Whatever. This is dull. Sorry. It isn't as monotonous as it seems! Ok, it is. But I have enough herbs and spices to be able to mess with the pasta sauce to make it italian, spanish, tex-mex. But generally; it's either pizza or pasta. So yes! Do you tend to have the same three meals on repeat? Do you watch what you spend at the shops or just grab what you want?

^ I was wondering if they were the same company. I recalled getting a leaflet through in sheff about them and they did some fairly decent deals on large quantities of veg - but if you're not banging a massive meal together to feed a large family then it's fairly unnecessary.

Davey is my subconscious spellcheck! It is replaces ordinary words with longer ones. Today I've been given a small job to try and sell my mum's friends Beatles 'memorabilia' via whatever means I can. He has magazines, Lennon's death tributes from newspapers, postcards, books, VHS, and also a bunch of programmes from a bunch of 70's music festivals. Made a list of the mags he has and a brief note on the other stuff - took two hours, and I've been researching ebay and other sites (which all seem to use ebay anyway) for price estimates. Ebay pricing will make him smile - but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of bidders. There's a beatle's memorabilia specialist shop in brighton and a couple of music-related auction house-cum-antiques stores that I'll hit up. I'm working on 10% commission but I really think I'll be lucky if I see £20 simply because I don't know if there'll be buyers for anything. Going on a caravan trip on Friday-thru-monday, but on tuesday I'll be doing a photoshoot of a couple of hundred items! Kinda fun, nonetheless.

Aw. They played down the b-movie angle. The official trailer seems to put more emphasis on the surreality of the game rather than the malevolant 'terror' that I got from the first trailer. Still looks ace!

During the turbulent trails of highschool and puberty, I clung to a group of three other dudes and endured. It was with them that I had my first proper drink, smoked my first cigarette, had my first spliff. Hazy and wonderful memories, the lot of them. I don't think I ever felt at that time that I was being pressured into doing anything I didn't want to do. I think that came a lot later in life, actually. However, there was definitely a more peer-pressure susceptible one amongst us. For example, the day of my first spliff, he turned up two hours late. We were drinking pints of guiness and made him catch up -- but he had to have a pint of our mate's dad's home-made wine. He was puking within 20 mins, then went home, then came back two hours later after having had a nap! But yes, he was always the one we knew would eventually cave and say 'yes' if you kept at it. He's lucky we were such good friends :P Still mates. His impressionable nature really means that he's very reliable. Tangent end.

People here forget that gently ribbing at a pal's choice in fashion/music/beverage is a social gesture that, in most instances, suggests camaraderie. Friends will take the piss out of you for being different. They're still friends. Have the willpower to take it and the wisdom to take it lightly.

Not over yet. Arsenal get a goal and they've won.

Own goal! Fantastic. Sounds like it's game on now!
