    hi

Welcome to the forums xgmx I have but one question for you... what does your username stand for?
  5. Happy Birthday Stocka! ^^
  6. Just given Uprising a proper listen, I liked it more than USOE and it is a decent first single but I still expect more from the album... when it's released though I almost fully expect it to be only slightly better than BHAR in the respect of it having many 'enjoyable' tracks and maybe one or two genuinely 'amazing' ones. Ideally it would be all amazing apart from the two tracks they have shown so far but that won't happen as much as I'd like it to... the absolute best-case scenario that can be realistically hoped for is that it's half amazing and half listenable; as much as I want to have more faith in Muse I can't because based on BHAR this will have one truly outstanding track in the form of Exogenesis and the rest will be decent but nowhere near OOS quality. I'm not attacking Muse here but to illustrate the point, BHAR was my first Muse album and I loved it at the time because their style was mostly new and fresh to me but after backtracking and several listens of all albums a lot of BHAR loses it's charm after a while whereas OOS remains solid to this day. So basically I'm looking forward to buying the album, enjoying what I can of it and then a few months down the line when I'm 'tired' of it, longing for their next album to be more like OOS which won't happen seriously though I'm still really looking forward to the album but I'm just taking a more realistic view of what it will probably be like. Oh and as a sidenote, I love the album cover, much better than BHAR' which although random / odd just lacked something... but The Resistance' cover is very nice indeed and reminds me more of the art style used on OOS' cover.
  7. Got back from Sonisphere late yesterday evening, was really awesome though and well worth it, highlights of the show for me personally were... Airbourne Alice in Chains Avenged Sevenfold Cancer Bats Coheed and Cambria Linkin Park Metallica NIN Saxon I'm really glad that I went now even if I did get sunburn despite applying sun cream and wearing a hat / sunglasses... >.> meh w/e it was definitely worth it and I'd most likely go again, I enjoyed most of the bands, as expected Linkin Park, NIN and Metallica played faultlessly and were a joy to see / hear though I must confess I was slightly dissapointed by NIN because it was my first time seeing them and they didn't play very much of their heavy stuff despite coming on late and leaving early :/ what they did play was amazing but just not real heavy tracks like March of the Pigs... tbh though I'm just glad I got to see them perform. Linkin Park played a really good setlist with all the stuff you'd expect, I was singing along to most of it and as for Metallica... they were amazing speaking from the perspective of it being my first time seeing them, they played a shitload of amazing tracks and on top of that played a Queen tribute and even Hit the Lights, easilly the highlight of the event for me. Anyway... I now have work after not sleeping the night before last and only getting six hours sleep last night, this should be interesting... >.>'
  8. GP that looks like one tasty burger! but yeah, like Raining said, egg will help keep it together, looks delicious though.
  9. Happy Birthday guys!
  10. Damn right you are! I'm not... just every few days now, like twice a week, have been away at a festival this weekend so it'll be interesting to see if my weight has changed for better or worse.
  11. I'm sorry to hear about your break-up Sheikah *hugs* I hope things start to look up for you soon.

Hmm do you prefer using a dry shaver though? I know I do and I just guessed that they must be a bit better than a wet shaver because it's less hassle - no foam - and it's very difficult to cut yourself with a dry shaver. The one downside of course though is that you need to clean it regularly - or I do anyway - because of all the stubble that collects in it, ewww. It's not that bad though.

^^^ lol truth... this is why I've always used an electric razor, much less hassle and doesn't irritate as much, and maybe less harmful to the skin? Idk.. I just prefer it anyway.
  14. Just as well that no one takes what Edge say without an almost lethal amount of salt then.
  15. Go for eeeet! Raining recommended Oats So Simple, I tried it a few days ago and I love it so much so that I want it to be breakfast time now... :/
  16. Lost a little bit today but won't give up, just means I've gotta try a bit harder tomorrow.
  17. Wth? I would have thought your mum would understand better than most as you see her regularly so she should have at least an idea of how you're feeling... but more than that, she's your mother, you'd think she'd be a bit more understanding. *hugs Raining* I really hope that the Doctors can help you, it's bad enough that work have you taking on the roles of five people, the stress of that must be immense enough but now it's taking its tole on your health and wellbeing which isn't good at all... :/
  18. I like this current generation, ignoring the hardware issues, on the games front we have had a lot of decent titles, granted not a lot of it is truly original, heck even the games that are hailed as being original aren't really... take Little Big Planet, if it wern't for the creation element it would just be another platform game; the content that can be created with it though is pretty original even if most of it's based on currently existing games etc. But for the most past we have seen it all in previous generations, on the Wii we have Mario and Zelda which are both excellent but not ground breaking on the 360 we have Halo 3... nothing new really just everything on a larger scale and on the PS3 there's MGS which we've had before allbeit this time it's in a different location etc. As for more recently, Tales of Vesperia... an excellent game but I can't help but think back to Tales of Symphonia on the Gamecube as this seemed to be when the 3D tales of... games started to take off, since then it's still rehashing the same template but obviously changing bits here and there. I could go on but I don't feel the need to, all I can say is while this generation has provided me with a lot of excellent games, it has still failed to 'wow' me in the same way that previous generations did.
  19. If it's done in 2D with pseudo 3D bits and impressive pre-rendered backdrops plus in similar style to the old Mickey games then this could be amazing. *reminisces about World of Illusion* ah good times...
  20. I was indeed witness to that call-box phone attacking you in the underground! it seemed to leap off the receiver in an attempt to restrain / strangle you with its cord... fortunately you deftly dodged it, narrowly escaping near death as you rejoined the safety of the group as we then emerged from the underground. You were really lucky Coolness, as you were almost on the receiving end of a somewhat messy fate. :p
  21. Crash sucks! ... .. . Wait... so this isn't a thread where we get to 'bash' Crash for going from perfectly playable platformer to a painfully poor pile of pap? damn... On a serious note, the older Crash games used to be rather good, can't say I've ever played this 'Bash' game but the first three weren't bad at all.

Apparently this is the 'proper' way to pop them... Then theres this method which seems kinda extreme... Then there is this video involving zit popping that is just gross... :/ Yes I You-Tube searched Zit-Popping... >.>

Haha same, I don't get lots but every now and then they appear, usually one at a time, sometimes two, either on my face or the upper arm area... I find it odd though because I do wash regularly but still they just appear. :/ But yeah popping them is always satisfying and anyone who doesn't agree is either lying / in denial I'm not saying that it makes spots 'good' just that purging them in such an 'explosive' manner just feels right.
  24. I believe the 'Less-than-stunning response' was referring to the actual response from the game itself, i.e what people think of it as a game not the sales... Of course the game sold well, it's Resident Evil! people will buy it on name alone, but next time your in games store have a look at the pre-owned section because yesterday I spotted between five and ten pre-owned copies of Resi 5 and this was just in an independant store, lots of people may have bought it but not many decided to keep it. A series reboot is required for the sixth installment, as fun as Resi 5 is, it's just Resi 4, stripped back to a more action orientated title complete with larger set-pieces, some of which don't even fit that well, the co-op is great but it's only to make up for the fact that on a single player 'classic' resi level, it's sorely lacking. As an action game though it's very satisfying.
  25. Pretty much yeah. Wait, what?
