  1. Mhmm... we are indeed cursed by the shit weather that regularly affects our region, but hey! it's not as if it's any big surprise just typical 'Cornish' weather, maybe it'll be clearer tonight though.
  2. This... I'm listening to them through Kef speakers - also a good brand - and I can tell that the recording is off... I've stopped listening to it halfway through because of this, I can tell that there is another decent Radiohead song there but I'll wait until theres a better quality version available that does it some justice. They are truly great but I feel that even though their last album was decent / different that their true best days are now behind them but to a lesser extent... I just really love their older stuff I guess, Fake Plastic Trees...
  3. Dry is indeed a very good album, I read up on Peej on wikipedia and apparently the other two members of her band left after just that one album? Odd but probably for the best as she has evidently come a long way since; I look forward to finding out how far through continued listening.
  4. So I finished listening to Kate Bush' entire discography - yep even the two 'bonus' discs Paj - recently and it was very enjoyable tbh, theres a lot to love about many of her albums.... tracks I'm especially fond of are Wuthering Heights, Hounds of Love, Breathing, Sat in Your Lap, Violin, Symphony in Blue, Mrs Bartolozzi, Pi and Aerial. There are of course others but those are a few that spring to mind. And today I began listening to P.J Harvey starting with 'Dry' and all I have to say is Wow... I was pleasantly surprised, initially I was reminded of Portishead until I became more familiar with her style with each track; it's a pretty decent album too - glad I took your advice Paj and started from her first album - looking forward to listening to 'Rid of Me' next.
  5. Agreed, they should have just kept using standard Xbox cases at least those were useful for putting Xbox games in that come in tin cases so you can access your game quickly without having to take off a plastic sleeve each time... But now that they have a card indentation, the cases are useless to me so I just give them to my local independent retailer so they can use them as display cases.
  6. Inflatable seat is a bad idea... is this a whole new peripheral or just something that goes over the balance board? Because picture this... you buy your new peripheral, inflate it, then a few hours later it pops = useless peripheral, so what's the point?
  7. Kakuna, noooo! you were to become a Beedrill but alas 'twas not to bee... Vote: No Lynch
  8. Oh right, well that's still pretty nice.
  9. So let me get this straight... you paid £299.99 for a PC but instead they gave you a £499.99 widescreen monitor? if so then that's a pretty dweet deal.
  10. Tbf... if you don't have an N64 to hand then you're better off downloading the Virtual Console version as it's the next best thing to the N64 version but it's still a trade off because somewhat rediculously Nintendo STILL haven't found a way to emulate the rumble pak feature, even when using a GC pad... Still, the game runs reliably, I played through the whole of MM again for VC Weekly on the VC version and it didn't crash on me once.
  11. It took me the best part of six seconds to get it... with that said though... Does anyone actually get that joke? or is it just one of those jokes that just doesn't make sense... Edeeet! never mind I found the answer... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080716203439AAKIKen 'The joke is, one nun says "Where's the soap?" and the other nun says, "Yes it does, doesn't it?" The second nun thought she heard: "Wears the soap" as in something she was doing to the soap caused it to wear down...' So there we have it...
  12. Ah right, thanks for that it does sound interesting in that case but... the track-list, though I recognise some of the tracks, the majority of them I'm not actually that fussed about but being that it's just for the OST and not to play GH / RB style I can see how it would still work well with the nature of the game.
  13. MGS : TTS only happened because Nintendo had good ties with Konami and Silicon Knights at the time, currently though Konami are plugging shovelware on the Wii and Silicon Knights are too busy pissing about with their 'precious' Too-Human trilogy. Also the original MGS remake was warranted at the time because it was after MGS2 came out and so they improved the PS1 graphics drastically and the gameplay quite majorly by adding in MGS 2 elements to MGS but bringing MGS/2/3 to Wii? There really is no advantage in doing so... if people want to play them that badly, they will get them for PS2 but to play them again on the Wii would be pointless.
  14. Indeed, it was awesome! ^^
  15. Well the Cluedo evidently didn't translate too well, so better to focus on what allready works well and is proven to be popular I guess? (pokemafia) That sucks Wolfy *hugs* I hope they get it all sorted out quickly for you.
  16. Sign me up! please...
  17. So how's it gonna play? wander around adventuring for a bit and then every so often play a Guitar Hero style song to advance... I don't quite get it but it sounds potentially awesome.
  18. Could be any number of things, you mentioned that you wrap them around your iPod so it could be connector strain or it could be that somehow the iPod is breaking the headphones but I don't see how that's possible... All I know is that I store my iPod and headphones in a case when not in use with the iPod in one half of the case and loosely coiled headphones in the other half - disconnected from the iPod obv - and haven't had any problems.
  19. *sigh* topic derailment much? Back on-topic... this game has potential to be a big seller, there are many - including myself - who have yet to play a Monster Hunter game and from the looks of things this sounds like the ideal entry point not to mention a strong contender for being the best incarnation yet of it. Hopefully Europe will be getting similar treatment to Japan with regards to hardware bundles because this clearly could well be an excellent system seller.
  20. Nah, it is useful but only if you use the skill, shortcutting recipes allows you to cook stuff at the end of each battle, topping up your HP / MP and even start the next battle with slightly enhanced battle status, the only downside is that you have to keep buying ingredients unless you just wait until you happen to pick some up. On the subject of the Wonder-Chef I was a bit dissapointed too... also a let down is there doesn't seem to be as many recipes as there were in Symphonia? I could be wrong though but it seems that way atm. [/Off Topic]
  21. It's not bad... but quite a few of those tracks are also in RB / GH and so are null and void, but yeah there are some good tracks in that list.
  22. Happy Birthday Mcj Metroid! ^^
