Happy Birthday Dannyboy!
-
Apologies for the delay in writing/publishing VC Weekly recently, what with the site re-launch and me falling ill over the past week everything apart from work seems to have been put to one side, I know like all N-Europe staff we only work here purely volutarily but it still doesn't mean that I don't feel bad when things don't go to plan. Anyway, I'm starting to feel much better today and with the help of my fellow staff members we're going to get things back on track. : peace:

S.C.G replied to Mokong's topic in Other Consoles
Oh I agree, still though... just glad I saved myself some diappointment and gained an extra hour or two of sleep. -

Still though... two games that were actually worth seeing the conference for means that barely 15 mins of it was actually worth watching, personally I'd be pretty annoyed if I'd stayed up for that. -

Ahahaha! I'm so glad I didn't bother to stay up for what sounded like it was an absolute trainwreck of a show with The Last of Us being the only 'survivor' as it were... :p ... now to go and watch the new trailer for it and ready my body for Nintendo's conference! -
As would I... but I couldn't help but pre-empt what they might do with the IP using kinect. :p Lets be honest though, what we'd all really like to see from Rare is Killer Instinct 3, Perfect Dark 2 or even Banjo Threeie. Oh and an XBLA re-release of Jet Force Gemini wouldn't go amiss either.

Coming soon to Xbox 360 Kinect... Viva Pinata : Beatdown the game in which you literally smash open the entire Viva Pinata cast into a gooey mess of chocolate, candy and papier mache. Hunt down and destroy more than 151 different pinatas including all of your old favourites plus a whole load more that you didn't ask for! Collect and trade Pinata data online over Xbox Live to add more of the little critters to your death-trap err... garden to complete your collection, gotta smash 'em all! Also includes 'classic mode' which allows you to hang Hudson the horse and then smash him apart using more than 64 different whacking stick motions, also includes a plastic whacking stick and a Viva Pinata branded blindfold for the most authentic Pinata 'Pwning' experience. Viva Pinata : Beatdown from Rare will launch on July 6 2012 worldwide, pre-order the limited edition now to secure your Pinata packaging which will house the game, stick, blindfold and enough sour candy to make you physically sick! Viva Pinata : Beatdown... if you can't 'join' them then 'beat' them! :p

After watching the trailer all I have to say about the battle system is... ... Tales of Devil May Cry? :p I like how you can switch between guns and blades but its done in such a way that a comparison between it and DMC - at elast where combat is concerned - is unavoidable, I do like it though. However I guess it's all pretty immaterial for us Europeans as we didn't see the first game so I'm assuming we won't see this one because if we were getting it then they'd need to release the first one surely? Ah well... if enough people purchase the day 1 edition of Tales of Graces F then maybe.

3DS Patent Covers Vibrating Stylus, New Kinds of Control
S.C.G replied to madeinbeats's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Vibrating stylus + Metroid... ... the possibilities are endless. -
*sigh* didn't they learn from the last reboot?
-
I heard it's because they don't like the coffee there... ... too hot.

And not forgetting... Also...

Happy Birthday Canand and Ellmeister!

Happy Birthday Charlie!

I think they just wanted to rush it out just before E3... ... with that said I'm more than confident that I'll be willing to forgive them in a week.
-
Yeah you can, I'm sure I've seen it floating around on the eShop under the DSiWare section.
-
Besides there's already a game of the same name which came out a long time ago which I'd still play in preference even to this day... ^ Now that was what I call a real game! :p visually impressive for its time, fun to play and tough as nails, those were the days....

Despite it being not the 'greatest' Zelda game I still found it to be ones of the best games of last year, it had me hooked from start to finish which is more than I can say for other 'AAA' titles that failed to inspire me to play more than a few hours in.
-
Hmm all this backlash about the chance shots got me thinking... now that 3DS games can be patched is it not possible for Nintendo to patch-in an option to turn them off? I know it's unlikely but it's at least possible surely.
-
Well... niggles aside I still think the game is worth buying for the Super Mario Bros mini-game alone.
-
Not bad... probably won't stay that price though I'm guessing so I'm glad I decided to get the digital version plus the nearest HMV to me is a good few miles away, but it's ideal if you live near one.
-
If you buy it as a download though do you still get a network pass with it or is that seperate? Because the network pass is £7.99... Edit - nvm... just checked and it's included Downloading! seems like a great deal - get it while it's cheap if it is a mistake! - only takes up just over a gig too so can easily fit on even the smallest capactity memory card, though admitedly I'm gonna now have to think about getting a larger capacity memory card now... after E3 of course.

Happy Birthday Chairdriver! I hope you had a truly stunning one.

Hmm might as well do that seeing as my copy is more than likely due to arrive today seeing as ShopTo posted it yesterday.
