  1. Because i didn't want to rate it. Unless i'm missing some hidden text, the thread makes no mention of the exact song above that needs to be rated. Your opinion is pretty standard for someone i'm guessing doesn't play an instrument (to any decent standard). You have to be pretty artistic to be able to put together a song like that. Any schmuck can put lyrics to a few chords, not many can do it to a piece like that. It really isn't very loud, sure it's louder than Pixie Lott or Bjork but he's singing, not shouting in anyway.
  2. Awesome news. The cynic in me questions wether it's just to finish it off so they don't have to renew it, but then I counter that argument (in my head of course) with it doing quite well. It's not exactly like NBC have much to choose from at the moment anyway.
  3. Hey man, you still idle in IRC? I spent far too many hours in that place.
  4. I'm going to something out of the ordinary. I'm to to rate the song two posts above this. Daniel Dare, that song is just so epic in so many ways. It's such a simple structure but the lyrics really strike a chord (lol) with me. That song also happened to come on my iPod as I was on the subway on my way to visit said city that song is named after, true dat. There's just something about listening to a Boss song that makes me want to smear engine oil all over me and put on a boiler suit. Not usually my sort of cup of tea, but I first heard it on the soundtrack to NHL 10 and it's just a really inspiring song.
  5. Make it happen. Now.
  6. To be fair, Torres still has more goals from open play this season than Rooney. The guy has never had a chance to fully recover from the various injuries he's had before being thrown back in at the deep end and expected to single handedly win every Liverpool game. David Villa aside, In the EPL, Torres has a better goal to game ratio than Tevez, Drogba or Rooney. He is a better striker than all of them. Besides Drogba, the other two aren't out and out goalscorers.
  7. I probably won't be on. But then again I might be.
  8. I've got two nieces. The Uncle feeling soon wares off.
  9. Leave off Big Mac, aye it was a terrible bit of marking but he'd had a decent game till then and did win us our only match so far!
  10. A CV is absolutely no time to be modest. Make yourself out to be far more awesome than you are.
  11. I was actually thinking of making an opposite thread for great trophies, so you could post about how much you like coop trophies because of the great help you've recently received. Before that, it was like running around in circles.
  12. I'm not really a fan of Coop trophies as I can never find any decent players who can keep up with me.
  13. I'll just post my the thoughts I expressed on Facebook. An absolute disgrace. i'm sick of hearing every Scotland side being described as 'Honest', 'Brave' and 'Hardworking', we're a national football side, not a fucking black and decker power tool. We couldn't even muster 1 shot on target during the entire game. Levein clearly has no idea what he's doing, did Mackie even touch the ball? What's gonna be his tactics for Tuesday, 22 players behind the ball. LEVEIN OUT.
  14. There are a few clubs in town that ID everyone, regardless of how old you look. I don't get ID'd that often. I'm very rarely clean shaven or at least have the sideburns on the go, which helps I always tell myself. I only really get ID'd if i'm out with some friends that look a bit on the young side, Bouncers obviously think that because they look a bit young, i must be too. Doesn't bother me getting ID'd, I certainly don't see the point in getting offended by it; you can't help how old you look, so why worry about it.
  15. Thinking about it in general is ok anytime, planning for it however shouldn't be done any earlier than late November at a push.
  16. My mum asked me what I'd like the other day and I said, "Christ woman check the calendar, there's still 3 months to go." That applies here.
  17. I walked into a tree this morning and knocked myself out, head injuries are no fun. Glad to hear you survived.
  18. That opinion is absolutely fine.
  19. I well up at the end of Turner and Hooch, no matter how many times i've seen it.

    Travel

New York was pretty sweet. I don't think you ever truly appreciate how awesome it looks for the first time. Yeah, you've seen it millions of times on TV but until you actually witness that Manhattan Skyline, It's stunning. I'm currently debating next year's travel. Gonna have a few little trips but my main holiday will either be to the US or Canada. I'm fancying Chicago, Boston, Toronto or Vancouver at the moment, but it's constantly changing.
  21. I've kinda had the same experience. My uncle was a looser nobody who threw away all the chances my family gave him, yet it obviously never stopped my mum caring about her brother. One day we went over to his flat because he hadn't been seen or heard from in months. There was no sign of him so I had to break down the door. It was then that the worst smell i've ever smelled in my life, hard to describe but definitely something you don't forget. I found him in his bedroom, his head had been caved in against a wall and his body was almost half decomposed. It was literally like something off of bones but with more flesh. Police estimated he'd been dead for months.
  22. It wasn't exactly cheap but I loved this show back in the day and it still ranks very highly with me.
  23. I'm sorry to deviate from the subject of this thread but i saw Kick-Ass last night and I fucking loved it. It was anything but dissapointing. And Lyndsy Fonseca.......Yes.
  24. Can't be bothered reading what everyone else has said, so i'll just state my 2 cents. Obviously there is no justification for what the guy did and he should be locked up. Nowadays, though you really have to watch what you say to people in town. Being drunk is not an excuse because you never know how someone is going to take something. Let's make it clear i'm not defending the thug, more trying to get across the point that you need to be sensible nowadays. We don't live in a perfect world where people always see the funny side. To you It might have seemed like your mate was being but funny, but to a stranger it comes across as being a dickhead. The guy should never have done what he did but why take the risk? If he had just told him that he didn't know in a civilised manner, you wouldn't have had blood stains on your jeans.
  25. I definitely wouldn't like it, fair enough if it's in a pretty big company and you're not really going to see each other but I'd prefer to keep my work life separate from my personal.
