You'd probably not be surprised at how many times I was asked this in America. They were all convinced it was in a town called Scotland.

Depends on what i've been doing before hand. Nothing worse than feeling sweaty feet that isn't caused by the act of love making itself.
-
Fairytale of New York, obviously.

Anyone fancy some games tonight? I've not played in a good while.

With mobile phone in hand. "I got my picture taken with REM last night". "That's me in the corner".

Your life wuld be an ever bigger hole of self hate and crippling self doubt if it wasn't for the sweet sweet 40 minuntes of evil chasing the show provides every week?
-
In your opinion. Obviously it isn't the best, but it's all subjective at the end of the day. Regardless what the so called experts say.

Has to be Tom Welling over Brandon Routh. Every time I see Routh, I just wonder why farmer is playing Superman.
-
New thread please, I think this series deserves at least that.

I love Transformers. Yes, the second was shit but it was still Transformers so it was all good too me. I'm a bit anxious about this one and the trailer isn't helping. For a major action movie, it's one of the worst trailers i've ever seen.

I haven't watched any of Season 5 yet, so i'm a little behind. I always wait for the DVD to come out and then have a mini marathon until i'm up to date. I love everything about the show. Dean Winchester is easily my favourite character on TV and the music in the show whilst few and far between, is always top notch. The car rocks too.

Has anyone else been having problems getting deliveries from Amazon. Obviously the snow has delayed things but over waiting over a week for first class isn't normal.

You should have left it Jay, if they make a change to your contract that you don't agree with, by law they have to give you 13 weeks notice to change it. Better in your pocket than in theirs.

Unfortunately, any good done by making Foo Fighters a headline act would be undone by having Blink 182 as another so hopefully that rumour doesn't turn out to be true. I hardly think I took it out of context. You should make it more clearer next time that you're talking about your personal view and not trying to speak for everyone else.
-
Really? Haven't followed it all. Good stuff then. Absolute nonsense about Blink 182, I really can't be arsed to argue your point, suffice to say it's nonsense. They've every right to be there.

Think i'll probably head to T in The Park this year. No headliners announced yet but it's strongly rumoured to be Foo Fighters and Blink 182. Biffy are absolutely epic live, one of the best bands i've ever seen. They put on some performance, incredible energy.

Emma Stone is already in character.

I've bought nothing yet and my brother, who i can normally count on to be even less prepared than I am has bought almost all his presents. I keep getting asked what I'd like, and I don't even know that. Meh.

Pffft, Halloween isn't the only day for dressing in costumes

Yeah that's very true. For some reason the change of a timeslot makes it very difficult for a viewer to pick up the remote and change the channel All I was trying to say really was that you have too look at show ratings that air on Friday nights subjectively.
-
The reason why every show looses viewers is simple, most people tend to go out on Friday nights. Obviously not everyone, but the majority won't put off a social outing to stay home and watch 45 mins of TV. It hasn't changed for any show on a Friday night for 20 years, I doubt will anytime soon. Yes, shows will loose the casual viewers but I'd be surprised if the third of viewers that Smallville lost were all casual. I'm not saying the ratings should be ignored, simply trying to explain why they are how they are. The one hard and fast rule on TV is that Friday nights is a no no. You can't compare it to a Tuesday/Thursday or any other day that carries major network original programming. It's why the networks don't put their best shows on that day, only ones facing the axe or in Smallvilles case on the way out.
-
Yes, but you have to take it in the right context that you're completely missing. Ignore me, but look at any other respected TV analyst or entertainment website or even this and they will all say the same thing about Friday nights, There's a reason it's the worse viewed night of the week. I'm not giving excuses because by normal standards, Smallville was still lowly rated on other nights compared to other networks shows, but by CW standards it's highly rated. My point is you can't help but have some context when looking at shows on Friday nights, the show hasn't suddenly dropped a million viewers because it's become shit.. The ratings system being flawed is another tangent completely.
-
Well no. It's the reason the show is seen as a success even though it's viewing figures are vastly down from Thursdays nights, because it's still ging steady even though it's on Fridays now. It's not a one show example, it's the trend from every show that has ever aired on Friday nights. It's why it seen a sign of a show going out the door if it's moved to Friday nights.
-
I'd prefer to be classed as a pessimistic waster, thanks.
-
Correct but those are fasle ratings if you like, since Smallville was moved to Fridays and we all know how few people watch TV on Fridays! Check the ratings for when it was on Thursday nights and that was against the two biggest shows on TV at the time, Greys and CSI.
