  1. Lulz I never said I like Athlete. I do though.
  2. I think i'd be more inclined to see a reform of the NHS before scrapping it. You talk to doctors and nurses and they always say the same thing, too many management and bureaucracy. If we could put an end to that, perhaps we'd see patient care improve and waiting times decline. There's definitely a lot that could be done too improve the NHS, i've always just seen it as being such a defining feature of being British. That's obviously not a reason too keep something but I just think it's part of the national identidy. I am however not blind enough to think it's perfect.
  3. I think your Health Policy needs some serious work. You can't have have cost efficient insurance for everyone, when everyone is so different, especially if you're not taking into account pre existing conditions like you say. I like the views on Organ donation, totally agree with that. It seems like a very US system and it's not something I agree with at all. Privatising hospitals is not a good idea, how closely would they follow government guidelines? Private hospitals won't make much money if they have to treat everyone basically as they already do as you're saying everyone will be entitled to Health Insurance. I see it collapsing fairly quickly. I am a staunch NHS supporter and having had experience of the misery of other's countries medical systems, people in this country don't know how good they have it, in terms of health care.
  4. I thought this thread was about the Athlete album, Black Swan. Alas, I was incorrect.
  5. I like putting Fish Fingers in sandwiches.
  6. I don't think it's necessarily that. Bard makes a great point about mindset. I think too many of us see these people as average Joe's in the way that they think. They don't get up on a Sunday, watch some Hollyoaks Omnibus, eat some Corn Flakes and then reach for the rope or the bottle of pills. There's something clearly fundamentally wrong in they way that they think or process things. Is it a genetic thing? some people can just take any bad hit life throws at them and keep on dancing whilst others are defeated after one bad thing. I don't think the 'man-up' mentality is wrong in some cases. As i've previously said, it's hard to criticise some cases of suicide i've seen but in others I will, and having personally been affected by it, i've every right too. Life is so precious and I think we all too easily take it for granted. Suicide isn't all Black and White (lolz) it's a pretty Grey area, every case is different.
  7. I've got to fly down to London tomorrow for a course on Thursday and I really can't be arsed. Anything in particular to do in London that will kill a few hours? Don't have that much time for sightseeing.
  8. I was at the game that Goodwillie has scored the late equaliser in (the game he was out celebrating, even though it was a fucking draw.) and the abuse he was getting was unreal. It's gonna be worth the entrance fee alone next time he's up.
  9. It's normally TGI Fridays or Frankie and Bennies. I used to go to Chiquitos quite often but haven't been in a good while. I tried Wendy's when I was in NYC and it was rank, just a Burger King copy. Not much of a restaurant, but you can't beat a Subway now and again.
  10. My uncle also killed himself, so I've seen it from the selfish perspective. I suppose it all comes down to personal circumstance. I don't think you can ever rationalise people killing themselves but I've definitely seen cases where I think to myself, if I were in their shoes, I'd do the same thing. Who am I to call someone with Huntington's disease (a disease that will render someone without the basic functions that make us human beings) selfish because they don't want to turn into a shell of their former self. Yet I read in the paper about some 14 year old twat who killed herself because her boyfriend changed his facebook status to single. It's a fine line indeed.
  11. I've always had a similar view point to you but after reading this, It changed somewhat.
  12. I loved XIII, so a sequel sounds good to me. Just hope Vanille or the voice actor who played her are no where to be seen.
  13. If it's something i'm a big fan off, i'll always rewatch it when it's maybe on TV or if i'm in a particular mood to watch it. I quite like going back and watching the pilot episode of a TV show and se how different it was then to what it is nor, or what it finished up as.
  14. This is why bringing back certain threads would be a decent idea. Is this really worthy of it's own thread?
  15. They're no such thing as decent free music making program. Can't look past Garageband if you learn to use it properly.
  16. I used Hope until the end of the story missions and then changed to Vanille for her win Saboteur skills. My part almost entirely consisted of Lightning, Fang and Vanille, though I did use Snow for quite a while when it came to Turtle farming.
  17. Does he fuck Lyndsy Fonseca's Brains out too?
  18. I can type properly quicker than that.
  19. Vanille and Hope in the same party? That would drive me insane. It was bad enough having to listen to Vanille dribble all the time, the both of them would have sent me over the edge. Also the fact that if you're using both of them, you're gonna miss out on Fang or Lighting.
  20. I used to love this show growing up. I use to spend copious amounts of hours every day dreaming about ways to take out the rest of the Rangers to leave me alone with the Pink Ranger (Amy Jo Johnson), I always thought Jason was too cool for school. My brother always used to call Billy the Gay Ranger, turned out he wasn't wrong. I often shout to myself IT'S MORPHIN' TIME when i'm getting changed.
  21. Carol Hathaway Julianna Margulies is awesome.
  22. Mostly General and Other Consoles and Tech, I'll occasionally scope out the creative board from time to time.
  23. Have you tried Amazon.com? i've gotten a few off there in the past.
