  1. Yes, I lose about 3 pounds every week (about 45 pounds in total so far).
  2. I wasn't even referring to 'official' ways. There's always tickets available from people desperate to flog them and the majority for the same price as buying from Ticketmaster. Last time I got tickets, I bought them for 3 quarters the price of normal sale.
  3. Who actually does aerobic exercises for burning calories? The whole reason I do them is to develop the muscles and make them stronger and progress can be noticed very quickly. Just doing 3 x 30 reps of Press Ups every other day for the past few months has really toned up my arms.
  4. Really? I've always found it very easy to get tickets. Never had a problem in the past.
  5. Coldplay have just been announced as the Headliners for the Saturday at TITP 11.
  6. I can't say i've ever done parkour, so you've got me there but cycling is pretty similar to running in what muscles your taxing. I also play football on Tuesdays and Sundays. I don't really lift weights, i'm more into doing reps of Press-ups, Sit-ups, abdominal curls, etc. I've cut out eating chocolate and fizzy drinks and all that jazz and I haven't really missed it at all and looking back over the past months, all that running in the howling rain has really payed off.
  7. If this wasn't mid week I'd go down to it. As it is, it would be a bit expensive with flights and hotel stay. At least with weekend kickoffs I can catch a late flights back home.
  8. I doubt it. I've got a pretty physical job, must walk about 10 miles a day, I run 15 miles a week and work out on other days and I'm never really tired.
  9. My diet basically consists of Cornflakes with 2 x brown toast for breakfast, 2 brown bread rolls and 6 Rich - T biscuits for lunch and something like Chicken or Spaghetti Bolognese for dinner. I don't snack at all, that is all I eat.
  10. I actually heard the Blowside cover of Pokerface before hearing the original version. Suffice to say, I was thoroughly unimpressed when I heard the original one.
  11. It brings people together, Sport is a universal language across the world. No matter how rich or how poor, everyone can be involved and have an opinion. There's nothing like the buzz of kickoff or the countdown to the final off something, and that's just watching it on the TV. Being in a stadium with thousands of passionate screaming fans is an experience that is unparalleled. Human beings at the very basic level are competitive, and sport is just a natural extension of that. I can't really put into words what sport means to me. It's a way of life.
  12. Still coming to terms with that result. Even at half time I said we weren't out of it. Had some great play that was let down by slightly heavy pass or two. I shit myself repeatedly at the offside trap we were playing, it failed a few times but the Defence was absolutely awesome through out. I thought Song was little unlucky to get booked for his first tackle and it was touch and go for me every time he came near a Barca player. Wilshere was top class, completely outplayed Iniesta and Xavi. Obviously only half a job done, but fuck me i'm proud of this team.
  13. If he Gijon can match the mighty Barca, it's not a forgone conclusion that we can't.
  14. Rubbish. I've seen him play hundreds of times from Rangers to Salernitana to Milan and he's never been excellent, he's never been anything other than a little runt, who does nothing but run about like a headless chicken. He was far outplayed today by Palacios who did the midfield engine job brilliantly and didn't feel the need to make a complete prick of himself and a laughing stock of his team. You seem to forget about the players he's played with, they won all those titles, not him. Every team needs a player to get stuck in and drive their team but most of those players also offered something else. It was astonshing how much time he wastes arguing with everyone instead of just getting on with the game, no other player in world football does that. Fair play to the lad, he's achieved an amazing amount in his career but people are far too easily confused with hard work and determination being skill, it's not. Any idiot can do what he does.
  15. He's the biggest joke in football. How he's made a career playing for one of the top clubs in football is beyond me. I just about fell off my chair when I saw that Captain's armband round his arm.
  16. He says that when they win, it's a whole different story if he didn't get his allotted Fergie time or a decision didn't go their way. Did anyone hear Martin Tyler on commentary during the Utd vs City game? I just about pissed myself when he mentioned Fergie time.
  17. It's really worth watching McCarthy's post match interview, absolute classic. From the highlights, Walcott looked immense, just as you say missed a couple of great chances. The second goal has to be a contender for goal of the season, something like 6 one touch passes down the field for RVP to score.

The Pens vs Islanders game on Friday wasn't so much a game as it was a royal rumble. It finished 9-3 to the Islanders but both teams combined to record 346 penalty minutes, 15 fighting majors and 21 misconducts. It's led to several Islander players being suspended. Trevor Gillies was suspended for 9 games for delivering an elbow and throwing several punches at the head of Eric Tangradi, which has left him with a concussion. Martin was suspended for 4 games for for being a complete fag and throwing punches from behind to Max Talbot. Pens Eric Godard was giving an automatic 10 game suspension for leaving the bench to join in a fight and help out a team mate. This game was something else, the 3rd period especially, it was just insane. I don't blame Godard at all for leaving the bench to come and help out his team mates. The downside though, is we've not lost another two players to injury/suspension and we're now down 9 forwards.
  19. Compared to the way City played in the first derby, it couldn't have a more contrasting performance. The only time Man Utd were on top was just after the goal, City had the better of the start and a little period after their goal. Although, I don't think too many people would argue with a point being fair.
  20. Can't say enough about the winning goal, absolute top class. Bit unlucky for City, they were the better of the two teams over the whole of the match but Utd still found a way to get the points.
  21. Hmm, poses an interest question. 1. Paul Gross 2. Bruce Springsteen 3. Thierry Henry 4. Zinedine Zidane 5. Eric Clapton 6. Scott Bakula 7. Sophia Bush 8. Alice Eve 9. Sarah Chalke 10. Shiri Appleby 11. Yvonne Strahovski 12. Minka Kelly. That company would keep me occupied for a course or two.
  22. I've not got any pictures of serious injuries but the worst was definitely tearing my Anterior Cruciate Ligament in my left knee. What happened to Jimmy Bullard in this video is basically identical to what happened to me, but on let leg. It was by far the most pain i've ever felt in my life, and i can still remember the tearing sound I heard as the ligament snapped. The only way to repair an ACL is to graft on a new ligament from somewhere else on your body or from a deceased person. I had to wait a week for all the swelling to go down before they could operate but they always operate fairly quickly because the rehab is so long. I got the operation and was in Hospital for 4 days, I was on crutches for 3 months whilst doing Physio and ROM exercises to keep the knee from locking up. After about 6 months, the new ligament was attached to the bone, so I could full rehabbing, including running again. I'd say it took probably about 14 months to feel anyway near confident putting the leg through any stress. I don't think you're ever 100% confident in it again, there's always that little worry in the back of your mind when going in for a big tackle or turning to quickly. It really isn't a nice thing, it's a very sobering process having to learn to walk again.
  23. Good result for us tonight. I think it's a great time to be Scottish, this is by far the best nucleus of players we've ever had. The established stars are all fairly young (Adam, Brown, Dorrans, Morrison, Gordon, Hutton, etc) and there's another generation younger than them coming through (Bannan, Wilson, etc). It's just a shame England aren't in this competition, i'd really fancy our chances against them. We're obviously not as individually talented but we play better as a team. Just hope Levein learns how to set us up properly for big games (ie 4-6-0 vs The Czechs.
  24. Been working my way through buying Bruce Springsteen's catalogue, bought and listened to Nebraska, Born to Run and Darkness on the Edge of Town. He's just so inspirational, it's hard to describe what his music does for people. It's not music, it's a way of life.
