From the wonder that is forbidden planet!
-
I'm not fuming that I brought the motion plus add on, if anything I prefer the remote that way, its better for my large, monkey hands to grasp. Do I regret getting Motion Plus in the first place though? Erm, yes. I got it with Wii Sports Resort and was blown away, not only by the game but the new possibilities and assumed that loads of new Motion Plus games would be announced pretty soon. It's a year later and nothing note worthy (in my opinion) has used it, other than Red Steel which isn't my kind of game anyway. Hopefully after the release of Zelda more developers will be inclined to use the tech

Being a huge fan of the original Country games and being (what I can imagine to be one of the only) Rare fanboys I'm wary that this will stray too far from the originals. I'm already cynical about the new Rambi look, not to mention the lack of Kremlins. If music from the original games is featured though, then colour me excited. Just listening to some of the remixes/orchestral songs on here is getting me all nostalgic!

I've seen this video before but it's still hilarious watching it a second time 'round! Though that one guy does look crazily like Seth Green... is this some kind of sketch or something? After all, some of these people do seem a bit too weird to be true.

I would elect the first person to meet and greet said aliens to be Justin Bieber, he just seems to get along with most people, ones not wielding bottles of water that is. Really though, I've never heard of such a pointless job! As most of you have said, if aliens did come to earth, what would the likeliness be of this person going to greet them and why would the aliens care/understand anyway?
-
That alien prank was so nasty :P I don't know what I would have done if that happened to me, I certainly wouldn't have had the balls to offer it a cup of tea despite how fake it looked :p As she said, i'd be too 'in the moment' to realise how stupidly fake it looked! I agree with all of you though, space is a truly fascinating place, I took a look at the website 'Hubble' and some of those pictures are just incredible!

This is just celebrating the first 5/6 years of Super Mario, not the last 25 years.
-
That video was amazing! But also goes to show that if this Mario collection is going to do the series justice, it must include Mario 64 and Mario World too! (and possibly Sunshine, though I'm not sure it would be possible with disc space)

I really liked Glee to begin with but it started to get quite samey by the end of the first season so I'm not too enthusiastic about season 2! The same applies to the songs really, I liked most of the mixes at the start of the show but by the end the quality seemed to dip.

I'd be totally up for this though I'm completely lost for ideas right now

I have played Excitebots and it's just as good, if not slightly better! At first I was wary, it seems a bit too insane, but once you've gotten used to getting a "SUPER SANDWICH" and scoring goals mid race or playing the traingle whilst trying to bash other bots out of the way, you realise that it's so great because of how crazy and quirky it is. The best bit though? The fact it's online! It's a pretty robust online system, you can get into a race pretty quickly with no lag! The only thing missing from this is weirdly, no SD card support for music or any of those achievements from the first - I wonder why they removed it?
-
Yes, yes, yes! NiGHTS will always stand as one of my favourite Wii games, despite the few flaws it has - It's so magical and just oozes with classic Sega charm!
-
I loved this game! So much so that I actually got Super Excite and most of the trophies (because I'm so lazy that I don't end up completing most games :P) I fully agree with K-Project, it's one of the best Wii games out there despite being one of the first. What I also find is that it's one of the most... polished Wii games. Considering this came out so early on, I only wish more Wii games had followed in it's footsteps. SD Card support for music playback in races, unlockable trophies... the only thing this is missing is an online mode!

If they'd have done that with the Wii they'd have probably gone the same way as Sega

The event had some pretty neat collectables (but weirdly you couldn't buy anything ) I wasn't too fussed though because I got my metal Sonic! There were some pretty awesome cosplayers too including ULALA but i'll put them in the Summer of Sonic thread, I don't wanna go off topic! xD I'll upload some pictures later! I was 'gonna do it now but they're not working for some reason D:
-
I was cautious but it really does seem that after all this time they have made a great 3D Sonic game, the buzz surrounding it was incredible. It certainly stole the limelight from Sonic 4 which was very surprising!
-
Got my metal sonic from Summer of Sonic today! Very pleased indeed
-
Played 2 levels of Sonic Colours at Summer of Sonic today! It's fluid, with great controls and fantastic graphics! It's fast, fun and adds new elements whilst keeping some of the core gameplay that made the original games so great. This is the best Sonic game I've played since Sonic Adventure! The hour long wait in a stuffy, hot room was worth it xD

Mighty epic, though I'm sure a lot will disagree.

http://www.t3.com/news/wii-2-nintendo-plotting-?=47737 Satoru Iwata cannot comment on the Wii2 in fear of being copied but it is being developed (which was obvious) It does beg the question though, if Nintendo are worried about being copied then they must have something new on the cards? I wonder what they will do next. I assumed the Wii2 would be the Wii but with improved motion controls and graphics but by the sounds of it, it could be something completely different.

I used to have a terrible diet, not give a crap about what calories I was having and generally... eating what I wanted at that given time. Burgers, subways, chocolates... Then I decided to get a healthier diet because I didn't want to be chubby :P Like with most things I do, when I set my mind to it, I go overkill. I had a breakfast which consisted of a glass of orange juice and shreddies, a dinner of tuna sandwiches or salad and tea which was usually pasta or rice with something. I had no snacks in between, lost weight (surprisingly fast) and felt brilliant. I felt so much more energised and the fact that everyone I knew kept making a point of "oh you look great" was really amazing. I've kept it up until about a month ago because I was getting a bit too thin and now I'm a mixture of old and new habits. I stick to the healthy diet that I made for myself but also have the odd pot noodle, chocolate and what not. I've also been going out to restaurants about once a week to keep in touch with friends - All you can eat at pizza hut is a killer! It's so nice being able to scoff all of that pizza but I feel so awful afterwards xD
-
Man. At the end of every sentence, it's an awful habit and I don't know how it came along, I sound like a mid 90s surfer boy. "How's your day been, man?" "I was so pissed off today man" "holy shit man, it's so hot today" I actually want to kill myself. Luckily when I type, I can stop myself.
-
I could never get into DKC3, the second is by far the best! I completed it countless times on my SNES but only got up to the 'Bee/rollercoaster' place on my Wii, which is my favourite. BRAMBLE BLAST FTW
-
Well you've all done a good job of putting me off :P I'm still going regardless, I've already booked my train tickets! If it's terrible at least I'll have got a metal sonic and can spend the day in London instead!
