  1. Watch Dogs looks like it was commissioned through a Labour Party focus test. Why would you pick that over Bloodborne or The Witcher?
  2. Oh you should have said hello - I was travelling back to Swindon with my mama having said goodbye to my sister in London.
  3. Written out of history. @Marcamillian - Was it you who was talking about your friend's difficulty in curating a games museum? Was interested in hearing more about that because I think we went off on a tangent at the time. (if not it might have been Zell or Dcubed)
  4. Might be able to catch up with everyone in the evening on Saturday, depending on where you are.
  5. Watch @The Bard struggle to climb a tree? And savour the moment his ego takes a dent
  6. Tell me if I'm spamming, but felt like I had to post this:
  7. Some of these goals are fucking filthy
  8. Couldn't help myself - when someone you don't really know posts fatuous crap on Facebook
  9. S'all about that purple boost. The game is so much greater than the sum of its parts.
  10. Played this with pals for about 4 hours straight last night. It's perfectly tweaked SARPBC and is an absolute riot, there's no way it should be as fun as it is, or as enduring, but somehow it keeps you coming back for more. Everyone screams for attention when the replays roll in, moreso than in any FIFA match I've played. Infectious.
  11. I played Chase the Sun for a couple of hours with friends, taking turns to set high-scores and complete challenges. Nothing that remarkable about the game but it did make me yearn for a new WipEout. The minimalist, ultra-sharp visuals were really striking and even trippy in some levels, the hardware is crying out for StudioLiverpool to reform.
  12. The Uncharted games are solidly made, fun, and graphically ridiculous. Superficial, true, but worth buying for the spectacle. 3's multiplayer was superb.
  13. If it leads to quirky games that would have been too risky to develop through normal means, it's a completely sound idea. If they started doing it for games like Uncharted and they requested £60 backings, then maybe I'd suspect foul play. But that isn't what's happening. LOL it isn't' for either, hence tech thread *grabs coat*
  14. Telling the truth this time - an extension of the previous demo footage has been released. Unsane. UNCREDIBLE.
  15. Wait, so are you guys saying the live demo... ....unravelled?
  16. Looks so much better than the trailer let on. VATS is smoother (makes sense for it to be slow-mo rather than freeze-frame), fort-building looks great, let's just hope they do something interesting with the story.
  17. LOL. I'm excited but I don't expect Bethesda to have kept up with the times. It'll be a new engine and they'll have played things safe with the gameplay side of things. Hopefully they've done something interesting on the art design side.
  18. Now that everyone's had a solid amount of time with this - is Bloodborne as good as Demon's/Dark Souls, and how does the difficulty level compare?
  19. I've been wrecking on the PS3 version recently. ND have scammed a fair few quid from me with the new guns and perks. 2 classes which I've been enjoying (skill points in brackets): Pistol only loadout: silenced burst pistol (3), covert training 2 (4)(STANDARD!), scavenger 2 (4) and gunslinger 1 (2) - Playing pistol-only with any other sidearm is a ball-ache, but this setup works well. Best to use the pistol at close-medium ranges, and navigate the map accordingly. The pistol's stagger effect really helps to throw off enemy gunfire if you get the first shot in. The copious amounts of ammo you gain from scavenger and gunslinger (more ammo at spawn) means you hardly have to spend parts on ammo, allowing you to invest in upgrades instead, ergo - ridiculous range and clip size for a beastly pistol. Having only one weapon simplifies things because you don't get caught deliberating between weapons, and the reload is rapid, so landing those crucial executions isn't as difficult as you might think (and they are of course always silent). Once you get the burst weapon technique down (target upper body and let the bullets strum up into the enemy's head) crowd control becomes very efficient. If you're a sneaky fucker definitely give it a go. Go-to loadout: Burst pistol (1), silenced semi-auto rifle (4), covert training 2 (4), scavenger 2 (4) - Better than the standard revolver + semi-auto set-up because it doesn't feel as much of a disadvantage when swapping to your second firearm. You'll be able to maintain a high ammo count for your primary weapon, and when you do make the switch, you'll have tons of burst ammo to go to town with, and you can afford to be a bit wasteful. With the revolver you have to be more mechanical, and lots of redundant ammo is left in the chamber because it physically can't be used quickly enough. Neither classes are great for clan-building if you don't concentrate on downs and executions, but if you do they're very fun. Reduces some of the overthinking that accompanies support and multi-weapon set-ups. My tastes change fairly often though. Success is all about patience and positioning, which some loadouts naturally encourage more than others. Worth limiting yourself to a pistol-only setup to see how you change your map-navigation, and then transfer that to other classes. Liberating restrictions and all that shite. Tl;dr It's easy to overemphasise the brilliance of a set-up.
  20. Yeah but it was on WiiU, and you could play it with the WiiU controllorang, so it was good. I can comfortably say it was good on PS3 and 360 because we have it on the Nintendos anyway, so it dilutes my respekts to those systems. I have no interest in Bloodborne because I am a poo.
  21. I think it looks horrible, to be perfectly frank. Nintendo have shat on his dreams anyway - they might want to do a proper job of it at some point.
  22. Reading this made me angry. This series is unlike anything you've played before, in the best possible way. You are the one who needs mending, not the game. Stop being a wet willy about the whole affair and get stuck in. Revelations await you. Afterwards you may not even give a shit about the next Zelda.
