  1. They weren't my bag but they're undeniably solid.
  2. Borderlands 2 and Dishonoured are free to play on Steam for a few days.
  3. I think it will work better with a controller if anything because with the mouse the aiming gets borked if you want to look ahead (by pressing ctrl I believe), whereas if you're using the stick it won't do that. The stick points to where you're aiming all the time independently of movement, but the mouse pointer has to move around the character, which affects movement and aiming. If that makes any sense whatsoever.
  4. DEEEEEECENT! So much more satisfying than using the Stinger.
  5. I don't know if when you played it you did it local coop, 4 players in the same room on insane though? The level where you have to fuel the car is ridiculous because you're concentrating on carrying the jerry-cans, fighting through swathes of zombies, shouting at your mates to tell them to cover you, revive you, rejoin the floor you're on, or retrieve the final few cans, and in that situation it almost doesn't matter if you're aware of the specials or not. It's a complete clusterfuck by that point and you have to keep charging on to avoid being surrounded. The licking ones are the worst because they camp out and pick you up from unbelievable ranges from anywhere in the map, be it instantly when you turn a corner or above you from a balcony. It does make the final successful lunge at the exit extremely satisfying though.
  6. Arriving stupidly late to the party here, but I finally played Left4Dead 2 tonight. Did 4 player link-up on the 360 (screw that thread) taking a measured approach to the levels on insane difficulty for the first half-hour. That is to say, the first level, singular, because we got completely and utterly mauled doing that. Eventually figured out the fun and proper way to play is to race through the game as a unit and we had a great laugh, although we only managed 3 levels in as many hours. Can't remember the last 4am sesh I've had. Good times. Some of the special enemies are pure bullshit to be fair.
  7. Hair not included, this almost looks too good to be true.
  8. If some of the following isn't set up then fair fucking play
  9. I don't get there until half 1, assuming everybody will be chilling at Hyde unless de stormz are a brewin'.
  10. Chelsea's second goal today was phenomenal and they're my favourites for the league by a distance, with City second. Arsenal won't come close, as much as I'd like to see them challenge.
  11. You've had a shocker there bro, the load times are terrible and it's just generally not that good. Should've gone for Tag 2!
  12. I actually thought it was a trailer for a new Mirror's Edge game initially. Breathtaking.
  13. It's not working for me, they must've disabled it.
  14. The first 20 minutes are OK but then he gets dicked on quite a lot only broken up by the odd sick multi-kill. Really inventive usage of the C4 is what surprised me, looking forward to testing that shit.
  15. This was an enjoyable watch. Chap has great radar/map awareness e.g 24.40
  16. I had a Plus subscription on my PS3 that ended 2 days after the PS4 came out. Managed to 'purchase' Resogun on t'interweb with it ready for when I join all you bum buddies on here for some PS4 carnage. I'm hoping the consoles will have a lengthy lifespan so we can have lots and lots and lots of fun
  17. Neither do I, but to look at him, he's the sort of person who'd ask his fans to address him 'Dear Leader'. The comedy clashes with his attempt to depict war as something grave and timeless. You can't have anything serious to say about war if your actual battles are about arousing men with scantily-clad carboard cut-out women.
  18. I hate his ego and his excess. He can make a game, a bloody good game at that, but he can't help but jeopardize it with his fluffly ideas and defective sense of humour. He isn't a master of his talents, he's a slave to his idle indulgences. It really irks me, there's an aura of smugness about him in the way he courts his following as well. He has the ability and the scaffolding around him to do so much more, BUT HE FUCKING TAINTS EVERYTHING. ARGH! *gnashing of teeth*
  19. To be fair I think both Microsoft and Sony made those distinctions clear in their E3 conferences, only there was a lot more riding on the TR announcement and it was, possibly intentionally, left ambiguous.
  20. Hello, I'm curmudgeoning again. This stuff is bollocks. I don't understand why, if you're trying to make a serious story-driven game with tense gameplay, you'd want to undo it with these naff ideas, all of which require fiddly button commands. The combat options available in 4 were already superfluous. The porn mags in Sons of Liberty were bullshit enough, but at least they functioned somewhat differently to the other items at your disposal. Now you can piss all over the AI no matter what sort of scrape you get into. Kojima reminds me of Spielberg at his worst Admittedly it isn't a well-contructed set-piece to start with (Minority Report is an abomination), but just when you think you're ready for an action sequence you're fed some wry, half-baked comedy that thinks its cleverer than it is. Kojima is a pervert with a rotten attitude who can't resist the urge to put half-naked girls in his game, and nobody has the nerve to tell him to grow up.
