Yeah I'm playing on hard so I think it's just a case of good balancing. Raiders and ghouls still pose a very real threat even though I'm level 14. It is good to be back.

Tedious questions/thoughts: Just reached level 11. Sorry if you guys have been over this, but what does everyone else do about item stashing? I pick up most of the crafting stuff I find and it means I easily reach my carry limit, although to be fair I haven't really been offloading much to my companion so far. So right now I travel back to the first settlement and stash the junk in a wardrobe, but I feel like this is a stupid way to hoard things. Was there a way of dumping it at a workstation and making it transferable to other settlements, or do you need a trade route set up for that? Also, when I'm scrapping stuff in the building mode, where is all of that stored? In my inventory? Also I have a bad feeling I lost a good sniper rifle because it somehow got used in the process of crafting something on my settlement. Not sure if that's even possible though. Final thought - I seem to be absolutely tearing through my ammo and stimpak supplies. I'm guessing part of the reason is that I've been playing without Power Armour despite coming across two suits, but as with everything else you can end up wasting, like caps or rare explosives, I never use the armour due to it being a finite resource. And I like to be a sneaky bastard. Ammo solution might lie in improving luck/luck-based perks. // So far I'm enjoying the dynamism of the enemy AI compared to previous games. Sure the encounters are more scripted but that ensures tense exploration, coupled with the more aggressive move sets and attack patterns. The general face lift to the buildings and monuments is also much-welcomed, as is the sense that there are bigger, interconnected structures to explore, which means you have greater freedom to plan and approach combat. There's also more in the way of jumping and snooping around in search of secret treasures, akin to Dishonored but on a lesser scale. Little things like the improved companion interaction and the streamlined item collecting go a long way. So far, so good. Nothing has blown me away, but if I'm honest it's the gradual ascent to character beasthood that drives me on.

What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!

Phenomenal. Up there with the best of his, for me. -
Probably has something to do with the fact that they decided to merge two DLCs into one, hence a bid to recoup costs.

How does the Boston Radio Station (or whatever it's called) compare to the others?

I have been leaking cum since realising I get to play the game this month. Avoiding gameplay is going to be a strain. Flink - you should 100% get this. Get it bro.

My friend is soon to be holidaying in South America for two months and he's letting me borrow his PS4. Sensational timing. Will obviously be playing this, and hopefully have some online sessions with you guys if any of us can tear ourselves away from what is likely to be the best game ever made.

You can play it in 1st and 3rd person. Usually best to play it as an FPS unless you're snooping through a building.

I would agree on the New Vegas point but then we'd both be wrong. Fallout 3 felt lived-in to me, whereas New Vegas felt like a hollow shell. It's a very divisive subject but Fallout is Fallout when push comes to shove, so take your pick. Tremendous series.

So Fallout 3 was the best game of the previous generation of consoles. The colour argument is completely blinkered - the palette is aesthetically justified by the story and the gorgeous art design. It's THE post-apocalyptic game to play, due to the feeling of solitude and immersion in a bleak, hopeless world - the moments of awe just looking about the landscape and taking everything in a moment of silence, before trekking across to a distant tower with 40's oldies blaring out on your radio as you incinerate feral dogs and ogres with mini-nukes in slow-motion. It's so much greater than the sum of its parts, and believe me, there a fuck ton of parts.

Finished Adam Bede by George Eliot recently. One of my favourite passages: UNF. And my current reading list. Asked for Slade House, Crime and Punishment, A Very British Coup, and Lolita for my Birthday. Got the other two on a book shop date. The edition of C&P is delicious. I WANT TO READ THEM ALL AT ONCE.

You know the library feature? Can you folder and delete things from it permanently? Asking for a friend.

Looks like the Idol actually does stuff now, I always used it as a n00b cameo distraction in Plunder. Utter gash. Hope the perks like sidekick characters aren't OP, can imagine that getting extremely irritating. Otherwise, this looks phenom. ND are really cramming the dynamism of the single player into the deathmatches.

Just wait 'til you play some of the best games - revelations await you.

What was the returning franchise? I only just got back home, don't know what the lowdown is. Unch 4 multiplayer looks sick

I'm happy to be outspoken Elena > Chloe

Playing the Uncharted games back to back wouldn't be enjoyable. Have a couple of weeks break from number 3, and hopefully with the balancing issues you'll enjoy the meat and bones of the series when you come back to it. It gets a lot more cinematic, but the plot/structure flies out of the window, as in the random boat section which is fun but out of place.

How many games are there and how are they planning to roll them out? At that price I'm sure most people won't bother keeping a subscription over an extended period of time, even if new games are added regularly.

I've told him that already, just not as eloquently.

My friend wants a brief beginner's guide before he plays the game. What are the essential tips to follow (without spoiling too much) ? I've given him a brief overview of how the Souls games work already, but obviously this is quite different, what with the trick weapon parries and everything. He's more than a competent player, I just wanted to make sure he doesn't waste an inordinate amount of time getting rekt for bullshit reasons. Feel free to quote someone from the thread if they've already made a cogent list.

Dat hype http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-09-23-watch-composer-inon-zur-play-the-fallout-4-theme-on-piano Think I'll go on blackout mode until I get a PS4 and a copy of the game.

If I had a laptop that could run this, I'd be all over it. Loved UT3 on PS3 despite the frequent lag issues and sub-optimum performance. Intensely addictive.

Fair enough. The Souls series (& Bloodborne) are pretty damn innovative though, and the world design is fascinating. Gothic fantasy setting > nondescript city - every time.
