  1. A Fidget Cube - little somethin'-somethin' to take the edge of the ol' anxiety.
  2. God, another one too young. =(
  3. I don't mind the Switch having a slow burn launch - definitely gonna give it a month or two until at least Puyo-Puyo-Tetris comes out (pro-tip - buy some version of Puyo-Puyo-Tetris). My concerns all centre around Nintendo trying to muddy up what should be a simple slam-dunk concept. A single Nintendo system that works on the go or attached to a TV? Great! IR sensors? Multiple controller configurations? "HD Rumble"? Whut? Why? Who? How? When? WHICH?
  4. Boo, I'm ready to go back to therapy but the counselling service I used got shuttered end of last year. I'll happily go elsewhere but that adds an extra level that I super don't need right now.
  5. This game is terrifying. I switch it on for like 5 mins and 4 hours just straight up vanished.
  6. Oh no I'm so sorry to hear that @martinist. My thoughts to your family.
  7. I'm not big on JRPGs but this definitely looks interesting. This also confirms a theory I've had that there would probably less technically demanding games to extend the battery life, which I was also hoping for.

I'm curious to see how well this controls - reports seem positive. If Nintendo must insist of constantly reinventing the wheel they at least (usually) find ways of making it work.
  9. Maybe lauch-ish, definitely within the 1st year. I definitely want to play Zelda, Splatoon 2, MK 8 on the move, and Puyo-Tetris in English but I might wait until there's at least 2 or 3 things for it I want to play.
  10. Nearly two weeks into training at the new job, all seems well so far. Only wrankle is that the other training group we came in with have been wiped out for a week and a half by Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease (not dangerous but very unpleasant and extremely contagious - they've literally had to tape off the room they were training in) so now we're all losing sleep over how run-down we should be feeling.
  11. My one hope is that Ellie is the main playable character this time around. Joel's alright but Ellie's always been the heart and soul of it. Left Behind really benefited from focusing on her for a couple of hours.
  12. Man, this was the the update I was waiting for. I've got way too many games to play right now but this has definitely bumped it up the list.
  13. Honestly for a fiver it's practically robbing them. No excuse not to try it if you haven't already.
  14. Pulled the trigger on a laptop upgrade - Acer, i5 7200u, 950m 4gb, 1Tb+ 256gb SSD, £600 from Ebuyer. Nice for the price, a modest beast but light years ahead of my faithful 4y/o Inspiron (which will enjoy a reasonable retirement as a family photo dipository for my mum).
  15. So has anyone else been trying the open beta? I must say I've enjoyed it quite a bit, it seems like a pretty & well put together game. Just don't know if it would hold for the hours required to justify a full price purchase though.
  16. Finished Bayonetta 2 today. Holy hell what a game. Starts strong, gets stronger. May be the best 2nd-half to any game I've ever played. Kept surprising me right until the end. Just astounding.
  17. So how was your birthday? I hope there was moderate drinking and nipples involved.

  18. Raining! Long time no-see. How have things been?

  19. Worth noting - Hillary won every POC & LGBT demo except whites. Every non-LGBT white demographic voted Trump overwhelmingly regardless of wealth, age, education, profession, and gender. Hillary won voters earning less than $50k overall, Trump won everyone over $50k. I find it impossible impossible to accept any narrative that this was a working class revolt when the voting lines are so starkly aligned along racial boundaries and across class identities. Not to mention the nature of the candidate and his rhetoric.
  20. Silver lining: Looking forward to the Simpson presidency in 4-8 years time.
  21. A final kicker - Odds are good that Clinton will finish with more votes than Trump overall. Current votes put her about 140k ahead (as reported by the BBC tracker). The only other person to become president while still losing the popular vote in the last 100 years was George W Bush.
  22. Mike Pence supports conversion therapy for gay children, including electrocution.
  23. More than enough to swing key battleground states like Florida from Trump to Hillary.
