  1. I bought this and started it yesterday. Its quite alright with good controls and a colourful art style. They have also kept the witty dialogue. On thing, though. It seems that the pace should be high but of you want to collect coins and look around, you have to slow down a bit much and often can't go back. And since some levels are a bit on the long side, I don't feel like replaying them over and over to collect the coins. It's also unclear when there is a secondary version of a level which means that some places are not reachable at the current time. But yeah. Four or five levels in, and I enjoy it very much.
  2. Just watched Klaus. Such a good, heartwarming movie with beautiful animation and great acting. It's a fun take on the Santa Claus-myth.
  3. All this talk about Mr Robot is making me think that I was wrong to be a bit underwhelmed by season 1. I just couldn't see the show needing another season and don't really feel like watching it. It being only four seasons is compelling, though.
  4. I've been thinking about reviving this thread for a little while but always forgot. After having a son two years ago, my fitness level dropped quite a bit, and my otherwise regular exercising routines were up in the air. Now my life has stabilized a bit again and over the past half a year I've been exercising two-three times a week apart from biking 20 km a day when I go home from work. Most of my exercise is running. I do 4-6 km twice a week and have got pretty consistent with my results. In the beginning of the year, my pace was about 4:15 per km but it has got down to 4:04-4:07 now which is great. Still aiming for 4:00 but it's damn hard to get there, I find. When the weather doesn't allow for a run, I do 20 minutes rowing on our waterrower at home. That super effective, I feel, and I usually manage about 5.5 km each time - sometimes a bit higher but then I'm pretty dead afterwards. I don't do much strengthening anymore, it's cut down to once a week when I go to work at our headquarters - there is a nicely equipped gym there with a squat rack so I can do heavier squats (i.e 4x5 @70-80 kg). At home I can mostly do 60 kg and that gets boring quickly. And finally, I try to make a rowing-kettlebell-bodyweight-workout at home once a week, sometimes alone and sometimes with my wife while our son is asleep in the middle of the day. Those are good fun and very varied. Now I'm in the market for some new running shoes as my Inov8 F-Lite 210 is worn down. I'm thinking about Inov8 F-Lite 195 or 235 because I probably need a little more than 3 mm sole in my shoes.
  5. There is no battle with Asriel in the first book. He is at a cabin in the north at the end of it. Still haven't started this! It's absurd, I really want to but every time I ask my wife if we should see an episode she's "too tired". But she's still up for another 1.5 hours or so. But I'm glad that people are enjoying it and I look forward to watching it.
  6. In the description, it says "New world, new characters, new story"...:
  7. This is 25 % off for the next week on the eShop. May buy it now then as I kind of need a new game soon and had this or A Hat In Time topping my lists.
  8. Oh, hadn't seen that! Damn, my wife is going to be away tonight and I am tired of playing LM3 so thought this would be a good occasion to dust off the Wii U and get into this.
  9. So this* is still a free update on the Wii U version of the game, right? I got Plague Knight for free there so I hope King of Cards is as well. *King of Cards, not Showdown
  10. I enjoyed Axiom Verge very much when I played it some time ago so I'm really happy with the reveal of the sequel. I've previously heard about Talos Principle and it has got really great reviews so will definitely look more at that later on. Other than that, not much I really want now but perhaps when we get closer to release of some of the other games, my interest in them grows.
  11. Just defeated the B2 boss yesterday and yeah, not a fun fight but not nearly as bad as I had thought based on all the comments. The first time I entered the fight I failed miserably because of the controls but after a restart (didn't want to lose my golden bone), it went smoothly. So just unlocked floor 10 and yeah, I'm kind of glad that I'm almost near the end of the game now. I can't see myself collecting every gem and certainly not all of the Boos. I agree with @Aneres11, the game could have used some more moves later on to mix things up a bit.
  12. Interesting choice of music but it gives the trailer a good vibe. It looks decent but I don't think it'll be quite as good as the first one.
  13. Even though Supergirl, Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow all are available here, I can't watch it as Arrow and Flash aren't available. It's a shame as I am quite interested in this event having recently (like, three years ago?) read the Crisis on Infinite Earths book.
  14. Full video here: Quite impressive indeed!
  15. Hm, looks decent!! Though I wonder if it will be that interesting since you know that she's in the Avengers-movies.
  16. I can completely relate to this after getting kids and a more adult life style, I don't have the time to play games that much. That said, I can easily squeeze in a couple of hours in the evenings while my wife watches something on the TV or something - though I prefer to watch something with her. I don't like games that are lengthy just for the sake of being lengthy and I hate games that I feel are wasting my time between the interesting things, e.g. something that is a trivial task that doesn't progress a story of some sorts, or that don't have a fast travel system, or where you have to complete the same thing over and over before you reach a hard part (mostly related to platformers). For the same reason, I like that checkpoints are more frequent in modern games. But I have a couple of games on Switch that I spent more than 90 hours on and have enjoyed it, and I do expect to get The Witcher 3 when I'm done with the games that I have on my to-buy-list for now - some time in spring. However, I also quit playing some games when they become too long or boring - Octopath Traveler got to this point when I had completed all chapter 3s on the four team members - they were so similar that it was boring.
  17. Quite the steal at that price!
  18. Yeah, Champion was the first time I really had to use some kind of strategy.
  19. Mark of the Ninja is truly a gem. It's worth the normal price so getting it whole it's discounted by 50 pct is a scoop.
  20. I want to watch it but haven't started it yet as I was waiting for more episodes to be available. I'm a bit concerned about being able to follow the show as it's been five years since I've read the book, and I learned that this show is built upon the book. Furthermore, I'd watch it with my wife who has no knowledge of anything from the book so would have to answer questions from her, making it harder for us to begin the show.
  21. I don't hope they spent long on Brain Age. ... It does indeed seem like they have not been able to keep up the pace from previous years but it could be that they are spending more time supporting the second party developers who are working on their franchises.
  22. Then I missed the point. Aerodactyl, Cranidos, Shieldon and that other T-Rex-spin-off look really good. The ones in Sword/Shield look... crazy weird. And not in a good sense.
  23. Wow, the fossils are ugly Pokémon designs in this game! Just finished the semifinals tonight. Was severely overlevelled with all my Pokémon and my Pangoro took out half the enemies, I think.
  24. Just for comparisons, what did they do in the Wii U era?
  25. Got the seventh and eighth badge pieces yesterday. Really disappointed with those - Piers shouldn't be the seventh given how weak a fight and gym mission that was but I guess they wanted to start on a high note. The gym mission against the final Gym was better because of its gimmick but still disappointing. Also, the two gyms were accessible within an hour of each other, no filler inbetween. In general, this game just feels like a cut-down version of Pokémon in every single regard. It has less routes, less trainers to battle, less secrets, less story, less legendaries, less Pokémon, less moves... It just doesn't feel right. It's not a bad game per se, but it's just not at all the best Pokémon game out there.
