  1. I like the concept and had a little interest in it, but it also reminds me of Costume Quest and while that wasn't bad it was clearly not targeted at me or someone with a lot of experience in the genre. It seems that this is probably the same, then. Thanks for your impressions.
  2. I was disappointed when I found out that ScareScraper doesn't support local play on one Switch. So went on and tried the three minigames and... Yeah, not doing that again. Of the three, only the coin collecting one was a little fun. Otherwise, I'm enjoying the game and have just got Gooigi.
  3. Oh, then I better start the game before leaving for my friend's house tonight!
  4. It's a bit funny. I work on a Danish Nintendo site and we get a lot of games for review. But even though we have a very good track record, deliver quality reviews, and meet the required standards, we don't get Pokémon before it's out. So it baffles me if random Youtubers get the game before then.
  5. Can you play local multiplayer right off the bat in this?
  6. Double post in wrong thread - how nice! And apparently my copy command didn't work so now it's lost. Oh well. It was just a small anecdote.
  7. I wonder how many beta-players they'll get then... but as long as multiplayer isn't locked behind a paywall, I can wait.
  8. Very good trailer. Enjoyed it. Is this story different from the books? It seems like they are mixing things a bit and tell some of the story before Geralt met Ciri? I'm about halfway through the second book - haven't read so much lately as games have taken my time but could probably finish the second book before this show airs.
  9. Sales for this fiscal year (april-september) are up: – 0.17 million 3DS units sold this fiscal quarter; 0.37 million this fiscal year – 3DS software: 1.12 million this quarter, 2.6 million this fiscal year Not that impressive... Million sellers:
  10. Sales for the period april to september (including) are up! – 2.85 million original Switch units sold in the fiscal quarter; 4.95 million this fiscal year – 1.95 million Switch Lite units sold this fiscal quarter/year – 4.8 million overall Switch units sold this fiscal quarter; 6.93 million this fiscal year (I wonder what the last 30,000 units sold were... ) The turquoise colour of the Switch Lite was the best selling colour. Switch million sellers: The bottom three are new titles this year. Switch software numbers: – Switch software: 35.87 million this quarter, 58.49 million this fiscal year
  11. This has sold 3.13 million units since its release. That's actually rather Impressive, I think.
  12. Has it been confirmed for a Western release yet?
  13. My list has thinned a bit now that Ni no Kuni is over and done. I'm getting Luigi's Mansion 3 tomorrow and once I'm done with that, I will either go to Pokémon Sword or get Ori, Yooka-Laylee, or A Hat in Time. I should be able to finish two of those before the end of the year. But I have it all planned out. Next year is The Year of the WItcher 3, I guess.
  14. Nice review, good to see that the game is good. I've read other reviewers complain about the controls as you will have to use the right stick and the X or A button almost at the same time, which is hard... It's also the first time I've ever heard someone consider LM to be a survival horror game. I've seen it mentioned in two reviews now.
  15. Yeah, do the one where he dies on the stage...
  16. Reviews appear online in two hours! Looking forward to reading some impressions.
  17. Well, there could be a Direct coming but I don't really think we'll get a proper one before January. If we get something, it's most likely a Pokémon Direct.
  18. There is a tournament at my work on Tuesday in this. I haven't played since last year but have been playing MK Tour over the past couple of weeks. It was a bit strange coming from Tour to this as the speed difference on 150cc is quite big. And then there's the timing of Rocket Start... But finally managed to get 3 stars on all cups in 150cc today while training. It only took me what, 6 years? Last year, I got a second place in a crazy close race. The guy who beat me has left the company now so I hope to get first place this year.
  19. And done! I went to the final part of the game yesterday evening, grinded a bit of Totocold or whatever it's called (took quite some time to make one appear but then I got three) and went to the final boss. The first part of the boss nearly beat me, as I was suddenly having two fallen allies and almost no time to wake them. But the next two phases were fine but slow. Overall, it's a really good game with a great story and atmosphere. The familars are so-so, I didn't really care about them and didn't really want to catch the ones I missed. The battles had their faults, they tried to be a mix of real-time and turn based and it just didn't really work that well. Often I found that the enemy's attack was too fast for me to take a defensive stance or I had just started loading an attack as well. It made me feel like I wasn't in control. Furthermore, the AI definitely had its problems: I quite often found that Swaine wasn't attacking at all, just standing there and watching. I also made the mistake of giving both of them tanks (Lumberwood and Monolith) and they always switched to those during battles even for regular enemies - they dealt 1 HP damage per attack. They also drained their own mana which I of course could disable but that was also problematic because sometimes I would actually need their mana. Overall, I think the game would have benefitted from giving the player more control in a quieter setting somehow but I understand the need for distancing from Pokémon battles. Furthermore, i think the game could have ended after beating Shadar. Last, I experienced some errors (maybe 8-10 in the 50 hours I spent with the game), causing the game to close. I seldom lost more than 10 minutes of game time but at one occasion I lost a familiar I had catched that wasn't easy to catch. I hope this is addressed in an update but I don't think it will be. Despite these niggles, I enjoyed the game very much. I even did most of the errands and bounty hunts because I think the rewards for doing so were good. If you want a good JRPG - that isn't as long as the usual - this is a good call.
  20. This is probably why they didn't have time to include all Pokémon:
  21. A demo has just been released on the European eShop.
  22. Is every Pokémon represented in that video, though? One can only presume that those appearing in the video are included in the game... Someone has to count.
