  1. Apparently, you are racing other people's ghost data. This also makes it possible to race while offline. I think I managed a few 1st places and a third place at some point. But I see that the requirement for getting 5 stars increase little by little.
  2. Played it last night for about 20 minutes. I find the controls a bit wonky, trying to just adjust the kart a little often resulted in a small drift and then trying to correct that would again make me drift - just the other way. It's also not possible to fire items during a drift which is a shame. I also found that I couldn't control how sharp my turn would be but I guess that's just down to experience and adjustments. Other than that, I actually think the game seems fun. It seems totally possible to play the game and enjoy it without paying.
  3. BoJo? Never heard that. But unfortunately, someone was faster than me with this: Brexit is pure comedy. For an outsider, at least.
  4. I'm at 151 for Kanto (got there last year), 99 for Johto (just need Heracross), Hoenn is at 130 (missing Kecleon,Relicanth, Torkoal Regirock (never got him in the Research Breakthroughs!) and Jirachi - the necessary spawns disappeared), 89 for Sinnoh (missing regionals and legendaries and the evolutions of Gible), and only 9 for Unova.
  5. Yes, some of the chapters take that long. I assume you can do them faster if you don't care about side stuff, though.
  6. Got this a day early and played it for three hours yesterday, which is a nice amount of time to get it properly started. Got to the point where the cat gave me a wand. Overall, the game runs well, no frame drops when playing, though the cutscenes do stutter a little from time to time (but I've seen this is some animes from Studio Ghibli as well so I'm inclined to believe that it's just laziness from their part). The visuals are very nice, colourful and vibrant and sound is good. Gameplay-wise I have wandered a bit about in the overworld which, as someone else mentioned, seems a bit empty. This is not a problem in towns and other places, but yeah, it's not the most inspiring place to go adventuring. Then we have the smaller areas. They work really well and there seems to be enough to do. Battles, though. I do get the criticism. Once you have more than one familiar, you have to switch between them and then Oliver in order to heal. I think it works alright but it takes some getting used to. The story seems heavy and meaningful, again it reminds me of an anime. That's great. I do wonder, though, if it's all just Oliver's imagination.... I'm looking forward to playing more.
  7. Generally, reviews are very favourable and luckily, I'm rather alone in thinking that this is a weak entry in the Zelda-series. I ended on 6 / 10. My issues in list form (contains spoilers to some quests): I did enjoy much of the game, mind. It's just that as a modern game, I do think it has some frustrating shortcomings that soured my experience.
  8. If you enter a small cave in a screen, they respawn when you get out. You do that a lot of times just to check the cave out only to find that you can't progress into it. I'm not saying they should respawn but I felt the timer was set way too low.
  9. This is my first real playthrough of LA. My first Zelda was OoT on the N64 followed by MM and WW. Then I played ALttP and enjoyed it. I've also played Oracle of Seasons and I actually think I played Ages on 3DS at some point, and enjoyed those but I expect the same problems would apply to these if they were remade. As @Glen-i says, it's really apparent that it's a Game Boy game and they have done nothing to recreate the game as a modern game. Just the fact that they've kept screens and not a fluent overworld and that everything resets all the time is making the game and traversing Koholint Island tedious, you have to take out the enemies again and again and again. However, I could live with that but the many of the dungeons are just not very good or logical. Not all, though, the first four are fine albeit small. The bosses are really easy, though. Like... After having 10+ hearts, you don't care about damage.
  10. New short trailer: Embargo lifts tomorrow at 2 pm CEST. I gotta say, though.... this is probably the worst game in the Zelda-series that I have played (I haven't played Zelda and Zelda II though). I'll elaborate tomorrow after embargo lifts but most of my criticism is probably just because it's an old game with a different approach to game design and how to create dungeons that are fun.
  11. Wasn't that Pokemon leaked at some point? I could swear that I've heard the name before.
  12. Looks like reviews are generally good but one seems to have experienced major glitches and bugs. Hopefully this isn't the general perception and I hope patches will make it better. I just preordered the game today and look forward to starting it.
  13. I've just bought NnK, full price and all. To me it's a new game, a game that I really wanted back when it came out so it makes sense for me. I also had some credit on a website and got it for not so much. I think I'll like it.
  14. Played most of it in handheld mode and never had any issues with frame rate or controls. It's masterly done.
  15. Oh. Had hoped it was November 1st as the rumours were saying.
  16. I wonder if this is compatible with the Labo VR somehow... Hopefully the game has some substance so that you actually want to play it.
  17. Not quite what I expected but I think it's a good idea. Could be tempted to trying it out - especially with my wife. We try to exercise together at home. However, those hosts are cringy as hell!
  18. Embargo has been lifted and reviews are out, staying at the 5-7 / 10 it seems. They seem to address the difficulty and that much of the game is just not really that good. However, some of the boss fights are very good, it seems.
  19. Ah. I haven't got my Switch with me now so I couldn't check that. Cheers!
  20. I don't understand that "switch button inputs off". It doesn't state how to awaken the Switch Lite from sleep and it says that when you turn it off, it will automatically be turned on again next time - even after just sleeping. I think that kind of defeats the purpose of a setting... I also don't really understand that QR code - what does it do? What use is there for an alarm - is it just an alarm clock so you don't have to watch an external watch when gaming to see when you need to stop or? But yeah, being able to invite people to online games is long overdue.
  21. Is it possible to go directly to the Star Fox missions and only do those? Picked it up for like £8 the other day and want to try out those sections.
