  1. I also like to be in contact with the public but I have not found an efficient way for that yet. How do you do it?
  2. I've reached and beaten the sixth gym now and am continuing along Route 9. So far, it feels like a Pokémon game but there isn't much to do in the game, is there? You can either catch Pokémon or progress the Gym Challenge and that's it - no side quests or caves with interesting Pokémon or items. And catching Pokémon gets kind of boring or frustrating quickly sincee you have next to no power over the process once the Pokémon gets to the red area and has a status condition. I've also been surprised at the lack of legendaries or pseudo-legendaries. My team at the moment, all just short of level 50:
  3. Nintendo is hosting af Cyber Deals on eShop right now with lots of games on offer. But unfortunately neither Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, Ori and the Blind Forest or A Hat in Time have a discount as I had hoped at least one of them would have. So nothing for me this time. Perhaps next week will reveal some new Black Friday offers. Full list on main site, I see: https://n-europe.com/news/new-releases-and-eshop-discounts-week-47-4
  4. Can you trade (wireless and surprise) without an online subscription?
  5. Maybe there is a little truth to Paramount using the design as a way to get attention. https://www.indiewire.com/2019/11/sonic-redesign-cost-paramount-five-million-1202190493/amp/ This means that they could have been testing the design with the audience but perhaps they didn't expect so much to be changed.
  6. Yeah.. .and I find Hob more irritating at the moment at least. Maybe I just forgot about Hau. Maybe it's just Hob's one-sided enthusiasm that's bothering me, always taking the same stance.
  7. I wish they would ditch the Gyms altogether for the next entries and add a real story where there is something at stake and wasn't just for a personal gain (becoming Champion). I think that is something this game misses - an interesting story. I also feel like they could have changed the formula a bit more this time with the gyms. Instead of just doing 8 of them and then challenging the Elite Four and the Champion, they could have added something like the leagues from soccer. Minor league, major league, premier ... etc. and then you would advance when you got enough points. It would add something more like a world championship in Pokémon battling rather than a coming of age sort of thing. I have just completed Ni no Kuni before starting this and the differences in approach are really spectacular. Ni no Kuni had an engaging and interesting story with some quite deep and dark elements - while this has absolutely no real story. I also find it funny how everyone assumes that the main character has never left the small city in which he/she lives - never been to the tall grass and such. It seems totally unrealistic that a youngster would never have engaged with Pokémon before the day he/she get's one himself/herself. Furthermore, I find Hob to be about the most irritating person ever, while Leon looks incredibly silly despite wanting to be so cool. It's quite funny. I just came out of Galar Mine and have a full team of six, consisting of
  8. Started Sword yesterday evening (got it for review purposes) and played for half an hour. And yes, the game does indeed need voice-acting. That introduction was just too boring and it would have helped if it had more energy which can come from VA. I do like what I have played so far, though. It looks and sounds good, and the introduction has been speedy so far.
  9. Completed floor 9 yesterday and really enjoyed that boss fight. Especially enjoyed the way to hurt it the second time, that was fun. But I do get a bit of the same feeling as @Aneres11 when playing this - I'm also 8 or 9 hours in and well, yeah. It does get a bit samey now. I'll finish it but I don't think I'll try to go further than collecting every Gem as those are mainly fun puzzles.
  10. I'm referring to how it was revealed in the first trailer for the game... I don't know anything about its evolutions, nor do I know anything about the other two's evolutions. From the press release: The stealthy Sobble, a Water-type Water Lizard Pokémon, shoots out attacks as it hides itself in water.
  11. Sobble. I like the spy theme.
  12. Now, I don't know anything about 3D modelling but I know about software development and ... sometimes things expected to be plug and play simply aren't and take a lot of customisation. If they had to do this for each and every model and / or animation, it would take time. Also... today is the day that the embargo lifts! 2 PM UK / 3 PM CET.
  13. It could be but they did end up delaying the movie. If everything was actually ready, it could still have been released here in November as originally planned. Also, Sonic Mania's designer Tyson Hesse was apparently brought in to work on the redesign:
  14. King of Cards and Showdown will release on December 10th. https://yachtclubgames.com/2019/11/final-release-date-for-all-things-shovel-knight-treasure-trove/
  15. Olympics in Games? The only one I played was this: Took me many, many years before I learned what to do to win there.
  16. I had to look it up in the end. And I don't think I would have come up with the solution on my own, mainly because I simply missed the first thing you had to do.
  17. I assume that each account in a single Switch has its own save. So I assume it's possible.
  18. Well, you can create a "private" trade by inputting a code consisting of three pictures of Pokémon. Then you log off and your sibling logs in, inputting that code and performs the trade. That way, you can trade with someone you know. But it's a very inconvenient way.
  19. Aww, no reviews today anyways. Well, we'll just have to wait.
  20. That is ... SO much better. He looks really good now. Fantastic. Oh, the movie also seems better now, I even laughed a few times during the trailer. Might actually go see this now!
  21. True, they have cut many features that made life better for players, it seems, and the sum of all that may affect the scoring.
  22. Yeah. I don't know if I would let the cutting of certain Pokémon affect the score too much, perhaps just put it as a negative but it ultimately doesn't matter much to the gameplay experience that the score should reflect. Perhaps take a point off of presentation or something instead. Though I guess it depends on how many are cut (I don't know the exact number but have seen some range).
  23. https://www.resetera.com/threads/pokemon-sword-and-shield-review-thread.152612/ According to this thread, the reviews go online at 2pm UK time (3 pm CET).
  24. Isn't the music in this kind of .. weird and bad? Is GTS replaced by something else? Or did they just cut it in order to release it in a patch later on? I'm looking forward to seeing the reviews. I may be handling a review of the game as well but haven't got a review code either, and at this point, I might actually give it a miss as I don't really look forward to the game that much. If I don't get a review copy, this is a game for next year, I think.
  25. Japanese launch trailer:
