  1. Watched Kidding with Jim Carrey over the past week, both season 1 and 2. The first season was good, Carrey portrayed an interesting character and the story was good. Sometimes I got a Joker-vibe from him, which was impressive. However, I think they missed what made season 1 work well in season 2. Somehow it was less realistic, less interesting points, and it just fell short except the last two episodes. I'm most likely not going to watch season 3 should it be announced.
  2. I've always had my phone with me when running to hatch eggs and find Candy for my buddy but I hate it, especially as my shorts do not have a pocket. So when I got a Garmin running watch I tried to find some way to use the data from Garmin Connect in Pokémon Go and I found this guide the other day and have tested it twice, it really works! I believe it also works with biking using the watch but haven't tested that yet. Also. Remote Raid pass is genius except that you have to check each visible gym to find someone ready to raid - it would be nice if there were an indication of people waiting in a lobby at each gym. Had to wait 15 minutes during raid hour yesterday, cycling through all nine gyms in my area in order to find enough people waiting at a gym to raid. But got Reshiram in the end!
  3. Wasn't that pin error corrected in the newer revision of the Switch console? I.e. it's only possible on consoles bought the first year and a half (ish).
  4. It's funny how the first half-year in 2020 has been terrible but in May/June, at least four games that interest me are released: Shantae and the Seven Sirens, Journey to the Savage Planet, The Outer Worlds, and Pokémon Sword/Shield DLC part 1. Then in July, Paper Mario and beyond that, who knows? I could also be tempted to play XCOM2 at some point.
  5. Aww, too bad. Wonder what got in their way in Europe?
  6. Journey to the Savage Planet was rumoured a few weeks ago and today it hit Switch eShop with no prior announcement: It's a game I've been looking at, might give it a go at some point, though I think The Outer Worlds will be my next new game.
  7. A new show about Justice Society of America called Stargirl has just been added to my streaming service. Never heard of it. It ties into Legends of Tomorrow?
  8. Well, new mechanics can work well and they can work badly. I found the colouring of cards in Colour Splash boring and slow. I haven't played Sticker Star but making the battles dependent on some random stickers just doesn't seem fun. Sometimes, you also just want more of a good thing. You just don't need to reinvent the wheel every time.
  9. Sorry. Meant when you were further in the game and had full capacity.
  10. I've read my old review of Colour Splash, and I didn't enjoy the battles - they actually punished you and in the long term, they were boring. You lost cards, HP, and paint but gained basically nothing in return. That's not how battles are supposed to be like and I hope they have changed that in TOK. Boss battles also seemed to be dependent on you getting certain Things to destroy the bosses.
  11. My first reaction was "Woah! Nice!" but then I saw the Japanese battle trailer and was bummed - looks like they had yet another gimmick they wanted to test. :/ Hopefully, this time the battles are fun.
  12. Working from home (which I still do) really has its benefits regarding fitness. Now that I don't "waste" 40 minutes a day biking, I can do much more varied and interesting exercising at home. Having a kettlebell (20 kg and 12 kg), a barbell (up to 60 kg) a jump rope and a rowing machine really helps with variety as well and I can do quite a lot - the barbell is garbage so can't do anything like cleaning because of the screwlock-system. Also, not being at work means that I don't eat so much candy and chocolate anymore. That's nice.
  13. Haven't heard about that show - is it this one https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7658402/ ?
  14. I think you get one from doing Colisseum of Fools again. But I'm not sure.
  15. I hope they make it possible to buy Future Connected as a stand alone then. That would be awesome. But I think they use it to sell the main game so I don't think it'll happen.
  16. I had luck with attacking them from above, bouncing off of them and then dashing to the opposite side of them, repeating it. Worked for me after half an hour or so.
  17. Mario Maker 2 - massive, but not for me Fire Emblem Three Houses - too much of a. life-sim to me but may pick it up sometime Labo VR - gimmick, not much of a game Astral Chain - really good game Link's Awakening - didn't enjoy it but played and I acknowledge that it's a big title - though it's a remaster Ring Fit Adventure - out of stock! - and a bit of a gimmick Luigi's Mansion 3 - big title but I didn't enjoy it that much after some time as it grew very samey. Pokemon Sword/Shield - Pokémon is great but this is a shallow take on the games - though I'm looking forward to the expansions Animal Crossing - life-sim and not for me So even though Nintendo have put out some games, almost all of them came out last year and many of them have a short life.
  18. Nintendo's output in 2020 has been atrocious and if I hadn't bought Witcher 3, I wouldn't have had much to play this year. Sure, there are some indie-games to play but they are getting harder and harder to find. I have bought AC for my wife, who plays it a bit. Now I'm waiting for Outer Worlds and XCom 2 (which I may get for reviewing soon) and after that... I'll probably return to Wticher 3 as I'm only about halfway through that. However, conceptually I find Switch perfect. Combining handheld and home-console gaming is really nice, and it's so fast to boot and get to play. The build quality could be better but that said, I have had it since launch (almost) and my son has dropped it a couple of times (damn him and his curiosity!) and it still works perfectly. Left JoyCon is drifting a little sometimes but nothing terrible.
  19. Throw the controller into a wall. Hard.
  20. Nice! It was just announced in the weekly downloads today. But then a heads up to everyone else that the game has a discounted price.
  21. Oh, drat, @drahkon - Baba is You has just now received a 25 % discount!
  22. I never completed Baba is You, which is very natural for the type of the game, I think. Put about 10 hours into it and then put it down and didn't pick it up again. But this reminded me of it and I need a break from Witcher 3, so I fired it up again and yeah, still great. The solutions to some of the puzzles are just so satisfyingly clever and creative.
  23. It's the best puzzle game I have ever played. But it's really, really hard and some levels have only one solution. It's a lot like programming so keep that in mind, if that's not your thing this won't click.
  24. Yeah, I enjoyed that as well back when it aired. It's a shame but luckiky it didn't end on a cliffhanger or some such, it was actually a decent ending. I finished Devs last night. It was alright, worth a watch, but the main character is just not really that good or interesting. The rest of the cast, though, is quite good. The story was fine, but they revealed some of the mystery parts too soon,, and the ending was a bit to the weird side.
