  1. Why only two face buttons, though? Seems like a NES-style controller with a control stick.
  2. Sigh. So many diversion opinions! It's hard for me to decide if I want to spend 4 hours on this. I enjoyed the original alright, nothing spectacular but I went in expecting the worst and found a faulty but overall enjoyable movie with some cool heroes. But four hours is quite a commitment to asknof the viewer.
  3. Fans of Donkey Kong Country (and by extension Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair) should apparently consider Kaze and the Wild Masks according to NintendoLife. Out on March 26th.
  4. This has now become the fastest-selling Nintendo game in Europe in all time. In less than a year, it has sold about 7 million copies meaning that a little more than 1/3 of Switch owners in Europe own hte game. From NintendoEverything: Nintendo says that over seven million copies of Animal Crossing: New Horizons have been sold in Europe since launch. More than one-third of the twenty million-plus Switch owners in the continent own a copy. I must admit that I don't fully understand why this is so popular - were the older entries in the games also this popular in Europe, or has the pandemic got anything to do with it? I bought the game for my wife because she enjoyed playing it on my DS but she hasn't really touched it after starting the island.
  5. That's true, but that depends on the game that you are playing. I don't play many games where motion controls are always on like FPS, and when playing Doom Eternal with motion controls, I moved around so much that it wasn't me moving the controller that made me die.
  6. I find that gyro aiming is perfect for the small adjustments. I guess it comes down to control stick sensitivity, though, but I prefer that combination.
  7. I just use a grater for that Doesn't take very long but I guess that depends on the amount of cauliflower needed!
  8. Yeah, that sucks. But that's always the risk of buying something - it might go on sale the next day... I remember when I bought my Nintendo 64. 10 years old and had spent a year saving my money, 2000 Dkr. (equivalent to about £230 today - so quite a lot of money for a 10 year old). The week after buying it, it was discounted by 20 % permanently. That was a hard blow! I even called the store to ask about it but they didn't know at the time that it was going to be discounted.
  9. WW84 also launches on HBO over here so I'll be watching that when it's available. Looking forward to that even though it should be pretty average.
  10. Oh... I'm a week ahead of myself. Guess I really want to skip my birthday next week. XD Here in Denmark, it launches on my HBO streaming subscription so it's "free" for me.
  11. So, Snyder's Cut is out today. I'm kind of curious but it being 4 hours long is just a motivational killer to me. Will have to break it into two parts for sure. Edit: It's not the 18th today. Sorry about that!
  12. I've been watching Breeders lately, almost done with season one. It's alright, probably not something people without children would enjoy much. I had hoped for a bit more comedy, though, and I don't really like Ally, the wife. Will probably watch season two when it comes in a couple of weeks so it's not that bad.
  13. How are you finding Apex on Switch? I heard about the 30 FPS and sub 720p and thought it wouldn't be viable. I read on Reddit that you should turn off cross-play so that you don't play at a disadvantage and once that's in place, it should actually be an enjoyable game. I haven't got the time or energy to play much these days and I haven't got the free space on Switch for the game, so I haven't tried it.
  14. I came. It looks great. Should also be out on Switch given Dotemu's history with the platform.
  15. Started and finished WandaVision this weekend. Also finally watched Spider-man: Far from Home yesterday.
  16. Gave in and bought Fighters pass vol 2 the other day. Been trying the new fighters out and out of the box I really enjoy Sephiroth and Pyra/Mythra. Steve was fun to use but requires more getting used to, same with Min Min.
  17. Alright, that's actually a decent price and discount. So I bought that. Thanks!
  18. I know of eshop-prices.com when I'm comparing eShop prices for different countries. Now I'm trying to find out if there is anything to save on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters' Pack vol 2 but I can't find a list of prices for DLC for each region. Anyone here know of one?
  19. I've never played any of the games but people seem to find them quite enjoyable. If I at any point in time haven't got ANYTHING to play at all, I think I should look at these games then. Edit: Can we get a capitalised M in the title? Anywhere will do.
  20. Reading this, it feels like you are saying that everything in an open world has to be procedurally generated. How about this: the landscapes are generated with guided randomness to make a world that is somewhat easy to build but the towns and placement of these are not random and are carefully crafted? It is totally possible to have a designed city brimming with life and things to see and do and an overworld that is big-ish and littered with reasons to go to some place. Sure, I enjoy a good game design and a guided experience but to me, Pokémon games have become too boring outside the main adventure which itself could do with some new ideas. I enjoy the core game play of Pokémon and really want that to continue but I feel that the shell of the gameplay has become more and more empty to the point where Sword and Shield were even more barren than Dcubed says Hyrule Field in Twilight Princess is, completely void of side quests and caves. There is literally nothing to do but to collect all Pokémon, a rather dull task in itself. And besides, Legends doesn't have to be massive. It could be the size of one or two areas in Breath of the Wild, that would be fine. As long as there is life, stuff to discover, and things to do in the world, that would be great. We have only seen a little footage from the game, it's so hard to judge. And to me, the battles look semi-turnbased. Anyway, I like the idea of what I see in the trailer and I suspect that it won't release early 2022. It really looks like something between an alpha and a beta build, it looks clumsy and stiff. But if Game Freak gets some help with the development, I think they can pull a good adventure out of this. Edit: And I was really surprised that the Pokémon in the title is pronounced Arkeus. Never would have guessed but you learn something every day, I guess.
  21. I can't help but think that this game just looks boring, like @Josh64 above. I didn't play the original so that makes me impervious to nostalgia, and to me, personally, I don't care about high scores anymore so replaying the same level over and over again to get a better score / picture doesn't really appeal to me.
  22. Seeing this video really makes me think this remake is hugely unambitious! Shame but this is a no thank you from me.
  23. It was a very bad trailer, I think. It did nothing to me, looked rather boring and bland. And it should release sooner than late 2021, especially with Legends coming out potentially a few months later.
