Wow. Er. Well. I'm sure something will be released in 2021 that I'll play. -

Should perhaps have said "dilectry" then. -

Initially I was not going to watch it tonight and go to sleep instead. But the hype caught me, I want to see the surprises directly rather than in the news tomorrow. Hype! -

Regarding the time, we have had Directs at 10 pm / 11 pm CET before. At one point in time, it cycled between being evening shows in each region - North America, then Europe, then Japan. -

Since it's Zelda 35 next week, I think something Zelda-related is a given. Either a remake of an older title or at least a new trailer for BotW2. Other than that, who knows... So many series could do with a new game so anything could happen. I wouldn't expect anything about a hardware revision. I would expect that to have its own showing, much like @Ronniesuggests. -

The Exercise & Fitness Thread: The Struggle Is Real
MindFreak replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Chit Chat
Going straight for front squats after back squats seems a bit exhausting. I would recommend focussing on each either for a period of time (say 4 weeks of FS only and then switch for 4 weeks) or just do alternating - Monday BS, Wednesday FS or such. I would perhaps focus for a period rather than a day but that's just me. I've burned a bit out from doing home workouts lately. I'm just not as motivated and my results are a bit lower than they were in summer. However, I found that some old-fashioned circuit training could help me a bit with the strength. 10 exercises with 50 seconds on, 10 seconds break for two or three rounds is really good - I do two consecutive exercises for each group of muscles; e.g. deadlift and back extensions, squats and lunges, push-ups and overhead press, etc. It's snowing and really cold here at the moment so outdoor exercise is not really appealing to me. I do miss running though. -
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury (12 Feb 2021)
MindFreak replied to Ronnie's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah, there's not that much platforming in Bowser's Fury and if there is any, using the cat suit can get you up without any effort. Generally, cat suit feels like a cheat mode in this game. Other than that, some of the shines are very very easy but I liked how the world is built and that you can enter the stages and do something on them seamlessly. I think this will be explored even further in the next new mainline Mario-game. I stopped playing it when I only needed two shines - simply couldn't find the last kittens. I also think that Nintendo should release Bowser's Fury as a stand-alone DLC package. It's simply not fair to the Wii U owners out there to ask them to buy more of less the same game again. -
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury (12 Feb 2021)
MindFreak replied to Ronnie's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah, that 7/10 was not quite logical to me as well. Yeah, Bowser Fury has a lot of water and the colour palette is a bit boring but the game itself is rather fun, except for a few Shines that make you run all over looking for a few cats. -

Review time! IGN – 7 / 10GameSpot – 9 / 10Game Informer – 9.25 / 10Destructoid – 10 / 10GamesBeat – 5 / 5GamesRadar – 4.5 / 5VG247 – 5 / 5Gamereactor – 8 / 10Polygon – “Recommended”Kotaku – N/A I couldn't help myself and awarded the game with 5/5. It's still a good game. The concept of Bowser's Fury is fun with how open the world is and how levels work in that world. I ended up playing the most of the main game as well, even though I thought I would skip a part of it. It was just good fun and is still a fun game. It does become a little stale and samey over the course of the game but it's still enjoyable. I haven't completed all bonus levels as I wanted to move on to Immortals but I shall get back to them when I want some more arcade-y game again. -
March 12th.

I think it was alright. Not great but had some good moments. The last part of it was not good, though.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury (12 Feb 2021)
MindFreak replied to Ronnie's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Having played it, I can say that I didn't notice it. I found some frame drops when going through the sky parts in the main game, when you get a star and need to go through enemies. Other than that, it runs smoothly. -
Yes. Live action version but with age rating 16+ due to weed and sexual themes. Teen fantasy.

So, finished Fate this morning and well... The ending was actually nice, the last 10 minutes finally gave some answers but overall, it was very lackluster. The world in it could be picked apart with just a few simple questions and the drama was very clearly aimed for teens, which made my eyes roll more than once during the last episode. Yikes. The story was somewhat interesting, though, and I would like to know what will happen in season 2, however, ainwill not watch that, if it ever comes. At least it was short.

Started this yesterday on Switch. It's a bit stiff looking, even in docked mode, and jumping is really weird. But the way the story is told is really a stroke of genius. I look forward to playing more of it. I tried remapping combat to X and Y via a guide but couldn't go through with it as it wouldn't let me add two button inputs, i.e. L+Y or such.

My wife and I are watching Fate: A Winx Saga at the moment - we thought it seemed like a good series to watch between breast feeding and getting too little sleep. We were right. Awful world building and shallow characters, easy teenage fantasy. We will probably go through with it, being only 6 episodes long, but not returning for a second season.

Unfortunately, it's already back to RabbidsOfficial.

Game arrives today, hopefully will be able to put in a couple of hours between baby stuff over the next couple of days. Paternity leave is god sent...

The Exercise & Fitness Thread: The Struggle Is Real
MindFreak replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Chit Chat
Some days are just not good days without any reason. Then you struggle with lighter weights which makes no sense. -
Just found this at a great price again so bought it and am waiting for it to arrive. Looking forward to playing it, as I'm nearly done with Super Mario 3D World, so perfect timing.

My 3.5 years old son has taken an interest in the real Lego, building all sorts of stuff. It's great, really nice to just sit on the floor and make stuff for him.
