  1. I thought it was supposed to be a Switch timed exclusive? But yeah, it's definitely one of those games to keep an eye on.
  2. It's a new camera but I also asked the store I got it from so we'll see how they respond tomorrow.
  3. Without and with flash, respectively. It's a well-lit room, though. I don't understand the need for polaroid, and I don't get why my wife wanted it. But if this is the quality to be expected, I think we should go for a refund and upgrade to the OneStep+-model, which is supposedly better than this.
  4. Long shot but someone might know. I got a Polaroid Now for my wife's birthday a couple of weeks ago. I also got some blank films (for i-Type but they are compatible as far as I could understand). They were produced in September 2020. However, when taking photos, they are really out of focus (cute baby alert XD ): At least they look old-school but I was expecting a tad better quality. Are we bad photographers, is Polaroid Now a terrible camera (I read reviews and they said that it was quite decent), or are the films expired? Disclaimer: I know that polaroids aren't that good and all, I don't understand why my wife wanted one but I at least expected the quality to be better than this!
  5. Ugh. Haven't got enough tasks to work on while my colleagues are on vacation - mine is starting next week. So time goes by slowly and I feel bad for not doing much work but I've raised my voice several times and asked for more tasks. Still nothing. At least I'm working from home with both kids and my wife home as well so can do some other stuff while waiting for my task manager to return to me. Also taking some shorter days. Next week I'll work half-time so only 6-9.30 and take the rest of the day off. That's going to be almost like a vacation!
  6. I didn't play the demo but if it just covers the beginning of the game, it probably doesn't introduce some of the cooler mechanics and characters. The time travel mechanic is rather cool, actually, and figuring out which of past, present, or future makes the enemy weakest is rather fun. Then there are some new status effects (I've never seen soaked and rusted in a game before) and I'm sure I'll see some cool things later on as well. But otherwise, you might be right. I think if it released four years ago, it would be novel but now, it really just is another JRPG with time travel. Development started in 2014, if I recall correctly - it's hard for a game to be under development for so long.
  7. Started playing Cris Tales yesterday. Didn't realise this was an RPG with random encounters - and a minimum of 10 seconds loading time before and after each of them, which makes exploration kind of tedious. And the loading screens are completely white, hurting my eyes when playing in a dark room. Still early into the game, like two hours but enjoying it except the loading parts and a few strange design decisions - like you can time jump in towns by pressing X and then moving to either side (past or future) and confirming with A - why not just press L or R? They aren't used (yet).
  8. Sorry, double post
  9. The amiibo has been hit by some unforeseen shipping delays, apparently:
  10. Got the first shot of the vaccine yesterday. I am a bit sore in the shoulder but otherwise felt nothing. Getting the second shot in mid-August.
  11. Fair enough. I didn't remember that. I agree that is against the nature of the game (but it's not an autosave).
  12. In MM3D, the new saves were temporary and would be erased once loaded. How did that break the game's design? If anything, it made it possible to actually stop playing at will rather than when the game wanted you to stop playing?
  13. Went on the scales when i got into work today. 67.4 kg - down from 69.3 in late November. That's pleasing as I have been working from home almost entirely since then.
  14. I've been concentrating on the spear lately and came very close to finishing yesterday evening. I was surprised by the final boss when I just thought I had him and he Today I got to the final boss again but knew I wasn't going to make it as I didn't have very good Boons and had no Death Defiance left. Was surprised that I even got past the third boss with my setup.
  15. Went for a run today when I arrived at my parents-in-law, there is a fine 5k route at their place that isn't too hilly. I wasn't quite motivated and the first km was a bit of a struggle but ended up with a new best in the last five years or so: 20:13. I was battered afterwards, though, but I believe that if I could get a completely flat route I would be able to hit that 4:00 / km on a 5k. Hit 3 km in 12 minutes on this run. Also, recently I did a PB on the rowing machine 20 minutes, which is my standard rowing workout (that and 8*500 m intervals). Did 5,719 meters. Beat my previous record by a little about 30 m which is actually quite an improvement.
  16. Oh no.... December 17 is so far away.
  17. It is. But here in Denmark, we are almost there with vaccinations, restrictions are mostly gone and things are returning to a normal situation. It's okay to go abroad if you are vaccinated, but the children can't be vaccinated (yet) so it's quite the surprise at this point. I know of a few that were going abroad to visit parents they haven't seen in a year that were affected by this. It's a shame, that's all.
  18. @Ronnie True, they could lose a bit. But at the moment it's still "Yeah, well, in three months a slightly better model will release." So those who will wait are still going to wait, those who want it now just get it now. I don't think it'll matter much.
  19. My son's day care was just shut down today because an employee was tested positive. On the last day before they close for summer vacation for three weeks. How many parents are now forced to postpone vacations, flights, and stays for a week? It's just possibly the worst timing they could ever have had. And to make matters worse, it's actually the first time they have shut down. Just great. We aren't that affected. My son will go to his grand parents on Sunday and stay there until next Thursday - they are completely vaccinated and don't worry about it. They'll then take him to be tested twice.
  20. It surprises me that they want to keep the original Switch around. They should just have phased it out and put this out at the same price. I think that would have resonated better with people and would have given less confusion.
  21. I was SO close yesterday, met whom I think is the final boss before freedom. I took away a quarter of its life but I wasn't good enough to beat it. It was my first time battling the third boss, and I was lucky I had three Death Defiances at that point because whew, a lot was going on in that arena! This was also the first time I met an alternate version of the second boss and actually I also met yet another version of the first one. Both were fine and I beat them without much trouble. This is by far the most accessible roguelike I have played, you get stronger much quicker than in other similar games, and I feel like I have a chance to actually win in this game. However, it's coming with an expense to the roguelike genre with all those extra lives you can get - yesterday I got five extra lives; two from the mirror, one form the cabinet and I bought an extra when I got the chance just before the final boss. Still, it's a good game.
  22. Episode 4 was interesting. To say the least.
  23. They could at least have added support for bluetooth headphones! Improving audio output is just stupid compared to enabling bluetooth headsets. But yeah, if you only play it docked, this is nothing. I wonder why they didn't just upgrade the Lite to something like this and then calling it a day. This is for the new Switch owners, nothing worth upgrading for.
