  1. The game allows for local and online battles for up to 4 players (confirmed in Treeouse Live).
  2. Cheers. Enjoyed the first game (though it was very dark) on Switch last year, so picked this up now for me to play later. Don't have the time for story-heavy games at the moment so will look for something more piick up and play as well. Hades might be that game.
  3. For 2021, Metroid Dread and Advance Wars are for sure. The rest - well, I hope there are great indies coming. 2022, not Splatoon 3 but Mario + Rabbids and BotW2 are going to be awesome.
  4. That was my first thought as well. But the last sentence may be something related to copyrights.
  5. Nintendo of Japan advises against co-streaming the Direct (i.e. streaming the Direct with live reactions): https://nintendoeverything.com/nintendo-asks-fans-to-not-co-stream-e3-2021-nintendo-direct-presentation-in-japan/
  6. Yeah. With all these different shows, it's hard to keep track of what games have been announced. Life was easier in the old days, huh?
  7. Really enjoyed the first episode of Loki. It bodes well for the show.
  8. Gameplay-trailer as well: This looks truly awesome with a lot of news.
  9. Fantastic! Really looking forward to that. I wonder when it'll be properly revealed?
  10. Greak - August 17th! Looks like Hollow Knight meets Trine. Really looking forward to learning more about this.
  11. Looks like good, old-school fun. Very good trailer at least.
  12. Yeah. That was a great trailer. Looks like an interesting world.
  13. Ah. I haven't played the game. At first I was like "is that Sheik?" but no...
  14. Yeah. Good idea to invite two random people who just started a games company and talk about an upcoming project that they can't name or tell us anything about. Friends of Geoff?
  15. Was that a new trailer? Looked like any other trailer for that game. I haven't seen any gameplay from Wings of Ruin and I've seen all official trailers. Terrible marketing.
  16. Agreed Those were highlights - but the no Switch versions of two of them.
  17. It's been a rather generic show until now, hasn't it? I would have hoped that they would focus more on multi platform games with this being a more general show. Nothing that really piqued my interest up to now.
  18. Well, I have been mildly entertained by it generally, even as a male adult who has never seen the show. I wish I could have played as the hero version of the girls more as I didn't enjoy all that extra about shopping and social media, but the sub-missions are actually not bad and there is a ranking system on the fights, where it is actually quite hard to get 3+ stars on the first try (but you can return to them with upgraded characters, making it easier).
  19. I was thinking that I need a thread to dump thoughts on random games. But i'll post here for now. I just finished reviewing DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power and I want to say that it's actually a decent game for the target audience. It got a lot of hate when it was announced in the last Direct but having played a good portion of it, I can say that I actually had a decent time with it. The story is trash (Lex Luthor wants to rebuild the slum areas of Metropolis and wants teenagers to design the new area - wtf? The game is two-parted: civilian and superhero. You cannot change between those at will, which is a shame. As civilian, you run around, taking photos and helping people. The tasks are quite varied, though eventually become a bit repetitive. The superhero stuff is about smashing robots with a simple combo system. Y for attack, A for dodge (why not B??), and X, R, ZR for special attacks. Dodge perfectly and get the chance to do a counter attack. The fights are ranked based on how you do within certain criteria. They too become a bit stale but they aren't bad. The fights would have been perfect for co-op though, such a shame that it's single player only. Overall, the game suits its audience quite well and is not a bad game for the audience. I did enjoy playing the game to some extend but I wish I could just be more superhero throughout the game.
  20. Finished Mare of Easttown this Monday. It was a good show with a lot of character and depth. It might not be as good as everyone's saying it is but I enjoyed it very much nonetheless. We needed something lighter and shorter again now, so started watching Cobra Kai yesterday. Two episodes in. I haven't watched the Karate Kid-movies since I was a child but I do remember some bits about it - but not much about the second and third movies. My wife has never seen any of them but she got spoiled a lot in the opening scenes of Cobra Kai. Anyway, looking forward to progressing it. I also want to watch Shadow and Bone now. It's good to finally have some more time in the evenings now that the children are sleeping better again. The past couple of months have been rough.
  21. Today I did interval running for the first time in months. 10 sprints of 150 m with a 5 m elevation - sprint uphill, walk back. I'm really feeling it. It's also funny how weather affects my exercising at home. During the winter period (well, actually up to the beginning of May!) my performance has suffered, I couldn't run as fast or row as far as I could last year. Now the weather has become better so I'm warmer to begin with and I almost broke my record on distance rowed on Monday, no other change than it getting warmer outside. Now I don't feel so bad about my form again.
  22. Yeah, I agree. It isnt a problem here with that possibility but news outlets posting the information in headlines and such makes it hard to avoid.
  23. I used it to play DOOM Eternal sometimes. It's just far better with Pro Controller and gyro aiming but I didn't have the TV available at that time.
