I didn't really like Super Metroid. Played it after Fusion and ZM and found it a bit slow and clunky to be honest. I really should try to get into it again as I'm sure there's a great game there.

Really enjoyed this, I can see why people were a bit frustrated by the ending, but it was always more the story of the relationship between Hart and Cohle. Though now neither character will be back for s2, and it seems like there'll be a new case to solve each week rather than one overarching narrative, I'm not really sure what to make of it. Sounds like a step backwards to me, but time will tell...

Feels like the only one who had no idea what was going on in that Direct. I mean, I've tried to like and understand Smash Bros...it's just not for me.

If they were releasing this on 3DS rather than Wii U VC, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. For me, it's a handheld, pick up and play kind of game where you can just have a few turns on a train or whatever but then end up on it all afternoon. I actually have it on an emulator on my phone, plus the original game on my SP, so doubtful I will buy for Wii U.

The reason for

Still not upgraded to the next gen yet. Still not sure which one to buy though I am leaning more toward the PS4, though the only next gen game I'm even remotely interested in at the moment is Dead Rising 3 on Xbox I'm going to wait to see what they both show at E3 and decide then I think. I'll definitely be getting one in Oct/Nov time when I expect Arkham Knight to be out.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem I was playing this back in the day, and my Gamecube came up with a disc error on the screen. My sanity meter was low so naturally, I waited for "THIS....CAN'T...BE..HAAAAAAPENNNNIIIIIINNNGGGG!!!"...but nothing...no button presses would get me back to the game screen. Five minutes later, I had to switch off the console and reload. Had this had happened on any other game, I would have been a bit miffed and just got on with it, but this one always made me wonder to this day...was that an insanity effect, or did my game really crash...? I suppose that's testament to the wonderful way this game got under your skin, no other game has had me questioning my own sanity like that!

Speaking of the comic...

Started this a few weeks ago, I'm about 15 hours in and I'm STILL getting bloody tutorials!! The one that irked me the most was when I was asked, "Would you like me to explain...?" and I pressed No, once I'd sussed it out, that bloody yellow ball thing came out and said "Oh, I see so this is what happens when you..." and then proceeded to tell me what I'd just figured out! Fuck's sake. Enjoying the game as a whole, but I don't remember the others being as hand-holdy. And yes, the humour is just not there as much in this game. I certainly do not have chortles.

Am on a bit of a jolly at the moment to be honest. I'm doing a 16 week training course, mostly in Leeds, and my company pay for me to stay at a hotel there and give me free meals. Plus I'm being paid £25k a year while I do it. The course is starting to get hard going though, all this talk of railway signalling, rules and regulations makes my head spin. But I know it'll all go in eventually, and I've got a good career waiting for me at the end of it. So career life is good at the moment for me

A big loss. I'm an RMT member, though will soon be moving to ASLEF as they're a more specialised train driver union. But unless someone takes the helm who employers fear and respect as much as Bob, I'm afraid that many of my co-workers' conditions and jobs will be eventually sold down the river.
