Needed something to replace my creaking 12 year old LG surround sound system. Couldn't be bothered with all the wires so just plumped for the Sony HT XT1 sound pedestal. It's got 3 HDMI ports and 1 optical so it frees up a couple of ports on the TV. Plus I can play music through it via Bluetooth. Well pleased with it.

Totally opposite for me. Though I do enjoy a bit of Griffball every now and then.

Don't buy many games Day 1 anymore but there is the odd one here and there. Getting PS Plus a year ago keeps me busy enough and it's rare that I want a brand new game now as I have a massive backlog to get through. Still not gone next gen yet. And I don't plan to till next year.

Minus the Arbiter sections. They were dull.

Dunno what it is with Mario Kart - I look forward to them, play them for a few days, finish the 150cc cups (after a bit of swearing) do a bit of online (complete with more swearing) then they go back on the shelf, never to be touched again. They don't hold my interest, despite the massive amount of content. Still, Day 1 purchase

Last week staying in Leeds this week. Happy in some ways, but will also miss being here at night. Will also miss having my food paid for every day! After 16 weeks training, finally got to drive a train at full speed yesterday (only 75mph, our trains are shit!) Spent today on a simulator with PS2 style graphics, covering the stuff we wouldn't normally see like obstructions on the line, degraded working due to signal failures etc. Was good to put stuff into practice. In the next few weeks I'll hopefully have an assessment and then be assigned an instructor who I'll need to spend the next six or so months with. Then I'll have my final assessment near Christmas all being well.
