    • The Sonic hardcovers are pretty good. Worth a read if you are a Sonic fan.
    • One thing that concerns me about the portal gimmick is that tracks won't feel distinct, and that every race will be a bunch of unrelated parts strung together. The random selection of rings for the portal (one for a known but of track, another for a random) doesn't fill me with confidence. Interesting that there's two tracks (or sections of track) based on Secret Rings.      Edit: the PS Blog has more details: https://blog.playstation.com/2025/02/12/sonic-racing-crossworlds-gameplay-revealed-new-mechanics-detailed/   There will be characters from "Sega universes" I'd rather they go all out or not at all, 99% Sonic with a few non-Sonic stuff is strange. The lead racer selects the destination at the end of lap 1. Which does perhaps mean that it's possible for there to be an option to do normal races on the tracks.  Gadgets will give you extra abilities or boosts. Hopefully not underpowered. I'm already seeing some powerful ones as a pre-order bonus. Vehicle customisation sounds cool, mix and match parts from different ones, add decals and colours.
    • https://blog.playstation.com/2025/02/12/koei-tecmo-roguelite-warriors-abyss-launches-today-on-ps5-ps4/ Dynasty Warriors meets Hades! Switch version comes out tomorrow, all other consoles have it now. @Glen-i may get a kick out of this
    • Nice to see the return of planes and boats, but it still looks rather bland overall.  The level warp gimmick might be neat I suppose, but we'll have to see if it bares out as a notable gameplay mechanic, or if it just ends up being nothing more than mere window dressing. Looks like they've repurposed and reskinned the Afterburner stage from Transformed as Metal Harbor from Sonic Adventure 2.  Disappointing to see them focus solely on Sonic again.  I want Rogue's Landing, not Rogue's Landing At Home.
    • The PS1 Armored Core games are a nice get.  Hopefully the PS2 ones follow suit later on.
